loved already the whole foreshadowing through the anime.. its so decently placed and genius often. like reine calling him shin always as if she´s just too lazy to remember his name or she´s just out of it. also the first time hes at the fraxinus and waking up / later meeting phantom in season 3 etc. hints are sprinkled everywhere. havent read the LN yet, hope to find some time soon

The only thing I didn't like in Season 1 is the fact that they cut the throwback scene of Shido and Kotori on the 5 years past. This also shows that Shido is actually the reason why Commander Kotori exists as he's the one who gave her the black ribbons and told her that she can be strong while wearing that. The 2nd on is Phantom approaching Kurumi at the last episode.

Yeah.....I love this story. I thought I'd find the anime to be silly and uninteresting. Damn it, was I wrong. I prefer very serious, dark dramas, and I was caught off by Date A Live. These characters mean so much to me now. I just downloaded some of the LNs, so I can read ahead. The Star Festival OVA still breaks me.
My Japanese is not great but I am working actively on it. I have the Volumes 1-12 in Japanese and they aren't that hard to read apart from some parts when they mention specific things.
