Valve hires the best voice actors. Ellen McClain's casting was just perfect and her background in opera was put to use in the ending sequence which is an amazing cherry on top for the game, and Stephen Merchant's background in comedy likely contributed a lot to his characters line and delivery like the one you quoted. And the best cast of video game history would be Chell. Her voice actor perfectly captures the feeling and emotion Chell and the player feel during the game.

Well tbh she is connected to room size supercomputer and she actually rebuilt her room from scratch. But cleaning everything else is actually good amount of work.

This was detailed in the developer commentary but it's incredible how they animated Glados here. When she's powering up, they said they made her movements more mechanical and robotic, and then the moment she regains her sentience you can immediately see the difference.
Portal 2 is undeniably one of the greatest video games of all time. The game offers so much: story, characters, voice acting, humor, graphics, atmosphere, and gameplay, and pacing (it never gets boring, keeps you invested, and there’s literally not a single video game I can think of that gets harder in such a linear pace). MASTERPIECE!!!
There's an episode of Hey Ash where Anthony plays Portal 2 and then has the realization he'll never write anything as good in his life. I imagine a lot of devs had that same feeling playing through the game.
