    Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje shines with an inner light. He is a brilliant actor and a courageous and fiiiiine man. My respects to him for fighting to survive and shine and tell his remarkable story. To watch Adewale and Damson Idris, who is a also phenomenal actor as well as being physically breathtaking, glowing on screen together. . . Epic! I look forward to seeing these men working together in more films!

    I think it's criminal that the term farming isn't taught in schools in the UK. This was the first time I ever heard of the concept of 'farming.' and history was my favourite subject, defo would have remembered

    Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje is brave for keeping his dream alive to bring this story to life. I recognize him from other things. I am glad to see his movie come to fruition. Congratulations! He survived and could tell his own story. Not every one gets to do that.

    Watched it last night - can’t get it out of my mind - horrific racist abuse - can’t believe it was his real story - the child actor was amazing I felt his pain - we had a black skinhead in Margate joey Sami - he drowned (pushed off the harbour?)

    I spend 5 days on movie plan as background actor. The shave my head , stick to my skin fake tattoo and was given proper skin head clothes. It was good fun and hard work . We spend there every day 12 hours, kept repeating scenes, all was worth it . I hope I’m gonna appear in movie a few times in background .

    Why is the title of this interview focused on the only white person in the group? She may be lovely and an important part of the film, but I am disappointed that the title doesn’t reflect the focus of the interview or the man behind the film. The title doesn’t even make sense for the content of the video. Do better IMDB. Give Adewale the credit he deserves and same goes for the rest of his cast! You didn’t even mention his name in the title. And no hate to Kate, my only hope is if something like this happens again she will use her privilege to say something.

    • @Wonderwoman79G
      @Wonderwoman79G 4 года назад +5

      Yes, it is fairly accurate. British people were openly racist in the 1960s - 1990s , however, it also depended on the part of the UK you lived in.

    • @jamara3330
      @jamara3330 3 года назад +2

      @Nathan Lee Not degrees, it would be racism now but it was ignorance back then. Some people truly were not aware, they emulated what they saw on tv and knew nothing about other cultures and countries. Even Lenny Henry admits his stereotype of African characters and supporting the B&W minstrels was ignorance. As a child, I would be horrified at my gran calling black people 'coloured' which was a word from her era, rather than being malicious. The mother showed the children affection and stood up for them. I met racists in that era, they would not let a black person into their house, work with them, use places they might be or beat them up like the skinheads did. My pub was boycotted when I employed black staff. Those actions were racism rather than ignorance. Adewale said it himself in an interview 'Yes, he says, the film contains a lot of racist abuse - but these were terms normalised by primetime sitcoms of the day.' So uneducated people did not know any better and that is the fault of the BBC act so woke today.
