Do They Know It #89 - DO TEENS KNOW 90s MUSIC? #11 (REACT: Do They Know It?) Развлечения
How about "Guess the era of the song?" where they have to guess if the song is frm the 60's, 70's, 80's. 90's etc, that would be fun

this comment needs more upvote!
thank you so much, i'm glad so many people like my idea! :D
That is a great idea
"We are heading back to the 90's today."
"Ooh, all the way back. That's ancient."
*Excuse you, Tori.*
yeah wtf? 90's is like most 20 year olds lol
now its 30 years old we are getting old :(
"Mariah Carey is somewhat known today" What? Isn't All I want for Christmas played ad nauseam every year?
Jackie S Yes. They probably have no idea it's her.
0:33 "I was born in 1998 so obviously I'm not going to listen to any music past that".
Uhm i dont understand that logic.
RememberRox 'past that' as in before 1998
Hola Mamacita still odd that he won’t to listen music made before he was born.
Hola Mamacita obviously that's what he meant when he said it. Still doesn't make any sense that he wouldn't know anything past that just because he was born in 1998. The music is still there for him to freely listen to. He's not banned from it.
CastleFlameGal of course its there for him to listen to it whenever he wants but obviously he doesnt want to
+Hola Mamacita Had he said that he wont listen to any music made before he was born because it's not his taste then that would have made sense. The way he worded it though was strange, that's all I meant :) have a nice day
I always love seeing Brooklin in these, the songs she knows she always gets into and it's just nice seeing her excited and enjoying them
Jimmy Wise SHES GREAT WHEN SHES ON GUESS THAT SONG 🎧🎤🎶🎵IM JUST LIKE YAAAAAASSSSSS GIRL 🙊🙈😂💞
Oh god when you're a 90s baby and hear some one say "oh all the way back, that's ancient" 😱😰😭😭
Well the 90s started nearly 30 years ago but I wouldn't consider it ancient
Nire Josh wtf already 30 years ago?!
Bz H well technically 27 but yeah we ain't babies no mo... 😩
Mad to think we're closer to the start of 2037 than the start of 1997
Gris3112 time flies……time flies
Mariah Carey dominated the 90s having a #1 song every year for the whole decade, being the first female to debut #1, having the longest #1 in US history and winning Artist of the Decade and Artist of the Millenium selling over 100 million albums.
That Savage Garden song is one of the biggest hits maybe ever. I can understand them not knowing the band, but the song? It's ubiquitous.
Truly Madly Deeply toped the charts for two weeks in 1998, charted for half a year into the top 10 ( 25 weeks) and 52 weeks at all, I mean was massive not only in the USA but around the world
*came out before he was born*
Alberto: “obviously I wouldn’t listen to it”
*has guitar*
Alberto: “sounds like country music, I can’t”
Thank you!Someone had to say it!
Darius is the chillest guy. Never seen him say anything negative about anything.
How do you not know Believe by Cher?!
I know I'm S H O O K.
Right she’s amazing
It saddens me that no one knew savage garden :(
TylerFurlong Yes!!!!! I was like " just shoot me".
TylerFurlong same here!! I remember when it came out and was always on the radio. Good times
Exactly
I used to "like" Brooklyn but after her Cher comments I freakin' love her!
The 90s ... "oooh all the way back, that's *ancient*!"
Way to make us 90s teens feel ancient Tori :D
I think it was sarcasm.
I'd go for hyperbole rather than sarcasm, but hey, whatever rolls off the tongue. 🤘🏻
“90s teen”
Something doesn’t add up
Keep in mind, kiddies, that Cher was already past 50 when "Believe" was recorded.
Pretty sure she was passing 60. She's no spring chicken.
@@pathogan632 Actually your both it was revealed that she is Immortal and like age 1999 then when it came out cause she is Timeless.
@@pathogan632 She was 53 when she sang this song
Hence to audio tune?
So many eye rolls at Alberto!~!
They don't listen music that is before they were born? Damn, I listen to Mozart, that means I'm a vampire!!
Lena Made In Buenos Aires lol ikr
I love ancient Greek and Egyptian music. I must be a demon!
