Good luck on your game development journey friend, one tip that might annoy you but hopefully help you out: keep your expectations in check, ambition is a powerful tool but we small indiedevs also need to face reality, making an RPG is many indiedev' biggest dream, including me! But I have decided to focus on smaller, more feasible games first, to one day be able to make my dream game for passion, while the rest of my games hopefully generate some money. Having said that, I hope you can succeed. and remember that the most important thing is actually FINISHING the game! So whip out the most barebones version of your game possible, and send it out to playtester for feedback ASAP
Good advice, thanks! Currently, I don't expect much from the game dev, do i more like fun programming practice. But yeah, you are right that it is better to start with smaller things.
I guess it might be easier if you just follow tutorials. But I don't like this approach and prefer to learn by problem-solving. So to make a 2d game feels much easier to start with in this regard.
robin quest is my new favorite indie game:) 🐱
Should I make part 2? 😀
Congrats on 8 years! Very interesting to see your gamedev journey. Keep on the grind!
Thank you! I think i finally found my way to do it.

This is the first time I heard someone calling an RPG an easier game than FPS 😮
