love to see Mark as a teacher here and reminding me how simple effects like reverb or delay can do wonders to tracks when you're producing a track, thanks Mark
OK. I knew about the effects before this video but... this video kinda changed my perspective on how I look at overpriced dj equipment - which in fact is not really overpriced when you see how deep the company went when making and implementing effects on a xone mixer. I thought they just went the "pioneer way" - just adding a bunch of effects but not really having a grip on every possible parameter, with "korg zero" concept of having multiple fx available simultaneously. But this, is impressive
I've just bought this mixer, when trying these effects as soon as I turn the effect knob back down it immediately switches off the effect..... I'm not getting the lasting echo, what am I missing here please? ta
Yeah I hate that too! It's a pre fader/ post fader thing. Might be a way of swapping it in the menu somewhere...I think you can just unpress the effect on button at the very bottom though? However, I gave up caring and sold mine. Too much hassle...unless you are only mixing 26 minute long progressive techno, or using it for studio FX, these are basically pointless. Oh yes I'll try this variant of this effect, and put this amout of ejaculation on it, then blend it with with type of this other effect with a high notch filter on one side and a low pass filter on the other. Then erm....oh shit the record finished!!!
@@funhchannel If you guys are too lazy to read the instructions and navigate the configuration why did you even bought it in the first place. It's so f**** easy you just have to set it to post fader.....like on any other dj software you find on the market.
Hi, Thanks for the message. The expression control works as a HPF on the reverb effect. This enable you to do away with all the low frequencies on the reverb wet signal, which could otherwise cause an unpleasant low-end rumble. Please check out the link below for the full list of FX with explanations of what the additional controls do. www.allen-heath.com/media/XONE_DB4_FX_Notes_v1_12.pdf Kind regards, Luke

I really dig how Mark EG explains everything in all of these DB4 demo videos... Well done!
Simple* powerful video about this one. And good use in... that's why I'm not sure if I do missing something or I'm going def or what.
3:06 row row, row your boat, gently down the stream.

thank you Mark EG!!
I'm in love!
I got my DB2 5 years ago basically on the strength of these videos.
I have the feeling that " expression " doesn't affect something for the reverb. am I wrong ?
I have this mixer since 1 week and it's pure madness !!!
