I’ve had my WeatherTech floor mats in my F150 for 4 years and they still look brand new! Also, when you lifted up the mat the locating pins weren’t in line, are you sure they’re the right mats for your truck?
My weathertech liners are black and it took them no time to look like this. I take them out and wash them in the tub but they never look new. They always have a slight residue, scuff look to them. Not a problem for me because it’s a truck and used like a truck, but they definitely don’t look new for long. Bought the tan ones for our suburban and those didn’t fit great in the back. They constantly curled up and they scuffed up even more because they were a light color. Just traded it in for a Yukon XL. Thinking of trying the husky xact contour this time.
Love my weather tech ones. I don't have the curling issues you've had and I don't have those clips in the back, which is only because my truck doesn't have those clips, being a GMC. As for the hump, I don't have one. But if it makes you feel better, it shouldn't need to be as thick because it's a lower traffic area. Just has to be thick enough to keep water and mud (etc) off of the carpet. Looking forward to seeing the difference! Especially since I'm planning on getting an F150 by the end of next year.
Looks like you didn't have the correct WeatherTech liners for your year/cab style truck - that would probably explain both the curling and the water getting under the liners.
To better mold then to your curves use a heat gun or hair dryer warm then up pretty good and shape them to the curves before they get cold then t full bf lol way better

They fit the f250. I put them into he 150 second hand... They started curling in the f250.

Just sent my weathertechs back, they fit like shit I was pretty disappointed. I’ll try some husky’s instead

There's a place very close to me that sell bulk salt and will load me... I can also put bags in it if needed. A pallet of 50 50 pound bags is $350...
The husky fit is always terrible, incomparable to weathertech. Weathertech has now the HP version with softer rubber.
