I am on a Macbook pro and need to have both the youtube volume and my laptop volume all the way...but very clear! Thank you..I just subscribed and 'hit that bell'. We may see you soon as we are coming down to check out Namaste Lake Chapala in Ajijic, a community started by author/musician James Twyman.
II am a new subscriber. We stayed at Roca Azul this past winter and enjoyed our four months at the park. They have 30 amp electrical service, also new high speed wifi service fast enough for streaming and good water pressure. The manager speaks near perfect English and the staff are tops. We paid 4500 pecos per month. We will be returning this November to escape the Canadian winter. Keep up the great videos. Viva Mexico
I enjoy your vidieos. Your daily life at lakeside is interesting and informative. Keep up the great work,I appreciate your videos and the work and time you put in the videos.Dont let the internet trolls that spread negativity, where is their video contributions, don’t let them bother your work and don’t give them any recognition, that’s their goal! You have given me bits of great info and a lot or laughter. Thank you
I admire this man so much.. He is very knowledgeable about creating spaces and making things work.. It be nice if he could teach people down there some of the skills
Hi, Jerry, That's my husband's photo you see on this comment. My name is Ellen. I have just discovered your videos. I so appreciate your slow, logical and methodical progression of stories. I am hungry to learn anything current about Lake Chapalla, Ajijic, et. al. ... especially appreciate your most recent video about rent increases in the area, and how to mitigate that by moving farther out from Ajijic. My husband, Don, and myself plan to retire in about 3.5 years and we are seriously looking at this beautiful culture and climate. We currently live in Chandler, Arizona and had heard that Air B&B is driving up the cost of rentals in Ajijic area. So your video I mentioned came at a timely moment when are becoming concerned about the affordability of moving to the Lake Chapalla area. Thank you so much for that! Also, I really enjoy your everyday videos about various subjects of Mexican life. Especially when you are sitting in your yard, walking around, or in your home with the windows open. I get to hear the birds making wonderful sounds in the background - and it sounds like heaven. Thanks, again. Your New Fan Girl, Ellen Nakano
That sense of humor exist far and wide, and get's to other levels, no chip in the shoulder thou! so laugh , or turn your eyes to the sky and nod to the nutty and go on .... I would like to sugest a visit to MORELIA , mainly downtown that is the pink capitol of the world, .... The sound , well... not bad, since the engine was not noticeable, it was great, videos... keep'm coming . God Bless.
I love your videos JC, They’re very informative keep doing what you’re doing! you tell the stories and I will listen... you’re not only smart but humorous😁 I like that!🙋♀️
P.S. Ellen here, again... I also appreciate this video about the RV park. We are kicking around the idea of selling everything and traveling in an RV when we're ready to retire, and we've been curious about an RV park in the Lake Chapala area, too. Thank you, again, Jerry.
Thx for your relaxing and informative stories. Investigating retirement options for my future and considering the RV life in the USA and living part time in Mexico. You're the Man I need to follow!
Love all your videos...your information, your stories and your "wicked" sense of humor! Thanks so much for the info. on the two RV parks. I realize that one of them is new, but so far....Blue Rock has the most "curb appeal!" It appears to have more shade/trees/amenities, and a nice lake view, as well. Sounds like it costs a bit more...but maybe it's worth the price.
So very interesting. Very reasonable for living space with pool and hot springs. I like the way you tell us what’s on your mind, it keeps me coming back. 👍❤️🍀
The volume is excellent. We watch on a TV, sometimes on a computer monitor. I am pleased to know that there is an RV park in the area. Going to put this on my list of areas to visit.
Saludos desde Long Beach, CA. I've watch a couple of your videos and I really like them. I like your easy going way and all the great information you have to share. I have to admit that I'm jealous. While studying Spanish as my major in college in the '90s I spent about a year and a half in Mexico to perfect my language skills. I lived in Zapopan Jal, México DF, and Ciudad Victoria, Tamps. I met many wonderful people there and had great experiences. I'm in my late 40s married to an Salvadoran gal with a beautiful 1 year old daughter. We contemplate all the time moving to Mexico. I think I could rent out my house and live off the rent. I congratulate you on your move to Ajijic. Wish you all the best! David
+David Gardner ... You may be on to something if you home equity is high enough. Rent your Ca house and live south of the border on the rental income. Interesting idea.
