i was lucky enough to have the channel recommended to me when it was just starting. Really hoping modern Paul keeps up with videos like this. This is good stuff
Hes cheeting already, that didnt take long, there was to be no free stuff. That Kawaka for a grand would have done perfect and gave some extra budget.I would have looked for a ?Suzuki M109R (perfect muscle bike) Cheers from Wangavagas
That he got for close to $2000 less than anyone else would've paid for it. For $2000 more than the agreed price that the B&B guys paid they could've come up with easier bikes to build too.
@Mike-q1z9w I know a few folks who have picked up a yamaha for $1500 or less. Myself included. To complement my touring harley, I got a warrior 1700 for $1500 and a long road trip home. 😂
For sure. He’s the only one with experience building a custom bike and getting the right look. Craig knows how to work on stuff, but isn’t really into custom built stuff. Sean will have to bring in other people to help him out.
Although the Yamaha is a better bike than that $1k Kawasaki, they are extremely similar bikes. Actually Paul SR. did Shawn and Craig a solid by spending $2k more on the Yamaha rather than having the $2k extra to put in the build to be honest, they are truly that similar. If you are crying because you want Paul SR. to lose you obviously don’t understand how similar the bikes are and that would have just gave Paul SR $2k more to throw at it and make it that much better.
@lanejohnson7656 I don't think there has ever been much chance if Paul losing. He has way more resources and connections than Sean or Craig. They have been fighting an uphill battle from the start. I have a ton of respect for Sean going the most difficult route possible
I have built a few bobbers odf the vstars and roadstars, this will finally show his mechanics and style that made him famous. Go head Sr. show them the old skool you.
Yamaha’s sound really good with a nice set of pipes. When I was still riding Yamaha all the Harley riders I rode with made comments how good my bike sounded.
I have an '05 warrior. There really isn't much in the way mods outside comfort. Unless you want big bore kit and fat tires ... there is a turbo kit I saw... 😅 classic roadstars are a beaut!
@@ride1400fastyea I love my bike they’re great! It has the big bore kit and an aftermarket tuned exhaust. It also got its badges and stickers deleted and given a fresh coat of white! Thing is beautiful but I want to see what it’ll look like with a chopped bobber style fender 🤙
@@ride1400fast MASSIVE difference between a xv1700 and a Warrior.. I had a 06 Warrior that was chipped and I don’t know what else was done to it, just know it was a bad biotch and with Cobra neighbor haters it was a loud biotch also. On group rides I would always have someone different behind me and constantly got the remark “that bike sounds good, but damn is it loud” from Harley guys.. lol. Awesome bikes, but literally zero aftermarket without being a machinist making parts yourself or having skills to make aftermarket parts fit. The xv1700’s are by far more easy to modify and make your own..
Yamaha made the best metric cruisers by far. Honda kinda started the trend but Suzuki and especially Yamaha took it to the next level. Kind of a shame Paul SR. didn’t find a Raider that was basically just the frame and engine to build off from. Other than maybe a Stryker he got the ideal bike. A Suzuki Intruder would have been cool also. But it’s hard to argue against Yamaha. And that’s coming from a Harley rider that’s still kind of pissed at Yamaha for basically axing their cruiser lineup.
Build it for me Paul Sr!!!! A drunk cager with no insurance took this disabled Veteran and his Ultra Classic out 🤦♂️😵💫 That's gonna be a great build sir 💪🏽😎👍🏼
Looking forward to this. Not surprised he ended up with one of the most "harley" like bikes, but still big air cooled V-Twins are his jam so this should be pretty sweet.
That’s a good foundation to start with!!! I am a Srk cycles fan but I hope you do something cool to this!!! Grew up watching you build bikes glad to see you still killing it!
Money is on paul here! Dudes built some weird stuff. But fundamentally, hes a artist. As long as the ride quality remains in check. Hes pulling a easy win.
I am totally thrown off. The fact that you saw a bike that was decent other than a Harley and complimented it is fantastic! It ain't about the ride, it's about the journey. That is a clean bike for 3k. They were super kind to let it go for that price. The fact that it's a charity helped but even still that's a great deal. How many miles does it have? Regardless, it sounds great and looks great. It's a great base for your to do your magic on. I look forward to what you are gonna do with her! I miss your TV show. I used to love the builds you did and all the custom work from tube bending to tank making. This little challenge should be entertaining. The guys at Bike and Beards are good dudes and you guys seem to get along well.
I had a 2002 Yami V Star Silverado 1100 before my Harley. Great bike, super comfortable, just severely underpowered. I can't wait to see what you all come up with.
I've owned several Yamaha V Stars. Not only are they good bikes, but there is so much you can do with them. People always used to ask me if mine was a Road King, and I would always tell them, no, its a Hardly Davidison...
haha this is hilarious. Already Pauls bike is the best out of the bunch. He wanted him to do a sport bike but found a beautiful cruiser for nearly half the asking price. Man I need to start looking at older bikes. There are some steals out there.
Paul gets a good bike with ages of experience and Sean got a burned bike to start with, what a brave man.. Personally I wanted to see more Japanese style bike but this bike is great. Make this Yamaha chopper looks badass Mr Paul Sr
Should have got the 1500 Vulcan. I had one of those, great bikes. I got broadsided by a container lorry coming out of the port, the police kept asking where the bike was at the crash scene, they couldn’t believe it had been hit, the thing only had a few scratches! Great bikes.
this is so awesome. really gre4at to see paul's mind race looking at a completely new and unfamiliar canvass. i think the metric bikes are growin on him a little bit
I'm glad you're doing this. Is fun to watch. People can say what they want but building a custom bike isn't really in the Shaun or Craig's wheelhouse other then some fun gimmick stuff. I'm fan or all 3 of y'all so not being negative. A Japanese build from you will be cool. I like it all being light hearted and fun. Honestly Shaun might have done himself in already with bike purchase. Good luck!
Whiskey in an acoustic guitar, dry till gone with port up. For tank, that goes on an electric guitar body that is attached to frame by a skateboard. Add the port to a bmx fork, as if a wheel.
It was refreshing to see a die hard HD afficionado be impressed by what most HD riders ridicule. In the end theyre all bikes and pricier doesnt always mean better. I love my Vstar 1300 deluxe as much as my street glide. Great bike. Got it garage kept one owner 8k miles for 2500 bucks. Cant beat the value per dollar

I would have jumped on that first $1000 bike so fast. That mileage is nothing to worry about. Looks like it was well taken care of
Vulcan 1500s are pretty amazing machines
I agree, $1000 was a steal for it
Paul almost bought it without even looking at anything else😂
Agree.
Ill be honest. Im really looking forward to this build. These are bikes that are accessible to almost everyone
yeah it's awesome we have jap cruisers all over the world, Harleys not so much. And if you find a Harley it's usually the price of 3 Honda's
