    I noticed that there appears to be only one claw responsible for advancing the film in my Canon S-2. I am curious if this is a standard feature for this model or if it's possible that one of the claws may have been damaged or chipped?

      Not sure, but I'm guessing it might only be a single claw pin. I have the Canon Cine S-400 which has a dual pin claw and the claw channel is much longer than what I see in the video for the S-2 (the little black cover plate at the 1:34 mark covers the claw pins - and on the S-2 it is much shorter than the S-400).

      @@carekbean Thank you Carekbean! Fresh Ground Pictures (channel name) is showing inside of S-400 and I can see clearly 2 claws. As much as I like S-2, a single claw doesn't deal well with spliced films. I guess, it is time to find S-400.
