Nice to see someone not from Slovakia to play this fabulous instrument, nice job!
Nieje to ničenie tradícií, je to forma, akou dokáže tento nástroj priblížiť mladším ľuďom mimo Slovenska, taktiež ľuďom, ktorí nepočúvajú slovenské ľudovky.
    :)

Nadishana, do not care about stupids. There are lots of people who like what you are doing. I share your opinion - it is a great instrument and you do a great job. Even for us Slovaks to promote this great element of our tradition...

i am happy that there exist people who try to approach the sounds of the fujara from a new side! When i was in detva on the folklore festival I got bored by the slowak players. i know the musik since many years and they are very good musicians, the fujara is an instrument that is hard to play if you want to play proper melodies. But there is nothing new, people stay blocked in their traditions and young musicians with new ideas and young instumentmakers are simply put to the side as soon as

I am a Slovak myself and I feel really ashamed of those negative comments. It's like comments from people of third world countries who dont have much to be proud of and have nothing to do all day except to talk shit on the internet. I actually think that you've done a great job and I feel honored that you take interest in our little forgotten country (even from the musical point of view).

When the phrases and notes end, it feels like didgeridoo but then you play subtly the other parts, it's beautiful. It reminds me of music that I heard when I went to Shantiniketan. I am glad I found this and thanks for sharing.

Once more: I appreciate your choice to be frustrated for non-existent reason.
But If you care to read and click the link above you'll realize that what we're selling is futujara, which is not a substitute of slovak fujara, but an instrument made for different purposes, with it's own different technique of playing, 4 interchangeable keys, made for easy travelling. And the video above is my very 1st try of the prototype instrument which was never on sale.

    1) I appreciate your choice to be in deep sadness for non-existent reasons, my friend. And if you ever feel you want to get out of it, i have a solution, it's very easy. Yes, I have great respect for real Slovak masters who produce or play fujara, but they are not here wasting their time complaining in a comments. For those people who do i just feel sorry, they're acting against their cultural heritage.

Anyway, my friend from Gyetva - I recognize this random noise as fulfilling and as music. (You really need to focus on some fixed idea not to recognize that.)Listen to it once more, maybe you will experience freedom connecting the past of traditions with the courage of experimenting opening up the future. Don't give up! It might show you something that does not compete with tradition.
Besides if it's a plastic piece of junk than it's not a fujara, right? Then why worry?
    Good luck and peace!

A čo takto vyrobiť pvc husle-to bude tiež kvalitný zvuk.

I'm wondering if being insulting is somehow a part of Slovak mentality? Don't want to think so, but other people from other countries is never complained about their traditional instruments which i play or modify. So what makes you so insecure? May be now it's the time to take your fujara and make something awesome with it? I just doubt that being rude and insultive is a very efficient way to serve your own culture.

non-musical? random? Is that a joke my (slovak) friend? I'd feel being honored, if a musician like him would play my country's instrument going beyond traditional patterns. You're lost in past if you cannot be happy about improvisation as well as beautiful traditional sounds.
Those are 2 approaches to music..
Besides if you can play music (for instance the fujara), you can tell, that he is in control of what he is playing - while letting the liquid element of music manifest through him.

not sure of their cost.......but this is a serious alternative to the shakuhachi both of these are not to be exploited surely like the panpipe moods cds of pop tunes......deep listening here.....how much resonance in just the same note!!!!!!!! certainly benefit from reverberation acoustic or electronic is it "foo-jar-ah" of "foo-har-ah" or what do you know

But for effect i prefer traditional wood fujara:) Or PVC but wrapped with elderberry wood :)

    • @tapalota3
      @tapalota3 10 лет назад +5

OK Rade - respect - but that is very not truth. The fujara have a very specific sound and what is huge different - it's got only three holes to play with. Kaval has an interesting sound (kinda like it - I heard it for a first time) but it's just a liiiiittle bit similar sound....it's not a fujara. You can recognize those instruments without seeing which one instrument it's playing .Another different is Kaval more or less entertaining - fujara - soul feeding/spiritual instrument of the Slovakian sheperds.

boring music, almost no melody just chaos, and compared to wooden fujara, this "pipe" has awfull sound, mostly in higher tones.
