    Thanks for a very informative video. I’m thinking of doing the same to the basement, except that I’m unsure how I can use the screw method as reference points over the concrete slab. I’ll check out some of your other videos for guidance.
    But if you can here, could you tell me what kind of Laticrete Next Level concrete should be used over concrete? Wire mesh requirement applies on concrete? Would the minimum height of a quarter inch apply when pouring over concrete as well as over plywood? And is it possible to use silicone stamps over Laticrete to create a wood patterned look?

    Using the tape on your drill to mark The heights is so clever.

    Hi Sal, how would you pin a concrete slab? I love the idea with the screws to ensure level but my project is on a slab

      Use these, amzn.to/3WjqW11 or hot glue and a variety of horseshoe spacers.

    Good morning Sal, we are thinking of installing brick flooring in our kitchen, any pros-cons, we would be installing over a hydronic radiant system- any advice would be appreciated. Uncoupling membrane?

    How do you know if a floor can support all that weight? My house was built in the 70's and has 2x8 joists spanning 15 feet. My floor is bouncy as heck.

      Never mind, you answered later on in the video. Thanks!

    Sal in the areas where the height is more than 3/4" would it not make sense to screw in plywood or other materials so that minimum of self levelling is used?

    Did you leave the screws in?

    Can I use a self-leveler around a furnace and water heater? I watched the video from 5 years ago and understand open spaces but what about tight spaces? I have a huge valley in front of my furnace where water pools if there is ever a leak (twice in 30+ years) required removal of existing surface flooring but fortunately caught in time to prevent subfloor damage. I would love to level or better yet, direct to the drain.

    The tape idea is genius, may be common but that’s a great and EASY idea to go quick. Lol

    If you ever want to do another new floor in 10-15 years, does the self-leveler need to be buffed away and removed like thinset?

    • @SalDiBlasi
      @SalDiBlasi  9 месяцев назад +1

      In 10 years it will not be my problem, however you don't install tile so you can remove it. If you do it will fail and you will be removing it in much less time than 10 years

    There must be height differences between the existing floors at the doorways. What if it is big? Do you use a transition strip?