Ahh cmon, your great² grandfather must be dissapointed cause your not listening to his song
No one knew Savage Garden/ Truly, madly, deeply.
Knife to the heart :(
eararadith07 ikr!!! :( so sad lol
Believe was also the first major use of AutoTunes. Would have been interesting if you had mentioned that to the teens so we could see their reaction to that.
I am HEART BROKEN that no one knew Truly Madly Deeply 💔😭
Chynna Lee I KNOW! I was shouting at my phone screen SAVAGE GARDEN!?!
+Kyrie Laming (Kiz) so was I
Same! I was screaming at my iPad
Lets play "What Year is it!!!"
Do you know it?
Alberto: No.
9:18 , omg i love her, she knows everything and THE way she jams, lmaooo
Alma Bejtovic brooklin is awesome ❤️
Truly Madly Deeply spent a full YEAR on the charts, half of that time being in the top 10. It was only knocked out of #1 by My Heart Will Go On, but resumed it's place afterwards. HOW IN THE WORLD do they not recognize that song?!? :o Darren Hayes has one of the best voices in the industry, it pains me to see him still go unacknowledged.
Diva Jackson 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you 👏👏👏👏
That Truly madly deeply by Savage Garden was one of my most played song in my childhood
He's obviously not listened to any music before 98 because he was born in 98?
And the surprise when he realizes that some of those making music before his birth is known today!
I don't even...
Noahs Voice is so amazing
"born in 1998, so obviously I'm not going to listen to any music past that"
this isn't just their generation, because plenty of people my generation do this too, but why??? stop limiting yourself! there is so much good music out there. I grew up on '80s music and love a lot of stuff from basically the '40s-to now.
Yeah, I was born in 1979 and I knew of and enjoyed listening to: Frank Sinatra, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Nat King Cole, Chuck Berry, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bing Crosby, John Denver, The Temptations, and many more.
A lot of them are so caught up in only what is modern, it's pretty sad. You'd think with the Internet, and thus much easier access to checking out the older stuff, they'd be all over it...
I'm a millennial by most definitions of the term (born in 1991), and the internet absolutely opened up my world in that way. I was able to watch The Beatles at Shea Stadium and all of their films and interviews in a way I wouldn't have been able to before that. This was like ten years ago before youtube clamped down on everything, but it was great. I had my own case of beatlemania. I don't understand people that refuse to listen or watch anything older than themselves.
LoveShiaGDSN totally agree. I was born in 1991 and I'm a huge fan of the 70's and 80's music
It really bugs me that people nowadays think that any song with a guitar in it is country.🙄
Thomas Martins + yah. want to kick that dude who said it. haha. Dave Matthews is one of the best band in the 90's.
Same
Me too. It's sad
I'm pretty curious what kind of music does Alberto listen, cuz apparently he doesn't like any
exactly lol
he said he's into the same genre as "Loser" though...
Aleberto - "I was born in 1998, so obviously I'm not going to listen to anything past that." Wow, such a narrow view from this guy always in regard to music. Rarely seems to know of anything. You need to broaden your musical palette. Test your boundaries and knock down some walls.
Kevin Dean Yea I was born in 2002 but I listen to 90's music more than anything else
Kevin Dean Completely agree! I mean, I was born in 2001 and only listen to 60s/70s music lol
I dont get why its unheard of to some of these teens to listen to anything that came out before their birth, its like they need to be spoonfed their music. it bothers me because there are so many easy ways to explore amazing music that transcends time. I was born in 1995 and i have a playlists on spotify with music from every decade since the 30s.
it's not that deep tbh it's about taste
Brooklin girl, mad respect! You're awesome!
"I lived in the 90's for like three weeks" this made my day😂
How did you guys not highlight the fact that Cher’s Believe was one of the first songs to ever use that style of auto tune and ultimately popularized it?!
Always 90's & 2000's we need some 60's & 70's
I don't think when you were born gonna affect your taste in musics.
You guys living in the golden age of internet, all you have to do is browse and there you have it.
when 'Loser' by Beck came on, I was all like "YES". so awesome.
