Visiting the home of Sir Winston Churchill - Chartwell House

- Last week, we went to the town of Westerham in Kent, south of London to visit Chartwell, a country house once home to Sir Winston Churchill.
The beautiful building and gardens are owned and maintained by the National Trust. Most of the interior, including the furniture, paintings (many of them painted by Winston Churchull himself) and decorations are the originals, you are literally transported back in time!

Wow, that is a big home and the grounds are huge - no wonder he was inspired! I've never seen wall paper extend from the walls all the way onto the ceiling like the before, lol. don't think I care for that, lol

The Travels Of Z Hi, there is an entry fee, I think about £15 each. The house is actually south of the M25 motorway, not far from Gatwick airport, near London.

Not quite your average 2 up 2 down is it haha. Really beautiful estate…I think a lot of people back home dismiss the great places that we have on offer, right on our doorsteps. Was that area in general bombed or were they specifically targeting Churchill?
