The Supremes as a group should be inducted into the Hall of Fame, if not already. Ms.Ross as a solo artist should be, also.
Ross also should be inducted as solo.

But all of the Jackson's talk like that. I think her influence in that manner spreads throughout the family. It was already close to the way their mother speaks as far as tone, but you definitely hit the nail on the head about the cadence. MJ, Toya, Janet and Jermaine especially have that same Ross-ish cadence.

Because she sold more records than any female singer in those days, and she did it when there were no tricks, in the face of many who said she couldn't sing. Her concerts were always full house. Many dismissed her as some kind of pop-tart that would fade away in a year. They didn't get it, and never did. Too bad for them

I think it’s because everyone knows the 60’s was an incredibly pioneering time. Things changed drastically around that time and set path for the future for sure. Diana Ross was a huge part of the change, so it was easy to call her a legend by the time the 70’s rolled in. One of the most candid interviews ever witnessed. Now, I really understand her even though I’ve been a fan since the group first started and the early Motown glory days. She’s did it! Diana Ross self-actualized. It was great to hear how the name change of the Supreme came about. And it’s unfortunate how singers of her caliber aren’t appreciated and recorded due to age discrimination in the industry. I just listened to the non-CD release of Diana Ross Sings Songs from The Wiz and was astonished to hear her voice displayed in such form. Her vocals are at it’s best. The ballads are unbelievable. And Quincy Jones has said that she is hardest working person with whom he’s worked. From Quincy that’s quite a compliment! Check out her last few studio albums and you’ll be able to witness what we’re missing now. Thanks Diana for sharing The Gift...

MY GOODNESS!!! It has taken soooooooo long to see this in its entirety. Thank you soo much. This is an interview for the books. One of those rare interviews that you hear her talk a little deeper about The Supremes. It was really useful information. 💙 what an incredible woman. Not so into the creepy interviewer though. I can only imagine how inappropriate he's been to women behind the scenes.

Russell Harty was a much loved TV personality and great chat show host. He was a closeted gay man who sadly died a very public death from AIDS. His final days saw him treated dreadfully by the UK media who sneaked into his hospital room to photograph him on his death bed. A complete lack of respect for a dying man. Russell is remembered fondly. He was famous for messing up and his infamous interview with Grace Jones where she slapped his face during a live interview is TV gold.

Amazing interview. Amazing woman. Positive thinking. I am sold. 2021. This inview explains a lot now. She was doing it all back then. Early. She is still very much relevant. She shows the true power and yes she does affect things. She is living proof. She "did" some shady stuff - I did not approve of some things she did, but you know what? She is not my mother! So I have learned, and copying her POSITIVITY, she is amazing. I am very happy. She is human. Not an alien. That energy? It is because she IS a STAR. We should value her. Amazing.

She was intentionally robbed of the Oscar. It certainly had a lot to do with her color and how the industry was completed caught by shocked on how her first acting performance could be that impactful and magnificent. She just did not hit the homerun out the park, she hit a Grand slam. That was an indescribable performance. Let's keep it real! Let's make it 100!

COLORED? LORD he must have been real old. This were the 70's. However I like the way Diana Ross looked at him. Her facial expression let him knew that referring to Blacks as colored was incorrect. Then she proceeded to answer his question and recovered nicely. Way to go Diana Ross.

God, will people, or can people ever get over color? All he can see is that she is a woman of color, its not just him alone but lot of people are still that way. She's a very smart woman of color and he cant take her. If that was Barbara or Dolly Im sure he would not have acted or questioned her in the same manor.

Diana Ross is correct about doing the most work, while sharing the Supremes pay three ways evenly. Diana was the only one singing on many Supremes recording. Her father always pushed her to demand more money. That’s why I never felt pity for Flo or Mary. For Flo not to show up for performances and the girls to act unprofessional and tried to jeopardize the group, caused Berry to react. That’s why he had Cindy in the woodworks and made Diana do most of the work. In the end, Mary sided to have Flo leave. Florence and Mary were jealous of Diana, but I felt Flo really had emotional issues/trauma and misplaced her anguish. When Jean Terrell took over that group, Mary never said a word and she stayed in the group and was the only original. Diana was never the reason why Mary wasn't the lead, as she stated.
