Fischer RC One GT 78 vs 82 vs 86
Are the skis very different from each other or is it more about the look?

The metal gets thicker as you go up in width. The 86 uses a .8mm titanal laminate which is very sturdy.

Fischer RC One 78 GT vs Volkl Deacon 76 which one would you suggest for intermediate looking for versatile skis (long and short turns, fast and cruising speeds). Thanks

The Deacon 76 is more of a race build and can be pretty tough to get the most out of if you're not a higher level skier, or at least looking for a challenge. The Fischer seems to fit your needs better here, as the RC One 78 is kind of a midway ski between their race models and all-mountain skis. It's a bit poppier, more energetic, and easier to turn while still having a very high ceiling. I'd go that route for what you're looking to do.

Great review! I am totally torn between these skis and Rossi Experience 82 Basalt or Atomic Redster Q7.8 or Redster Maverick 86. I am more less intermediate skier, 185cm/90kg. Until now I was always renting the skis. Any thoughts which one to choose to become first skis? :) Thanks a lot! Great channel, you are doing amazing work!

      Thanks!
You have a few different things going on here, with the Experience and the Maverick falling into all-mountain shapes while the Fischer and the Redster are more front-side, or carving-oriented. You will get more versatility out of the Maverick and Experience while the other two are best suited to groomed and smooth terrain. I'd start there and decide if you're 90% or more on groomers or if you are looking to expand and be a bit more adventurous. I think that for a first pair, it's a bit more fun to lean to the all-mountain segment because you are not as limited in scope. I think the Maverick 86 is a great ski. Light, quick, easy to turn, but has a pretty nice performance ceiling that will allow you to grow without being too demanding.
