I been watching your videos because after many months of research i decided this is the unit i want. I was nervous because it seems like its been out for a few years now (2019) but it seems to still be good with todays standard equipment.
Don’t worry about the age. I still have an R3. Their R1/R3 was their OG long range detector like 10 years ago and I’d still trust it any day. Uniden makes some of the best detectors and that’s a fact. The R7 is absolutely the best all around detector and I’ll die on that hill. I have custom software on mine and I’m very happy with it. Good on you for doing your research and not falling for Escort’s marketing. Escort is trash and their detectors will get you a ticket that a Uniden could otherwise save you from.
