    Just absolutely amazing flight! Been flying rc planes from the age of twelve. Had many planes in my life. All my kids including my wife I taught to fly. Today my second oldest son still continues to fly . It's an amazing hobby and it always get me seeing those planes fly. Great job my friend, am a subscriber!

      Thanks Joedel. This is one of the funnest turbines I've flown. So easy going. So sleek and just has a presence in the air!

    Taking it back to when I had my Red Arrow and you had this scheme 50mm bird!! Only this is considerably larger!! Very cool! Looks like it handles really well!! Congrats!

    Frank - you mentioned it took 2 clicks of up elevator at 1/2 flaps and maybe 3 clicks at full flaps. Are you saying 2 clicks for 1/2 and 5 clicks for full? Or 2 clicks for 1/2 and 1 more click for full ( 3 total for full)?

    • @FlyWithFrank
      @FlyWithFrank  3 года назад

      I think probably 2 for half and 3 for full. I could almost fly it without any trim on the flaps and be ok

      @@FlyWithFrank So a total of 3 for full? Not 2 then 3 more?

    Where did you measure the elevator control throws? On the trailing edge or on the leading edge of the elevator?
    Thanks,….

    • @FlyWithFrank
      @FlyWithFrank  10 месяцев назад

      Leading edge right next to the fuse. I remember setting it up to get as much throw as I could get

    Frank, were you using slats and flaps for the maiden?

  • @N2RIT
    @N2RIT 3 года назад +1

    I notice this runway is shorter than the other location you fly. At lease you have a choose of fields to go to.
    Nice maiden.

    • @FlyWithFrank
      @FlyWithFrank  3 года назад

      Yea @JetJunkie. Smaller but also almost 1 hr closer to home. Plus I think I need to unlearn some bad habits that our large field instills 😆

    I want to use my kingtech k102 in my AF T45 , what do you think? is it too overpower ?

    • @FlyWithFrank
      @FlyWithFrank  2 года назад +1

      I dont think its overpower at all. I think it would be perfect.I wanted to put the K-100 in mine but it barely fit. The K-102 is smaller. I'd definitely go for it!

      @@Jetvlogger I use the spektrum 3s 2200mah life for turbine. And then 2x 2s 2200mah lipo for the smoothflite 16 and 1 x 2s 2200 lipo for my the xicoy lg15 gear controller

      @@FlyWithFrank I maiden my T45 (powered by K102 ,🥶) and almost crash as the elevator seems not responding to my input . When I add power.. it will dive and I need to reduce power to O and add flap 1 to bring the nose up.

    Great job testing the gear!😉🙃 my edf version will arrive next week. The sink rate was ok with the air brakes, slats and flaps together?

    • @FlyWithFrank
      @FlyWithFrank  3 года назад +3

      I used air brakes only on the ground. But the flaps and slats work excellent together. Takeoffs are easy. Landings too. This maiden landing was not ideal (jitters, down wind too) but jet handled it ok. I subsequently did a flight full of touch-and-goes and I was giggling all the way down! You will love this jet!