I'm truly, madly, deeply hurt this kids doesn't know Savage Garden
Saaaaame.

REACT Hey FBE! Love every one of you so much!
I suggest a reaction to Dua Lipa. Please FBE.a reply would mean so much
REACT please react to muse!
REACT have them react to Mariah Carey PLEASE
React to outkast please
REACT hi keep up the good work guys u guys are the best love ya!
Who doesn't know Fantasy? That's the first song that I discovered from Mariah. I love the whole song and the music video. It was also from the movie "Rush Hour" by the way.
I thought it was Dreamlover at first...
It also was a rip off of the Tom Tom Club
Since when is 90s ancient
OperativeHD since 17 years ago, which is like 170 years in teenager years
Breezyy what's THAAAAT? :D
i mean, its 30 years old now ;(
I wonder if Alberto is there to balance out like Brooklin who knows most of the songs on these Do Teens Know 😅
She's Cher. I wouldn't expect any less... Truth!
Timothy O'Brien brooklin is the only one who appreciate the 90s😓
*swings arms in the air* Finally, Savage Garden!!! Their music was my childhood (early 90s kid over here), and I still listen to them almost daily! My poor heart truly, madly, deeply broke when nobody knew them :(
Eclrida i like the hooligan version of this song:D
Noah's voice is SO COMPELLING
Brooklin is honestly BEAST. She knows every song and artists somehow!
What do you mean "obviously im not gonna listen to older music than me" lol
THIS. I was born in '89, and there was this "finish the lyrics" quiz going around some years ago, an 80s one and a 90s one. The 90s one, despite growing up in the 90s, I wasn't great at because I had real specific tastes (read: bubblegum pop stuff) in the 90s. 80s stuff, I was way better at, because I was exposed to ALL the different popular genres.
So basically means your not gonna develop great taste in music or expand your horizon.
Brooklyn has a really good memory for song titles.
And it will be a sad day when Tori hits 20 and gets booted from the teen club. She always brings so much energy.
the fact that only one knew that believe was by cher hurt my heart
How did they not know Fantasy by Mariah number one iconic song
lol did that kid just say Dave Matthews Band were country? Oh god.
Everything with an acoustic guitar seems to pass as country for the teen and young adult reactors :(
yep that reactor doesn't know anything
I’m wondering if these kids know what country is, there have been many times (once here, and other times in other videos) where they’ve labeled a song as “country” when it’s has absolutely not been a country song... lol
As a lady born in 88, these 90s music episodes make me so happy omg.
Can't believe NONE of them knew 'Truly, Madly, Deeply'.
Also, you still haven't tested them on 'Shimmer' by Fuel yet.
Alberto was shadyyyyyy
"I was born in 1998 so I don't listen to any kind of music before that." Boy, you are missing out on a LOT of good music.
He more than likely has, but doesn't realize it lol.
most of the greatest hits came out before 1998.
Applause to Brooklin! Great job!
You guys should play songs and have them guess the era
young idk yes!!
That's a great idea!
The teens are so silly, I know about tons of music many years before I was born. Even though I was born a year does not mean I am compound to the music after my birth. Music is full of gems spanning back centuries even.
"I lived in the 90's for 3 weeks! That's the extent of my knowledge." LMAOOOO
The guy with cap has such tunnel vision on music. How someone who listen to music have such narrow vision blows mine mind. And to him ,Cher was 52 when she got that number 1 hit which took 6 years to create
i dont get how that song could take 6 years to create cause music changes so much in 6 years. anything they made in the beginning would be irrelevant a few years later
Alex they probably worked on autotune back then
Teens react to '90s girlbands (Spice Girls, TLC, Destiny's Child, Sugababes, All Saints, Atomic Kitten, Bardot, Girl Thing)!
It amuses me a lot that Alberto hates pretty much all the music that I like.
what i don't UNDERSTAND is the reasoning between "i was born in 98 so i wouldn't know any 90s music" like NO! you know that's available for consumption for everyone and not exclusively to who was around to remember it right?
like, just say that you only listen to contemporary music.
