The song "boy-friend" is about a guy who is going through a one way love with his "girl" friend. Apparently his "girl" friend is in a relationship with someone else and he feels jealous but at the same time frustrated for liking her.
If you had the same experience this song is something you can easily relate to. If I were to listen to the single "the friend zone" and then listen to this song, I would be able to understand/relate to it more.
