First time watching. I know this might be a lame comment.. but you have really good knife skills because not everyone does! Next time I will chop up my red onion like you did. Recipe looks delicious!
I'm definitely going to check your IP playlist. I have a stovetop pressure cooker and am always looking for something new to use it for (& InstantPot recipes usually don't need to be changed much. I think maybe stovetop is a wee bit faster, but I have no scientific proof! 😀). This taquito recipe looks so good.
Your recipes seam so simple and doable. I apreciate that about how you cook. I love watching cooking videos but I am not going to try it if there are a thousand steps 😅
This is the first time I've seen Taquitos made with Flour Tortillas, which the upside is they didn't burst like Corn Tortillas do. I like the TIP that the filling expands; so not to fill them all the way across. I didn't know it would expand, since the filling was already cooked. That was new to me. QUESTION - Were the tortillas crispy all the way across, or just at the ends? Corn tortillas come out crispy from end to end, which really gives a great crunch to a Taquito. Thank you
Thank you! The tortillas come out the crispiest at the ends. The middle stays softer, but if you want them crispier, leave them in the oven for another minute or two. Just watch the ends so they don't get charred! 😀
You can cook the filling on stovetop. See the instructions in the FAQ section of my blog post for this recipe: www.veganrunnereats.com/16996/vegan-taquitos/
