Sgt. Dickbed Whoa, thank you! That's one of the most genuine compliments I've received in a while, not many people notice the styles, thank you a ton! Made my day, thank you for the support!!!😊😄
Oneshot achieved something that very few video games can ever hope to achieve, and that is making a fictional character feel like a real person. What I mean is that other video games give you a character you feel very attached to but in your conscience you know that character is fake and doesn’t exist. Niko is not like that. Niko interacts with you and wants to get to know you in the game and Niko reacts on certain things throughout the adventure. WARNING ⚠️ (if you haven’t beaten the game yet I am about to spoil the ending to the game. If you don’t want the ending spoiled to you, then please stop reading now.) When I completed my first playthrough, I was given, and I shit you not, the hardest decision I have ever had to make in my life. Either I save the world and sacrifice Niko, or I return Niko home and have Niko live with the guilt of having to destroying the world. And the text the game gives you before you make your decision is “What is the right thing to do?” I chose to save the world because even if Niko died, I had some faith that Niko would come out alive. After the credits ended, I never saw Niko again. I cried. I cried for about five minutes mourning the death of a beloved friend from a game I really like. The same thing happened in the solstice run but it was a different feeling. As I saw Niko walk through my computer screen I reflected on what we went through and I felt so happy for Niko to finally return home. And let me tell you, I didn’t know about the solstice playthrough when I first played the game and when I found out about it, I immediately stopped what I was doing and ran right up to my laptop to continue.
You nailed that right in the feels. The last few words you share with Niko at the very end of Solstice are heart-wrenching as you know that you'll never talk to each other again, as any additional run is filled in by OneShot itself for the purpose on exploring what you possibly missed in your first run. The only thing that freaked me out was her visibly walking out of the game window on my screen. I know it's basically a visual representation of her leaving the game and returning home, but it threw me off. Even when you have the make a decision on what the outcome will be; you're told to keep Niko safe (so destroy the world would be the choice) BUT your entire journey and friendship was built around saving the world (which Niko is told to do in many instances). I chose to save the world as I would think Niko wouldn't forgive me for destroying a world we both cared about just to send her home AND I'd hate for her to think I make her live with that fact (which she even says she couldn't make the decision as it was too hard for her to do). Niko is a person. She's not from the game. So if she is real but not human...she could be out there somewhere. At least, in the game's meta-canon, there is hope on meeting again somewhere out there...
I felt it was best to send niko back home, mainly based on the fact that i didnt know if niko would survive, because niko would be unhappy, and because "The squares man, There bad news". but seriously the squares would destroy everything anyways so if you DID return the sun and niko lived She/He *i dont want to start a conflict whether its a boy or a girl* would most likely die anyways along with the rest of the world.
6:45 When this melody started, I immediately felt sad that the adventures were already over and we would not see Niko again, but she is now happy and everything ended well, but I will miss her so we all went through a lot with her and I didn’t really want her to become unhappy, sad and lose her friends and family forever and for everything to be fine and for her to be alive. The remix is awesome and beautiful👍
This is amazing, I love it. On Little Cat Feet always had this almost warm, soothing, and comforting feel to me and this quieter and smooth remix just cements those feelings. Feels like being in a warm little cafe, eating pancakes and staring out into the rainy red city...preparing to save the world. Love it!
For me, On Little Cat Feet always gave me a feeling of duty. Like, you have to do this. We have to save the world. We're here, we're so close, and now, we *have* to save the world. It's our mission. And we have to complete our mission. It always feels like strength to me
To the people who are specifically listening to this underrated remix and somehow stumbles upon this comment, Gosh I really love this remix, my favourite out of all of the On Little Cat Feet remixes there are.
This feels like an entirely different song. It feels as if the main character in a story went through an incredibly long journey, fighting through everything for their own goals only to end up on the verge of defeat towards the end. However, their determination slowly rises up just like the volume and heroism in the song really start to amp up.
This whole area makes me want to replay Va-11 Hall-A all over again. This city has such a somber vibe to it. You can tell that all the people lived such vibrant lives, but now their hopes have been snuffed out and they have accepted their fate. This type of setting makes me feel strange emotions.
