Absolutely great film. The Lambton tank at Brockhole is superb. I can remember it taking on water at Penshaw in the mid 60s when I was a wee kid. It was the Lambton tanks that got me in my railway hobby. Best wishes to the North Yorks and all the founders in it's 50th annivetsary year.
When young my uncle would always instruct me after a rail journey to go and thank the engine driver for our ride. Advice, which I have always followed over many rides on many continents. Many thanks, a great selection of lovely videos. Rmb5*
This one's going in my big screen demonstration videos, something I find myself doing more often than I'd expect 😆 What a fantastic video. Well done to everyone involved in the production of this 👏
I have seen stacks of steam videos, but this has to rank up there with the very best. Excellent scenery, great camara work, near perfect weather throughout, clear informative captions left on screen long enough to read and not a diesel tacked on the back anywhere. What more could you possibly want. It's a 10 from me.
Thank you so much for your latest video, tremendous stuff, can't believe how overgrown everything is, stuff I used to see like the small viaduct at Esk Valley cottages is barely visible, yet some, like the opening shot is more open, it's a great video, thanks again, Pete
Thank you for this. Was wanting to finally visit the NYMR this year but other things cropped up. Maybe the spring gala next year I’ll be able to make the journey !
Brilliant video Liam and Phil. Fantastic opening shot and location. Superb coverage of this spectacular gala. We are both well considering we are both in the 70 y.o. Club. Hope you are keeping well to . Kind regards C&A
Thanks for the great upload, haven't been to NYMR for far too long, I'll see if I can persuade SWMBO to have a campervan visit to Yorkshire in the spring.
The opening scene, taken from above, is absolutely superb. Best I've ever seen

Great perspectives of a particularly scenic area of an amazingly beautiful island.
A truly spectacular opening sequence. Kudos.

Wonderful Content. Thank You For Sharing. Have a Good day!❤👍
Thank you! You too!
Repton always seemed to be assisted by something; I wonder if a large-wheeled 4-4-0 is really suited to that line
Roughly where abouts is 14:39 Just wonderiny
Nice vid - starting off with my favourite, the 9F! Kindly remind me what the LH&JC company was - thanks.
Lambton Hetton & Joicey Collieries or something similar, if I recall correctly
73156 seemed to have a real slog with that train seen arriving at Goathland, but it was much faster on other runs with a similar load
The Pullmans are a lot heavier and there was also the extra wagon with the generator at the end of train.
Great video! Very beautiful steam loomotives. Which Camera did you use?
Thank you very much. The camera used was a Panasonic VXF1.
