    Your suggestion is right just start!! When I was new to bullet journaling I was nervous to do something wrong BUT the best part about the bullet journal system is it is unique to you and change as you do 🥰🥰 Love the videos!!

    I make my yearly spread a page I can pull out and washi tape into the second journal.

    After a year of trying different things, I am using a binder as a bullet journal. With a binder I can do what I want without being stuck to a notebook.

    I add a summary page of year long goals, so that I can do end of year reflection without having to go get the old journal too. I re-write the goals (a great chance to reevaluate as needed!) and also also a summary of totals (number of books read, changes in step tracking etc).

    I started my first bullet journal in march last year, right when covid hit and my school went into homeschooling. Back then I didn't have the system that works for me now so it was very messy but it certainly helped to start it when I needed it and not new years in the middle of the holidays.

      I started my first journal mid year too and the first few spreads were very messy too!! But since then I've loved exploring different ways to track what works for me 🥰🥰

    My advice is definitely to start setting up the journal sooner rather than later -- doing it slowly makes it less intimidating. So thinking about the spreads you want to use, then materials, then sketching it out, then inking/etc. Filling it in with any previous information can come in last

    Since I only plan my goals 12 weeks at a time, I like the idea of not doing year long trackers or spreads. I rarely stick to them anyway, so it would be less demotivating. Thanks for all the great ideas!

    I actually love those ideas! Their helpful in my opinion. Bullet journals are too expensive for me so I make my own out of paper, tape and my creative mind. I added in a new tracker which is weather. I live in a state where tornadoes are active and weather changes daily. So it messes with my mind. I track it to know what makes me feel weird. I also do a coffee tracker. (I drink way too much coffee!) I just create spreads that work for me and that will last a long time. I have mine from 4 years ago and it still looks like it was made this year.

    to keep tracking from one journal to the other, you can give a name to your bujo and write a reference in the new page to link to the last one ( for ex : on a new reading log page you can write BUJO2021A,P56 so you can go back to the last reading log page you wrote if needed, and at the end of the page, u can write the reference for the next page so that you build a thread for this king of pages).

    Personally i would recommend starting whenever, if it is in the first half of the year (Jan-Jun) do it and then no matter what start a new one after June for July-December. And if you start a bullet journal in the second half of the year (Jul-Dec) do it and no matter what start a new one after December for January

    I’m currently needing to do a second future log ect in the middle of my journal cos I’ve been using a lot less pages and so my future log wasn’t long enough. I think I’m going to washi tape the edge of the page to make finding it easier.

    What do you do with the remaining pages of your current bullet journal if you haven’t finished it but want to start a new one for the second half of the year? I hope that makes sense.

    • @JashiiCorrin
      @JashiiCorrin  3 года назад +1

      Makes perfect sense! I sometimes like to use them for in-depth mid-year reflections, trialling new layouts, planning the pages of my next journal, fun one-off collections like the results from personality quizzes, etc. 😊

    Excellent ideas, tips and suggestions as always. Thenk you ❤ But the question i need help with is A5 or B5 ?🤔🤔🤔🤔

    • @JashiiCorrin
      @JashiiCorrin  3 года назад +1

      Ooo good question. Which have you used previously? I’m more of a fan of A5 as it’s more transportable for me, but B5 certainly had the benefit of extra space 💪💜

    • @hannahofhorror
      @hannahofhorror 3 года назад +1

      I also might add (all my personal opinion!) that if you are blending two distinctive “calendars” (for example, a day job vs a side project or home business) into one layout, you *may* benefit from the extra space from a B5. However if you have a less busy/less variable week, or you have two distinctive “calendars” that you keep separate, A5 is plenty.
      I prefer A5, it’s always plenty for me. But also sometimes it’s worth trying one or the other, and it’s not until you start to use it that you realise what you would change to the next time picking out a journal.

    I can't decide if i want to jump now or July, June would fit and could even squeeze in all of July if I had to.

    • @JashiiCorrin
      @JashiiCorrin  3 года назад

      I find my journals comfortably fit 6 months which lets me have 2 per year starting in Jan and July. I *could* fit 7 months if I committed to it, but then I wouldn’t have those nice starting months 😛 how many months has this one lasted you so far?

    • @melanie98d
      @melanie98d 3 года назад

      @@JashiiCorrin Last year I fit 6 months in 2 journals nicely. This year I have all this extra room at this point in the year. i guess it will be different when June wraps up though, time will tell. I thought I was using my journal more this year but if the pages left indicate, maybe not lol

    I left a few empty pages in my last journal and am starting one from my birthday to my next birthday. A new year for me.
    Do people have fun birthday related ideas?

    • @createwithcait
      @createwithcait 3 года назад

      That is smart doing it from a birthday to birthday!! You could always do the classic # of things to do before you turn # BUT in the past I've done a page for doodling memories and reflecting on the day (in the end all the doodles are layered and it looks really cool!!)

    • @JashiiCorrin
