- How to Sprint with the Ball
Running at speed is hard enough. Add a football to the equation and it can be an awkward situation all around. Well, fear not!
In todays video we’ll discuss all the steps to get you up and “running” (sorry about that).. for your first speed dribble of the ball. We’ll also talk about how to change direction, dribble through players and of course.. STOP ✋
I really hope you enjoy this one. Let me know what step most stuck out to you.
Cheers Folks,
Tony

Appreciate 👌ツ
Thank you so much❤
dude the start dribble is an aspect i never thought of… really explained my flat-footed, heavy dribbling and why i felt i was slow in reacting when dribbling, like i have to think really far ahead on what i want to do when dribbling. Thanks man
For me it’s a bit different I just realized there’s never been a problem with my dribbling and the only thing limiting it was my heavy shin pads and the ankle strings attached to it for my stronger foot I found a lighter shin pads and for my other one I just cut the ankle strings now I feel so relaxed when playing and I can make use of my pace
I want to learn football,
From where should I start?
@@kartikgupta5023 train your strong foot 1st.
@@mustytasty4287 dribbling, shooting or passing ,etc ? With strong foot. From where should I start?
@@kartikgupta5023 I recommend to learn ball control first and passing 1st. If you wanna be good for your team you need these 2 to be able to move on.
Dude your editing and pacing is absolutely god tier, I have a feeling you might’ve done this as a full time job before because it’s like industry quality, bravo
The way you described short passes and long balls, but no running. Exactly describes where I am at haha this was helpful!
🤣🤣
Remembering i subscribed your channel when you have 800 subs now it is 52.3 k😮. Such a great achievement coach 🥳 your hard works pays off🙌
That’s awesome! 800 wasn’t long ago 😅🤣
Really really needed this video
Thank you very much for uploading on this topic
🙏🙏
This video helped me alot your are the best man ❤❤
Absolutely insane man , Keep up with the nice tips and helpful videos !
Thanks mate! Appreciate it!!
The first two tips really helped me get speed and ball control. W vid
Man such high quality content, its just a matter of time before you become a multi-million followed channel.
You should do a video on how to get a good touch before a shot. I always take too much touches and lose the ball or take a bad touch and sky it.
That’s coming up in a video soon 🙌🙌
When I dribble too fast, I start losing track at the ball and end up accidentally passing it to the opponent 😢
Practice taking smaller touches with your foot. Do drills like the in and out. This guy has videos on the in and out on his channel. Track your progress by doing 1v1s with your friends and recording your training and games to see your mistakes
This guy is the goat!
🧡🧡🧡
Bro he was making fun of you😢🙃
i never really trained this and i’m 6’4 (195 cm) but this has always been my quality. I play center back since 3 years ago (was always a Cam or striker) and a lot of times i randomly accelerate at full speed and my ball control is good and i actually pass opponents because i’m faster with the ball then they are without the ball
It must be your strikers instinct to travel well with the ball 👌🧡 Good going mate
@@thefootballfolk yea maybe, sometimes i feel like i’m in the wrong body because i’m a pure instinct dribbler, feel like i would play on a much higher level if i was 180cm or something :(
@@DennisG9😢i feel that too man
@@cl1nkzy yeah? why?
Mate every video of yours is pointing out nuances that I vaguely felt but never articulated and addressed. Super helpful love from hong kong
Thanks Terence! So good to hear mate 🧡🧡
Bro, where are the views and subscribers? You deserve more than expected like one of the professional football channels of youtube.
🙏🙏
Some good points. Especially that last one. Making sure your body is across the ball and ready to push off to the next direction. It should come naturally but as someone who just started getting back to footy, my running with the ball technique is off and I need to practice.
🧡🧡
Oh boy thats a like for that RVN clips. Loved that guy
Been here since 20k. U gonna go far🙏🏾
That’s awesome! Cheers mate 🧡

