If I was an elite QB I would absolutely take a big pay cut in order to win early in my career. I’d love were to say look give me a 3 year deal for 40mil per year 100% guarenteed you know you’re gonna get it all no matter what. But 1, you set the precedent for free agents like Brady to want to come to GB. 2- you give the team more money to get the best guys at each position. And 3- you set your self up early in your career to get one or 2 super bowls and if you get those post season wins you make way more in endorsements. You give up 10m per year on the field and make more than that from sponsors because you’re more successful. Taking less money also makes you a fan favorite and other players respect you. The team gives you more of a say in who they spend the extra money on too. If you take less money early in your career and you have the success you can then take the top of market deal later if you decide you want the money or you can keep taking less and secure your legacy like Brady. Plus the market is going to be 60-70 mill in 3 years so you can still take less at 50 or cash in at 65mill. Give yourself 3 years man
The QB market is what it is, he’s going to get at least 50 mil per season. it’s not his fault the team had him sit behind Rodgers for 3 years. His play last year earned him an extension. The team would be foolish to let his current contract run out and mess with a tag year after.
@richardtrudeau7363 the longer they wait the more they pay... and a 9 game stretch and throws he was making is really not that small of a smaller size and most guys go entire careers without stretches like that.
GB in a tough spot, as the best part of his season was w/ a full compliment of O weapons...i.e , when Aaron Jones came back----the long term question is whether Lovie can create O WITHOUT a full compliment of weapons-----good field general and respected leader yes----but can he deliver under tough circumstances? In either event, GB has Lovie tabbed as starting QB, and a deal should be done, and be commensurate w/ the going rate for a starting QB in a contract window----waiing too long will definitely NOT be a good idea...and with cap increasing/young cheaper talent on team, the window is still open to have a somewhat balanced payroll over next couple of yrs...
@@Dennis450D my point was w/out Jones breakaway speed---see opener V Chi---Lovie was ordinary to not-so-good w Jones out...great again w Jones back for mostly 2nd 1/2 of season..."full compliment" being the breakaway factor...
First person to comment on the video I love your videos keep it up man keep on posting great packers content we Really need to figure out how to extend Love's contract we need him as our quarterback he led our team to the playoffs in his first season as a starter he showed us that he can Play football.
The $10.57 million the Packers just gained with De'Vondre Campbell the other day off the books means Love will be signed within a week or 2!! He IS NOT sitting out, he's not Favre or Rodgers yet!! Maybe after a SB win, he'll become one, but right now he's as hungry as Gute and the Packers are!!
I’m sticking with my threes years 40-45 million per year and guarantee 80 million. I’ve only seen him one year. I’m also not impressed with his deep ball. Packers do not have a multi millionaire tossing money around.
@@mehassharpie I’m looking for a more consistent throw on 20 plus yards. Don’t take just one game and say he has it. He did get much better with short passes and the year went on. And he won’t sit out. We have two good back ups.
Are we look at the same passer, he throws, a deep ball better than Aaron and Brett. And most in the league. Give him his credit, we are all on the same team. He a Diamond in the ruff. Remember, that G don't stand for good. But " Greatness. " " Go Pack Go. "
@@artcarl9333 it’s not just one, that just happens to be the example I used. It’s one of his signature throws. He’s hit Watson, Doubs, Musgrave and everyone else multiple times with this little leany, back foot 25 -35 yard laser beam
No he shouldn’t make that much, he only has one season under him!!! What am I missing? He needs 25 a year with more if he makes the playoffs 53 million is way too much!!!!
Choked?, we lost due to a missed field goal when we were double digit under dogs... do you know what a choke is? And let's add context to those 9 wins... an all time great had 8 wins the previous season with veteran help... Jordan did it with the youngest roster since the 0-16 browns, and the youngest team to ever make the playoffs....and our offense was even younger.
what are you even entertaining such silly things that Jordan would not go to training camp?? He's got a year left on his contract - let's focus on other football stuff. It would be catastrophic for him to do so.
Idk sounded like his agent was gonna play hardball and wants top 3 pay. Given he has only played one year i think it's sketchy, i love Jordan but paying him that much on one year is risky, more tape on him now and thi will put us right back to where we were with Rodgers, paying our qb but wont be able to pay anyone else. Why we forgetting that?
Thank God you are not the GM. He played 9 good games 7 trash games and you want to pay him $53 million a year? Love has played 1 year these other qbs 5-6 or more come on do better.

That's encouraging news! Thanks for the update and congrats on 33K subs. GO PACK GO!
The luxury of not having rodgers is that im extremely confident that we'll get a deal done. In Gute we trust.
Yes at this point much less uncertainty than with Rodgers in his later years
Amen
I personally think Love is better than both Tua and Lawrence
Truth
Combined
You think? Not even being a homer, but it's a statement of fact he's better....
So you are saying
because the other teams
overpaid their quarterback
so we the Packers have to over pay
100% true. Which is wild cuz I think we all thought Lawrence would be like Aaron Rodgers outta the gate

Packers are trying to sign him as soon as possible cause they know the market about to go up 😂😂😂
I hate twitter
I will say pay him around 48 to 50 million a year
Absolutely
Let’s get it done! How bout 5 year $275 million? $55 million a year? What do you think?
Too much based on a small example.

Idk if having almost all of your weapons in their rookie or second year is a "full compliment of weapons"

I know
we all love Jordan love
but he only played
9
good games
In a row.... and got better when he played teams a 2nd time, he is making the adjustments rather than teams adjusting to him.
Oh geesh... maybe he gets a RGIII deal?

What do you consider deep? Like hail mary? Or like a 35 yard rip on a frozen rope off the back foot to a well cover wicks in the cowboys endzone?

See my comment above...GB in a tough spot.. but he is the starter...
It's too early to give Love a huge contract.
If the Packers were confident that Jordan Love was the next Brett Favre/Aaron Rodgers, they would have given him a huge contract already.
