Because the music industry is even worst than hollywood in that particular situation, we all heard that one thing a lot of artists had to do to become famous is sleep with someone of higher power and reach in the industry, sex is a tool there and i can't imagine how many times it's been used to take advantage of musicians and artists, there's a lot of things that touch the subject and perpetuate it, and it's a system so it's huge. It happened to Kesha, it happened to Gaga, Lana spoke about it, Azealia Banks spoke about it, it's sad. I know not all are "abuse" situations but the very thing is still sex rooted and toxic-unhealthy-power related.
Diana Muller Thies - She explains in an interview that she's been with many men in the industry, but none of them helped her sign a label. She wrote "Fucked My Way Up To The Top" as kind of a big 'fuck you' to the haters assuming she slept her way to stardom. But it is far from the truth. She got to where she is through lots of hard work, dedication, and passion.
