Yes. That said, the gameplay mehanics with a gundamn are quite different than typical FPS. This game appears to have lock-on type aiming, so you don't need precise mouse movements. It's similar to how mechs are piloted in many games: close up melee and if you're shooting, you just need to wait for the lock-on and hit the button.
Consider the tutorial happen in a middle of a story I'd say yes. There's also an giant mech boss fight in the tutorial and many of enemy types in the practice range that aren't playable.
So just play a singleplayer mech game than? Why even say anything if its not constructive criticism 😂 Your comment is the equivalent to me seeing a new fps drop and say “Why not just make cod 🤦♂️”
Lock on mechanics makes the flashy movements of the agile mechs completely irrelevant. What the point of dodging if its still hits you. Game lacks depth. Melee vs melee is janky.
Also this isnt a fighting game its an arena hero shooter. Melee in this game works more like a triangle. Alysnes counters panther and welkin gets countered by panther and welkin can counter alysnes. Thats the melee triangle.
@@leessoon No it doesn't. The melee on this game is not a rock, paper, scissors. Alysnes doesn't counter Panther because both of them has shield that can parry each other and if both units attach their weapon clash and both gets stagger. It's a stalemate. The melee on this game is JANKY!

Yes there is an elimination team deathmatch mode, if you die, you out till next match
It does and trust me it's the most boring mode of all. The match takes like a quarter of how other game modes take.
My problem with this game is that it lacks the PvE that can keep it going indefinitely. AFAIK it's purely pvp.
The battle royale mode, Mashmak, is PVEVP and features AI enemies and boss fights.
Wtf dude, not every game has to make pve content, dota, cs2, and every pvp game don't have that, and still thriving

Fortnite's the only one out of that bunch that has FAIR monetization. Of course people play that, Epic isn't greedy.

Tbh PvP tends to have more depth than PvE
