So we’re debating going to a resort that has overwater bungalow and diving from there versus going on scuba spa liveaboard? Wanting to see whale sharks and hammerheads. Would you recommend a liveaboard over a resort?

I actually did both while on this trip I videod. Whale shark you snorkel unless you go in February when you can do a live aboard down south.
I have been to Maldives 4 times now and book clients monthly (I’m a licensed travel agent). What I recommend if you have the time is doing 2 to 4 days in an over the water bungalow. Then do a live aboard. The bungalow allows you to get over jet lag and just get centered. Doing a live aboard allows you to get to areas that you can’t do in a day trip.