There are works of art that are good, great, incredible, or just trash. But there are a select few in the world that are true masterpieces. These are the songs that people hear in times of emotional intensity when the song has never been heard before. These are the little works of gods that truly reach in an touch the audience to the core, into their very being. And although the praise of many may be a great reward in itself, the knowledge that you have touched a few is a greater one still. And I have truly been moved.
hi, hows it been? ever since i saw this, i've still been listening to it. it makes me still remember of niko, and the game itself. this is genuinely a nostalgic remix of the original, and i love it.
Honestly, if I had half as much musical talent as you, I'd still be able to make great remixes and compositions. I love how you kept the constant (and catchy) melody fresh by adding more layers of sound. The emotional weight of this piece (at least in the first half or so) sounded beautiful, as with the less calm part. I really need to get onto making those Top 15 videos I want to do highlighting remixers, but I'll probably wait a bit on yours if I make them, seeing as your talent is still growing and I don't have a whole lot of options. This would be in the top 5, though. Fantastic remix.
I remember when I was getting new to the game. I felt the exact thing as you. I was so curious and confused about this game. By now I think you know much more but you would realize that the more you got into it further the more emotional impact would come to you. It hit me hard. I just couldn’t stop thinking of Niko for so long. That was I think about 4-5 months ago. It seems like it was so far back but yet It wasn’t that far. I don’t care what people think or say it’s a game. To me Niko is much more then a “game” I’ve been gone from her for a bit and I’m coming back now. Coming back feels just like when I was new. Overall I agree with you. It’s so many emotions at once. Almost... unexplainable.
When I went (or more the youtuber I was watching went, as I couldn't afford to pay for a video game XD) into the city, I personally felt something speacial... The other places were beautiful, but when we were near the water, and mostly, in the city, I felt like I already knew those places but don't remember about them, like I've already been here. Just the atmosphere in the city made me at ease and excited at the same time... Like when I'm in the city I spend every summer holiday since I'm born at ! Even if they don't really look alike...
OneShot brought the emotion, life and Niko to life. I cryed at it's ending (causing myself to think of "what is reality again?". o_o). I love the game, and I LOVE your ReMix as well!!! This has a sweet build up man! In my opinion: This one goes beyond the other On Little Cat feet ReMixes (that i heard)! But y'know it's just my opinion. I'm subscribing to you! U ROCK! Keep it up :D
I want another game on OneShot where you actually get to explore Niko’s word. Cat people everywhere in city’s would really fascinate me seeing Niko’s species. Making your way through the world and most ultimately.. seeing Niko once again. I would have tears in my eyes seeing her again (or could be a he, but I think it’s a female) I bet she or he would have tears in her or his eyes too. After so long we would finally be able to see each other again. Niko is the best character I have ever known. I think it’s going to stay the same forever.
DANK EDITING all of us want to. But if nightmargin doesn’t do so (probably won’t) then that’s fine. I just wish to continue the fandom of OneShot. Maybe I or someone can make a spin off? Idk but I just want something to.... to.. to see Niko again. I want to just see how she’s doing. I just want.. just to know she’s ok. I just want to see her again. 😞 We all do.
This is really good. The drums aren't too much but just enough to make it really powerful. The strings weren't overpowering either, the leads were just perfect and the ambiance of the rain also helps.
Powerful. I see what you meant with the drop and it worked well. Im making my game ost this week, wondering if i could ask for some tips at some point because you seem pretty good at making remixes that still sound like they could be in a game xD

The remix of this song is also perhaps the best one yet and made me tearful, its so beautiful I don't know what to say Thank you for this remix, and god bless the creators of this game. In difficult times like these it's important to have things that anchor you to your humanity, and your emotions. I will miss you, Niko
Subbed. This is amazing. I recently played through all of OneShot + Solstice and I know deep in my soul I will never, ever find an experience like it again. You truly captured the essence of Niko in this song.
