Hi Andrea, when I learnt this exercise I was taught to step onto the foot frame end first then place my feet on the edge of the carriage and push out through the inner sides of my feet. Push out, and squeeze in... My Balance Body Allegro 2 Reformer has a wooden planform with grip tape on there, but I always place the blade of my feet (big toes pushing down) on the edges, to do the exercise... I have placed my feet further out (near the head rests) but prefer the longer extension where the carriage is closed and my legs are closer together at the start...
Mark, thank you so much for sharing your entry into this exercise which sounds appropriate for the Reformer you are using. Everything you say sounds spot on as well... I too like to keep myself together in this exercise and sometimes that means my foot doesn't go all the way to the shoulder block/headpiece area as you say. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences here with us and thank you for watching!! Cheers to you! xo
Love it...thanks Andrea! Great instruction!
Thanks so much Monique! It's a favorite/non-favorite of mine LOL