Hello JC. When your coming out of the gates. My brother inlaw owns the first house on the left. Roka azul. This his weekend home . You failed to mention that that whole area is a river bed. If you didn´t know. That means his house and all the others around are sinking and falling apart. He said its 100 meters down until you get to Rockbed. Pretty sad a brand new house tiles cracking and he has reinforsed the walls around the property from falling. Constant earth tremers. Also the electric in that area is poor. But its a very nice peaseful place if you dont mind the damage from mother nature.
JC enjoy your trips that are not far from where you live. Cindy and have done a lot of RV parks growing up from tent to tent trailer, Frolic camper to many class A, 5 th wheels and might have forgotten a few over the years. Will be back in Hualtuco for September 1st with new grand daughter due by the 15. Photos to follow. Keep up the great job on questions asked from your subscribers.
Omg ! Thank you, thank you ! For all your wonderful videos, I just love it ! From Guadalajara, Jalisco and I had been en Chapala, Ajijic and San Juan Cosalá ! And love it
Volume and story telling is fine. Thanks for sharing yourself with us. I really enjoy your channel. I’ll be arriving in Ajijic on Wednesday. Soooo excited.
I guess you must be so good ... Kind of Steven Spielberg ! Living right at the CHAPALA Lake ! Video is excellent ! Sound is perfect ! A Chinese Móvil Phone !
Amazing video, very relaxing the combination of storytelling while watching the road from the perspective of the rider, I can't remember someone doing this, very enjoyable.
JC we visited there several years ago and rented a car so had the opportunity to drive to the park in JoJotopec. Stayed in a bed and breakfast on Constitution two blocks from the weekly market. Enjoy your vids.
Your timing is amazing! I emailed that RV park last week asking for more information but heard nothing back, so your video on it is great! Volume is fine, watching on a laptop.
Thanks. This is where we thought we'd go with our small RV for the summer months. It's a c-class so we'll have to pick up and drive it into town for shopping, etc....thanks for showing how far that park is from everything in perspective.
RedSpiralHand~You could always look for a small motorcycle or scooter to use going into town. And thanks to you is how I learned about that park. $250 a month to stay there AND they have a couple beautiful pools AND roughly 2.5 miles to town! A bargain to say the least! I'm wondering if they have cabins to rent out...no answer from my email inquiries :/
You can call a taxi to pick you up and return you to the park. The cost last winter was about 80 pecos each way. When we first arrived last November we would walk into town and take a taxis back but after a couple weeks we got pretty fit and would would walk both directions. Downtown took us about 45 minutes and is about 3.5 km. Get a good backpack and your good to go. We camped is a Class B motorhome.
Hi Jerry . What an interesting film! Thanks for taking the time and putting in the effort to create it. It was very informative. All the best from Florida.
Thank you! very informative. I was wondering about RV parks in Mexico. I have a small 18' trailer I want to tow while visiting Mexico. Thanks on the info on driving. I sure that left hand pull over to make a left turn was valuable.
Nice talk story drive to that RV park JC. My wife and I plan sell our house and retire in the Philippines because she owns the family farm 5 Hectares land , 2 small houses near a large rice paddy. It is very hot all year round. Last time I go there I had a Heat Stroke. My Doctor said when he did an MRI on me soon after my return. I'm not too happy about going there but just like Mexico everything cheap even use Peso's and most people speak English.
Well I'm going to try to write more effectively now that I know that you were the teacher who said that but please don't correct me, I'm too old for that. Thank you for the ride, you should take us on more rides it was nice seeing the small towns in Mexico, they are quaint and beautiful, great video you take care.
Your writing this morning is just fine. With the short cuts we all take in the quick communication of texting on the internet ... communicating effectively is more important that grammatical correctness. IMHO. :)
I enjoyed the Roca Azul Video FYI-your drive from Aijiic starts out with you heading east as the Lake is on your right. Obviously, the lake should be on your left if you are driving from Aijiic to Jocotopec
Found a cute little house for sale in Roca Azul from Points South Chapala Edition you recommended. This is the perfect video. Wondered what those raspberry "tents" were on google earth. Need to sell my home here first...
Going back through my comments this morning the reply I gave you is not here .... did you get it? Important ... Roca Azul has some earthquake fault ground shift problems and some of the properties are devalued because of foundation, structural problems. Do your due diligence. Sorry if this is a repeat..... don't know why the other reply dissapeared.
Thanks for doing the casual tour of that pleasant RV park. It seems to be just what I wouldbe looking for. Should I be concerned about contaminated water from the lake used in the pool?
