I got this very early on the game when his approval was high. I hadn't killed the gur yet or asked about Cazador, not even promised to help the thieflings yet. All you need is a high approval and it's pretty easy to get with many dialogue options and saying BAA twice to the red cap while Astarion is with you.
Take more long rests. I made this mistake my 1st playthrough, resting ONLY when I HAD to. And then got 5-6 conversations triggered in a single long rest, but only 1 cutscene played. And it picked the MSQ cutscene, not the romance one. Now, when anything important happens to a character, I long rest (unless something is happening, like burning inns and true souls trapped by poison gas).
@@stars-and-clouds I got this scene and have done a few long rests since then and haven't gotten any other scenes :(( is there something i did wrong? or something else i need to do?
@@WolfDreamer96 maybe you need to do more main story quests. For me astarion propositioned me once during the day, we slept together that night and then we didn't sleep together again until a checkpoint in act 1 (idk if it's a spoiler for you so I can't mention the event but it's the major event of act 1). My sister got so sleep once again before that checkpoint so idk mannnnn I don't think you did anything wrong, just keep playing. The game is less buggy now so I'd say, it will happen some time. Remember to long rest often and major story points trigger new scenes.

True, I feel like there should be more. Like a gentler dialogue option of turning them down on their offer or expressing a more disagreeing response that isn't outwardly rude or hurtful. One that won't completely ruin the relationship or hurt their feelings as badly.

it happened as soon as we got to the gauntlet of shar for me, but I think it has to do with approval and all that cause some people talk about getting it before the party
@@ManubibiWalsh not really. I mean, that is one of the ways you can play but I was playing a chaotic good character and even with that many disapprovals by him, my approval with him by mid act 3 was at exceptional.
@@stars-and-clouds yeah, I found out the dealbreakers are not forcing him to drink Araj’s blood and not helping Yurgir. Even when I had him have sex with the drow twins he didn’t break up with me or react very badly (however I never did it again because it just felt too bad)
I triggered this scene after he had died in battle and I revived him with 1 HP. He was full of blood and bruises 😭