"Believe" was also the first mainstream hit that featured Autotune (which is is used on pretty much every song now).
I feel like we've almost exhausted the 90's at this point. Please do more 70's, also I'd be really curious to see how many songs they'd know from the 50's/60's!
Agreed. I think it would be interesting to see teens or college kids react to music from the 60's. There's so much content from the 60's I'm sure both college kids and teens do not know.
Strange the Reader some rock and jazz from the 60’s and 70’s would be great
More 60s and 70s for sure
How sad for savage garden. They would probably still be huge now if they hadn't broken up so quickly after their success.
Brooklins singing voice is actually pretty nice
Dude....when that Savage Garden came on...
Teens react to Mariah Carey 🙏
Darius just seems like someone i would be best friends with
BJE Same
BJE true
I feel sad when they didn't recognize truely madly deeply by savage garden. Comeon kids its an iconic song.
tenzin tsenpey I know right. I got oddly mad about that.
I was off by a nudge, I screamed Darren Hayes Truly Madly Deeply. It's his voice though lol.
Just because you were born after 90s, doesn't mean you can't listen to older songs. I'm a 1991 kid but still listen and know 70, 80s songs.
Brooklin knows what's up
Mariah's Fantasy, I expected more of them to know it since it was in Rush Hour.
Shirley A That’s exactly why I recognized it. 😂
College kids reacting to 90s punk rock/alt rock would be a great
How can you not know Mariah Carey!!!
*I agree LOL*
How can they not know Savage Garden?! OMG!
They are like a Chika cherry cool
I cant believe none of them knew Savage Garden. Favorite song of theirs is I Want You.
seriously, some of these teens are maddening. Is there a law that says that you can't listen to music from before you were born? these videos are a great opportunity for them to be introduced to older music that they might like, and yet some of them seem so over it.
Alberto is maddening, yes. He needs to go.
I'll second that. Kick him out!!!
Omg "ancient"?? "Way back?" Way back to WHAT! LOL IM ONLY 22
Brittany Stockman I'm 21 and they made me feel ancient
How did they not know Fantasy? It’s so iconic. Please do a teens react to mariah carey!!
Skinny Mariah IKR
Yessss
Yeh Daydream Album
Could you do a series like this but with genres? Like Do teens know [genre] music?
Ardin Ros VAPORWAVE
"do teens know deathcore/death metal"
Excactly ;)
"that was by Cher?! i love Cher!" and doesn't know her most popular song "Believe", sure jan!
she probably loves Cher through Twitter...
truly madly deeply is one of my favorite songs from them
Imagine if they found out Tupac was a member of the Digital Underground lol
right, I kept waiting for them to hit them with that WTF fun fact.
Humpty hump
Marlhy is always the highlight of these she rocks
Brooklin wins again!
Opuskrokus shes my favorite reactor. I love her
😂😂"i cant get jiggy to this."
She's Cher and I would not expect any less. I love it.👍🏻👏🏽👏🏻👏🏽
Please do "Do Teens Know Albums?" by showing them Album covers!
I want an entire episode dedicated to Cher🙌🏼🖤
Nobody knew Truly Madly Deeply??!! Okay, i'm done.
Márcio Pinho Ikr? o.o I recognised Savage Garden right away, always loved them.
Can't believe no one knows Truly Madly Deeply
I know right!
黄好 I’ve been pushing for a Savage Garden video. They were one of the top bands in that 90s genre.
All the way back, that's ancient.. listen here little girl!
Lyssa Belle ikr
I wonder what kind of music Alberto listens to. I really do.
nobody knows truly madly deeply tho, it was so popular back then
"well Damn. I didn't get any of that." LMAO with that response.
HOW CAN THEY NOT KNOW CHER!?!??
"This just sounds like country music, and that's a big no no for me"
Take this bat. Hit me over the head as hard as you can. Don't hold back.
And apparently, he doesn't like Believe.
Give me back the bat. Take this gun.....
I almost cried as soon as I heard Savage Garden's song. They are one of my all time favorite artists.
teens react for mariah please!