Sounds good at the start. Watching by paring my iPhone to my tv 📺 Sound is a bit muffled inside the van at the beginning, then the volume goes up a fair amount (I just adjust my tv volume) 😆not a big deal. Most travel videos the viewer has to self adjust from my experience. 😃
Hi JC, I enjoy your videos, your pace, and your ability to put the trolls in their place with class. I have recently retired, am in the process of selling all and getting ready to find my niche in Mexico. I have lived outside the USA more than in it the last 30 or so years. I like the climate in your area, but I seek a more rural setting. Are there places available in the Lake Chapala region that are a bit more off the beaten track perhaps woods, jungle, rivers etc? My Spanish is good enough to get along with locals and I am a bit of a recluse. Keep up the good work!
+William King ... You should explore the south shore of Lake Chapala and some smaller towns up into El Tigre mountains. www.google.com/search?client=safari&hl=en-us&q=concepcion+de+buenos+aires&spell=1&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj78YL3_sHcAhVBR60KHdB_CuwQBQggKAA&biw=414&bih=622#dest_bgc=4285F4&dest_mid=/m/05s_9ln&fpstate=trfpi&tcfs=EisKCi9tLzA1c185bG4SG0NvbmNlcGNpw7NuIGRlIEJ1ZW5vcyBBaXJlcygJ&trifp=cxt%3Do%26t%3Do
The most accurate answer to, Where did I learn Spanish? .. is, I haven't. Its very easy to get by without Spanish here in Ajijic. Whatever Spanglish I have just comes from spending time with Mexican friends and workers. I am adequate in casual politeness in passing, fine at a restaurant and the gas station, pretty good at the hardware store, but not having a philosophical conversation with anyone in Spanish.
So I've definitely enjoyed these videos. Calming storytelling sir. You get sub and thumbs up! Lol. I wonder the price for small piece of property there.
Lots of local real estate companies have websites. Try this one .. www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwisk4rwlpPdAhURSq0KHZwgBiMQFjAAegQIBhAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.pointsouth.com.mx%2Fpoint-south-lake-chapala&usg=AOvVaw3awghjsPDJRwjj62bzfXiZ
Thanks for the information on RV Park in the area I'm planning on retiring to. You specified the rent to be about $250 per month, does that include water sewer cable and Electric. Also how is the cellular service in that area and do they Supply Wi-Fi
Thanks for the RV park tour, JC! We are looking to get a class A and head down that way, hopefully this year! In your opinion, would it be smarter to by a cheap get around town car before we cross the border, or once we are in Mexico? Thinking of a decent A to B car in the 1500 range, if in the US. We don't know if used cars sell often down there, and what shape they are typically in? I don't mean to ask you to do any heavy investigation into this, but if you happen to have an opinion on what country we Should pick up that little car, we would love to hear it! Thanks in advance! We love your videos! You and your wife singing in one of the last videos gave us each a huge smile! Hope to meet you guys one day! Much love- John and Liz :)
Used cars generally cost a little more in Mexico. Get one before you come. Also, if you're towing it, it will be less expensive and easier to find a tow bar and get it set up to be towed. Make sure you're both on both titles. One car per passport.
@@JCTravelStories thanks so much! So one car per passport, but we must both be on RV title? Is that even if I am driving the car across and then tow it once we are a little ways into Mexico? Thanks for the quick response!
+Diana Garcia ... I don’t think there is bus service because one comment below mentioned calling a cab and paying 80 pesos one way. The house prices might reflect some structural problems in the area. Read through comments below to the guy who’s brother owns a house there.
JC Travel Stories Thank you for all ur vedios!! I love them. You are such a beautiful person. Gracias may god bless you and ur wife. For sharing ur life in Mexico.
Oh man do I thank you for the tour of the RV park You really put it into perspective for me. The park looked like a nice place to live. How bad would it be to get a 40' fifth in and out of their. Your sound was just fine
Most concerned with routes thru Mexico. Depending on time of year I can be visiting from Mission tx. to Yuma Az.. I would like to hear your preferred route, or what you feel is easiest route for inexperienced fans. Thanks
Ed Mitiu ... Recommend by far come from Tx vs Az. Its over twice as far from Yuma as it is from Mission. Reynosa, Monterrey, Zacatecas on 54, Guadalajara, Chapala. There are by pass routes for Guad itself.
