What is the use of getting buried if there are some potheads digging you up again. i call it "grave desecration". The excuses that are being made to simply loote a grave are insignificant in terms of honoring the dead and shows 0% respect for human life. Shame on thems who do so.
The British Iron Age should be pushed from 500 BCE back to 1220 BCE and older. Anatolia Catal Huyuk of the Hyksos empire is said innovators of iron in 1220 BCE, then Egypt. But there are NO IRON MINES< and don't even think of talking about bog iron as a source of national iron production when the Egyptian desert and delta lands have no iron mines, no iron mines in the Mideast let alone Asia Minor. The only real source of iron would be Britain with all their historical silver, copper, zinc, tin, lead, ... and iron. The first documented iron mines in Europe were 1100s CE - the time of the Crusades. So where is there iron mines that are supposedly there - that is not there ! Even Scandinavia is being slandered with Iron Age, like Britain, of 500 BCE, some 700 years later. RUSM ?! 700 years. BS ! If anybody was making iron it would be the British, Scandinavians, and Germans with their mountains outside of the whole Old World pro-Egypt, pro-Sumeria historical primacy attitude. Britain would be the exporter as a GDP?GNP item for profits ... and these would be going into the Asia Minor and Mideast regions. Then deal with it - the biblical timeframe that the Cainites in the Land of Nod (India) , intermarrying what the pre-Adamites, these Cainites are said at the last generation before the Flood, Tubalcain (Vulcan) was a "worker in Bronze and Iron. That is ~1987 BCE for this plnentary event. That is 700 years before 1220 BCE !!! So what is it. Did Noah chop down forests for 120 years with Stone Age axes, or copper tools, late Bronze, when Cainites were working iron, for his wooden plankings in his wooden barge Ark ? The real truth and backstory of the Iron Age is being mistold about who and when.
I find humans to be more and more pathetic because if I were to dig up bones and the body put on display I would go to jail these people get an award or some form of gratification from the public, I literally see absolutely no difference 🤯🤔😡
Yes ,you would go to jail because probably you don't have the knowledge how to dig & authorisation . All archeologists are treating the remains of the bodies with respect . Whitout them we would know so little about the ancestors that once lived .But yeah ,nowadays most of the humans are pathetic .
Archeology is important; however, you continue to dig graves of people that are fairly recent, i.e., 6th Century. People bury their dead with intention. It's really difficult to justify digging such recent graves. Privacy and intention should count for no disruption to these peoples' graves. Trinkets, weapons, and jewelry don't justify recent grave digging.
What does that have to do with anything ? Archaeology is about learning about our past, and the archaeologists appear to be treating them with respect. This is being overly sensitive, and questioning the whole aspect of archaeology, must they immediately stop when they come across a body or grave ?? Really ?
Dr Alice Roberts - my go to for ancient's archaeology! Love her programs!
You know it'll be a good night in when Odyssey uploads
Very good, informative and captivating. Just ruined by the jarring, overly loud advert for history hit.
10:25 I think most people are buried fully clothed & with something that speaks of their life
great irish deer are beautiful. Imagine they were still around today. XD
Dr. Roberts as a REDHEAD! Be still my heart!
Ridiculous statement whoever you are... Archeology and artifacts matter; not the host's hair color.

Why do women want to become archeologists?
Because they love digging up the past
Damn...that's good!
I’m a woman, can confirm 🤣

they're doing this for science and furtherance of our understanding of our history... you're just trying to build a body to regenerate.

This is how we gain new knowledge of our past.
I wonder if a Muslim dominated parliament would be ok with this?