*Always kick the ball on the DOWN STEP* (lunge or stride to the ball to improve timing)
(If you have to kick on the up step.. either head, hip or knee should be above or in front of the ball and use upper thigh to drag the ball instead of kicking it forward
Always excepting your new video! 💪 Never let me down!
May I say something like the conclusion?
I think all the key of sprint, stop and make turn is about controlling the gravity of the body.
When you sprint, you're bending your knees. To your body, it means down the gravity.
And when you having body touches, you also need to down your gravity to prevent been knocked away.
Hope you can understand my poor English😅😅😅
Love it Dai! Thanks for sharing 🧡

this guy just randomly popped up on youtube and starting making goated videos 😅
Appreciate it mate 🧡🧡
Nice video
I’m the best dribbler in our friend group of playing football (36 persons, most of them do football), yet I still watched this video, i only found out I was doing everything in this video subconsciously :))
This tutorial really helped me to stop ball
As somebody who does sprinting and football, your sprinting form is superb, you have great posture, leg drive and that arm swing (we call it hip-to-lip where i'm from) which will also really help you in your game, not so much with technique but just the raw speed.
Also, great video as always, I am already one of the best players in my team but these videos make sure I am always working on my game and in top form. And we always have something to work on! I can tell they also work great for beginners. Amazing work.
Thanks mate 🧡🧡

can you do soemthing like this just for mini--football / futsal?
Bro, you should get 1 million subscribers
🎉🎉
🧡🧡
Do you think you could make a video on how to get scouted or creating opportunities in football in general
I have it on the list 👍🙌
so unlike moving the ball at a slower pace to make space, I like to take a lot of touches with the ball but while sprinting I take a lot fewer touches to increase my speed but less control of course you need to do this only when u have space in the goal.
Good video.
Good calves, too.
Thanks 😅😂
You might not answer but thank you. You helped me made it into the best club in my city
That’s brilliant to hear!!! Congratulations 🎉

Awesome. No it’s a Tascam mic. I made the wind screen myself 🙌
@@thefootballfolkThanks, that’s really cool!
Bro i remember your knuckleball video from 3 years ago
😅😅😅
hello, im quite new to football, i just want to ask if there is a cue that i can use to use the outside of the foot to dribble?
Nice!! It’s most of the time to be honest. If you watch footballers on Tv you’ll notice most of the dribble is using the outside of the foot, as it’s more natural 😁
I had this problem like 6 years ago
I have a game tomorrow i will try to use your advice I will keep you uptaded
Awesome!! Looking forward to seeing how you do 🧡
@@thefootballfolk we drawed 3-3 I scored a penalty but you advice was very useful the instigating speed helped me a lot I managed to dribble 3to4 players before I assisted the first goal thx so much
You didn't explained about close control dribbling and how to be aware of the defenders around.
You’re right! Just mindful that I want to keep it clear and concise so it’s not overwhelming. A lot of my previous videos help explain these other 2 points a little better 👍
Man i wanna play football so much but like, living in an country where football isn't the most popular, specially in a city. It's so hard to find an place to play. Im just too scared if i buy a ball it'll just sit there or I'll miserably play alone on the fields filled with trash. Or play on a hard road and f up my legs. I think it's honestly just me scared to go outside my comfort zone. Whatever, it's not like i can't live without it.. or should i?
It’s definitely tough playing a sport that’s not super accessible, but I would encourage you to really give it a crack, even if it’s at home in the living room. Just learning the basics, and getting your foot on the ball is super rewarding.
Once you start I bet it will be hard to stop. And who knows, once you dive into it, you may realize that others are in the same position as you, that you could play with 🧡
There's a video from a Japanese channel discussing the role of the supporting leg when accelerating.
If you pause there at 9: 03 it describes how point number 1 (instigating touch) & number 2 (supporting leg in acceleration stance) work in tandem.

Bro I go so quick that when my football report came out the coach said i ran faster than the ball
Hey pls answer i want to ask about ive heard when you dribble at speed you should extend your leg so when you hit the ball it is naturally a soft touch and it allows you to hit your top speed is it true?
No it's not, the leg extension is actually done with a specific interval in mind. When you're in your high speed zone, you want to keep a measure of control on the ball you're not making youself faster, you just want a long leg span to protect the speed you picked up but you should also be able to carry the ball with you.
Having long strides to keep the ball in control is a good method at open space. But if you're going to attempt your top speed, you will have to use longer knocks
@@subutaynoyan5372wdym by longer knocks
Só é difícil pra quem não tem o dom gringo, deixa isso pra quem sabe
I weirdly never really had a problem with sprinting with the ball.
whenever I dribble with speed and pressure in a match I kick the ball too hard either with my inside or outside of the foot and the ball moves too far away and I end up giving possession to the other team do you know how I can fix this?
I would suggest taking smaller delicate touches to stay more in control 😁
id rather pass to myself, im literally chigiri
Nah I’d win. I’m literally isagi yoichi
I HAVE THE EGO! I HAVE THE FLOW
Do you have the low cut futures?

dribble with the toe part is the quickest way to drible fastest , not outside . Thats sprinting posture