Hi, Mi esposa got me hooked on your videos by playing them all the time. We are in the formative stages of setting out on our journey to your beautiful location sometime in the next 1/2 year or the following winter. To your knowledge, is the Roca Azul the only reasonably acceptable RV park around Lago de Chapala? I saw there was an RV park on the norte end but in the city and comments said it was bare of árbols, which is not good. ~ Volume good, watching on a HP Probook laptop with Windows 10 ~
I just found out about a new park in Chapala. They have a website. trailerparkchapala.webnode.mx/ Have not been there to check it out, yet I'll be doing a video of it someday soon. :)
Please tell me how's the volume and what your watching on ... Phone, tablet, TV, Brain implant?
Volume is fine on this end. I am watching on a regular PC. enjoying your videos especially the last one.
Great I enjoy hearing you

Everything included as well as a small laundry facility with a washer and dryer if staying longer than a week.
I really enjoyed this video.

Roca Azul has some earthquake fault ground shift problems and some of the properties are devalued because of foundation, structural problems. Do your due diligence. Sorry if this is a repeat..... don't know why the other reply dissapeared.
On iPhone 6 Plus it was good and I never see you making Cane Asada that be great. O Barbecue 👍🏻
There are some things that are so good and so inexpensive in local restaurants that making them at home is a waste of time. :)
Volume is excellent. Watching on a Dell tower in an RV
Very nice and enjoyable video. Thank you for sharing. Is Jacotepec a decent city for Expats?
+auctionjjk ... Many expats do live in Joco.
Jerry nice videos, do you know of any trail runners near you that run in the mountain trails? Also how about swimming in Lake Chapala? Thank you.
Thanks for doing the casual tour of that pleasant RV park. It seems to be just what I wouldbe looking for. Should I be concerned about contaminated water from the lake used in the pool?
No.

I will definitely check it out, muchissima gracias!
we love your video. Thanks for sharing. Where did you learn Spanish?
The most accurate answer to, Where did I learn Spanish? .. is, I haven't. Its very easy to get by without Spanish here in Ajijic. Whatever Spanglish I have just comes from spending time with Mexican friends and workers. I am adequate in casual politeness in passing, fine at a restaurant and the gas station, pretty good at the hardware store, but not having a philosophical conversation with anyone in Spanish.
Hi JC, the volume on my Dell pc, is good. Say hi to Lynn.
So I've definitely enjoyed these videos. Calming storytelling sir. You get sub and thumbs up! Lol. I wonder the price for small piece of property there.
Well I'm sure area will depend on price. But it has to be cheaper I think than US.
Lots of local real estate companies have websites. Try this one .. www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwisk4rwlpPdAhURSq0KHZwgBiMQFjAAegQIBhAB&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.pointsouth.com.mx%2Fpoint-south-lake-chapala&usg=AOvVaw3awghjsPDJRwjj62bzfXiZ
I think ,you awesome !!
+Nicole V ... Thanks, Nicole!
Gnite from NYC !!!
Thanks for the information on RV Park in the area I'm planning on retiring to. You specified the rent to be about $250 per month, does that include water sewer cable and Electric. Also how is the cellular service in that area and do they Supply Wi-Fi
+Gio Giovanni ... 4500 pesos per month includes utilities. Cell service and WiFi are available.
I appreciate you taking the time to reply to my comment, I will definitely subscribe to your Channel, Carry On the good work.
Can u take a bus from rocca azul to jocotepec?? Wondering after lookimg at home prices. Rocca azul looks very beautiful.
Diana Garcia ... Thank you Diana! It is my great pleasure to share what I've found to be the true nature of Mexico.
Oh man do I thank you for the tour of the RV park You really put it into perspective for me. The park looked like a nice place to live. How bad would it be to get a 40' fifth in and out of their. Your sound was just fine
Tapestry of God ... 40 or bigger ... No problema.
You can visit new RV park chapala here the web site.

Never drive at night in Mx only use toll ways for safety
+Shaggy2016 Flores ... Very good advice! Cows and horses do not have tail lights.
Shaggy, thanks for the advice.
Neat tour! Thanks....and, volume is fine...iPad...and how much do they charge for a brain implant there?😂👍🌷🚍
+FR3 At Last ... About 10 pesos per IQ point. Nearly free for some.
JC Travel Stories Hahaaa...
Jocotepec, Ajijic. Right names
Does the RV Park rental fee include the utilities?

@@JCTravelStories Thanks. I will check that out too. :)
