11 November 2021, a day that shall remain in our hearts forever. It was raining cats and dogs, an unprecedented rain that Tirupati had ever witnessed! The trees were down & main roads were submerged into knee-to-waist-deep water! It was a great challenge for us to bring the artistes to the venue! People were left stranded, there was no power supply. Given the situation, it was next to impossible to even think of conducting the programme. It was completely out of our control! There was only one prayer from all of us & I hope it needs no citation. Trust me, no miracle happened but what we witnessed that day was more than a miracle and taught us many lessons. Vidushi Smt. Manda Sudharani garu's conviction to perform and support us was second to none and it boosted our morale and the accompanists never had a doubt! She qoutes "If there's power and an audience to listen to me, I will be more than happy to perform." How often do we get an opportunity to hear such statements from stalwarts?! On the other hand we saw a great leader par excellence who was, is and shall forever be our pillar of strength Late Sri Prof. V Muralidhara Sharma garu, the then Vice Chancellor of National Sanskrit University, Tirupati who stood with us and gave us bundle of energy and supported us like none. He issued orders to provide power backup to the entire auditorium and made sure that the event took place uninterruptedly. He stayed with us till the very last minute. Hats off to that great soul! Great things do not happen, great people make it happen! The concert was nonpareil and to say it is no exaggeration! The captured few photos stand as a testimony.
