  • Title:
    Metasurface Polarization Optics
    Abstract:
Metasurfaces are flat, diffractive optical elements that have recently attracted significant interest in photonics. An emerging application of metasurfaces is in the manipulation of polarized light. In this talk, I will describe a viewpoint based on the Jones calculus that unifies a wide body of past work in metasurface polarization optics (as well as in several other related technologies of the past and present). I will additionally discuss some recently-demonstrated applications of these metasurface polarization optics.