Recently I’ve had a very cool thought. You ever noticed how Niko’s cat ears aren’t actually apart of her body? It’s actually apart of her hat. And if I’m right, if I recall. Her mother also has the same kind of hat. This gets to a serious thought... What if... that hat is actually a cultural hat, or maybe apart of a belief. That got me thinking even more! What is her species like? And is there billions of other cat people! Did they build city’s like us! Perhaps. Did they’re history follow ours, just different species. Or is there different races of cat people. Perhaps slight differences like skin colour? Or different hair colours. I want to see a game where we get to explore Niko’s world. Idk if it’s just me, but to me it feels like the OneShot fandom isn’t complete yet.
As you may notice in one of the cutscenes, Niko’s mom is actually a somewhat different color from Niko, which does support the possibility of different races. Then there’s also the fact that these people have computers, a sun like our own, and generally the same relative culture as us from the glimpse we get through questions. I wouldn’t be surprised if their world is very similar to ours, although large historical happenings (world wars, the space race, etc.) may have happened at different times, or not at all. I really love thinking about it. Maybe someday they will make an expansion of sorts, as I’d love to know more about Niko’s world as well.
Demonyck yeah I agree. My beliefs on it come very far. It would be so interesting to see how history would go out for them. Definitely would be a change seeing cat people kill each other medieval all the way too modern warfare 😬. But also just all of history. Like how they would also live. Seeing all different society’s. Cultures and races would be worth time to learn about. About.. Nikos world.
it`s an excellent work, but... I`m sure you will agree with me: no matter how long you don`t hear a original, any remixes, covers, even if they are perfect like yours, first thing that come to your mind will be "Original is better." It`s a amazing remix but original will always be on first place in our heart.
This is my favorite remix. I listened to it over and over again for an english project I was working on, and ended up doing amazing on that. You inspired me to start writing poetry and to get back into the game. thank you :)
At the beginning it is something repetitive and it seems that it will always be like that, but everything else in the song is very good! Greetings from Mexico (I used translator xd)
I was too late... I just knew Oneshot this year but, Its still so good, I think Oneshot is better than Undertale even though both games are similar to each other but different in some stuff. I love your Remix, Imma download it now
Honestly I’ve never really cared for Undertale. But OneShot is so much different because you feel really close to Niko. She’s the best character I’ve ever known.
Oh my god I love this so much. After a few listens im already addicted to it and how it gives off the kinda vibe and atmosphere befitting this melancholic game.. goosebumps and tearful, 11/10 of such a silly fun theme :')
Interstellar had amazing scientific premise and a wonderful concept. Amazing musical influence on feelings. Its story was very convoluted though. The ending was weird. Any other way though, I still did like it.

That feels trip tho... wasn't ready
I love the game I love the music of the game and I love the remix of the music
This is beautiful, thank you for making this. I really enjoyed it.
it`s an excellent work, but...
Broo you nailed it, you did really good about this man! It gave me chills holy goddamn niko man
Mood
At the beginning it is something repetitive and it seems that it will always be like that, but everything else in the song is very good!
Greetings from Mexico
(I used translator xd)
nice
I really like this
Didn’t expect fucking interstellar 2 wow
NOO I CANT DOWNLOAD IT
I was too late... I just knew Oneshot this year but, Its still so good, I think Oneshot is better than Undertale even though both games are similar to each other but different in some stuff. I love your Remix, Imma download it now
same here...

Download's broken, anyone got a high quality link?
Don't be sad of Niko's departure
Be glad of his return
Couldn't have said it better myself.
Almost reminds me interstellar
same :D
Interstellar had amazing scientific premise and a wonderful concept. Amazing musical influence on feelings. Its story was very convoluted though. The ending was weird. Any other way though, I still did like it.
Skybur dude you're in every OneShot vid, wow
Same, pretty reminds me interstellar soundtracks
Wow, nice music, nice visuals, great job! 👌
Mishiina Thanks a ton, glad to see you around!
Soon the construction site in my new home will be finished, then i'll be around much more! Also, we have a project planned right?
