Message from Aarti Holla-Maini, Director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs

We are delighted to share a special message from Aarti Holla-Maini, Director of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA).
In her message, Ms. Holla-Maini highlights the importance of learning about the opportunities and risks presented by asteroids. She expresses her strong support for the Asteroid Day in Luxembourg as an excellent opportunity to deepen our understanding of asteroids and the beginnings of the Universe. Ms. Holla-Maini also emphasises the initiative to dedicate the year 2029 as the International Year of Asteroid Awareness and Planetary Defense.
