Wow. Wow. This was so cool to hear these guys again. I remember the premiere of The Mark & Brian Show in Los Angeles on September 8, 1987 vividly. I was 21 years old working Security Guard on the Graveyard shift that ended at 6:00AM which was the start of their show. I was bummed that they replaced Frazier “The Fraze” Smith and thought they were just a couple of weirdos but listened to them on the drive home. For the next 25 years these guys became a staple of Southern California pop culture. You’d hear them passing by a construction site, in a liquor store, you could be at a red light and hear them from the car next to you and look over at a stranger laughing as hard as you were. M&B were an extended family much like Johnny Carson was when we grew up as kids. This was truly a treat and an awesome blast from the past!
I remember their first show. Was just starting high school. So was able to listen to part before school started every day.
Yeah, and aren't they great as a quad? Hey the Mark, Brian, Heidi and Frank Show! Hell yeah, I'd listen to that!!
Well put!!
My favorite radio show of all time. It has definitely not been the same since they retired. “BE GOOD HUMAN’s”
Did you see that Brian is going to have a Be Good Humans podcast? Google it - He was on Frank Sontag's podcast. I just finished listening to it - and crying. I love Brian so much and miss M&B,
So this is three years old here and I just now found it doing a Mark and Brian search. I had warm and fuzzy feeling. I listened to these guys every morning and never had a single show where I went “well that sucked.” I am so glad you guys are enjoying your retirement because I’m retired now and I totally get it.
I used to listen to M&B walking every morning to high school on my CD/radio walkman for four years and all thru college. These guys always made mornings great.
I hope these guys do another reunion show. I listened to them every single day of my 32 years in California and they truly brightened many a day for me. Miss them
Marks Laugh and Brian's quick wit always made my mornings awesome. Iconic.... Thanks Frosty, Heidi and KLOS for a last great 25 minutes.
These guys were such a big part of my childhood. Getting ready for middle school and high school listening to their radio show every morning back when they were located in Birmingham. I hated it when they left, but they were destined for something bigger.
I listened to these guys when I was growing up in Birmingham, Alabama. When they left in 1987, I was sad because my mornings weren't gonna be the same but happy for them because I knew they were gonna be really popular in LA and sure enough they were.
Wow. Mark and Brian. Miss them on the radio...glad to hear them again...
I miss waking up every morning to the Mark and Brian show
There are decent and even really good morning shows out there. None compare to what Mark and Brian were. I love hearing their voices again. I'll admit, I was one that stopped listening to KLOS after they retired, then I moved away from California. I'm glad Heidi and Frank ended up doing well
I miss them so...
I was one of the "original listeners" and had the privilege of calling in twice, and to be put on the air both times. I remember Brian calling me "Shell", I was absolutely star struck.
Also went to see The Torries and my local fair, and Mark and Brian opened for them. Got to meet them in person. They are just naturally goofy 😋
They are so missed.
I wish them only the best! I can't name all my favorite bits, cutcha guy was definitely up there. And hearing Mark laughing in the background made it all more funny!
Lovin you guys
Be good humans
Frosty, Heidi, & Frank really, really, REALLY make me miss Mark & Brian.
Hey Mark and Brian I miss you guys and 95.5 KLOS I remember many years ago getting on the air with your station manager and winning tickets to see David Bowie at The Shrine Auditorium it was one hell of a show and one hell of a drive to get there because of the rain I hope to see you guys more again you're totally awesome man. This is coming from Regen
I once saw Mark in Santa Clarita. To be exact it was at the Shell gas station on Lyons Ave near the 5 freeway in Newhall. I pull up and see his face and immediately I say to myself, "That's Mark Thompson from the Mark & Brian Show." I didn't say any dumb fan comments. He saw me and just smiled. That was good for me. I saw one half of the best radio morning show in the past 35 years. The Mark and Brian Show on 95.5 KLOS-Los Ángeles!
He lived in that area pretty much when he moved to California.
As a Southern California native/resident I always wondered about his commute to and from the studio
I love & miss those geezers so much! I hope y'all at KLOS are going to upload their show to RUclips later, if you can. When they finished, I was so happy and yet so sad. Lots of laughs, lots of weepy moments. Thank you for having them on! And I bet they'd do a daily show again if they could be on from 3-7pm, so get to work on that, eh?
Do something like this once a month or something, in the afternoons. You still have a HUGE following here in So Cal. and it is still funny as hell hearing it again. I had to pull over coming home from work and just starred at the radio in disbelief as to what I was hearing. Today was a great day in Southern California. Cheers!
I used to listen to M & B on 100.7 KQBZ-FM 'The Buzz' Seattle back in 1999-2003. I was bummed when The Buzz dropped them. The station switched from talk to country (100.7 The Wolf) on November 30, 2005.
Totally Cool !! Mark & Brian... omg!! You guys always made the morning drive funny. Such great radio skits and you'd never know what to expect every morning on KLOS thanks to Mark & Brian.
Mark and Brian first to the last show u guys on the radio every morning on my way to work thank you Miss you love u KLOS ROCKS peace
Still remember the Northridge quake when Brian showed up early reporting all that was going on. Mark was still on the road, called in and told of broken gas lines on fire. The news wasn't on yet so they were my source of info down in San Diego.
When the hell are we gonna get a Mark & Brian biopic? That would be a fun movie. Great to see these old farts back together.
So glad I saw this. Having been a long time listener to and fan of the Mark And Brian show, I was a bit bummed out when soon after their having left the show, Mark had kinda given an FU to the M&B faithful in a recorded video. Sounded like he'd completely had it with that gig and wanted out. That said, this 'reunion' of sorts certainly exposes a genuine respectful friendship that apparently continues to exist between these two top notch radio personalities. The Mark & Brian show, RIP!
Mark and Brian made radio history. 2 morning show legends. I was so excited when they got a street named after them in Santa Ana Ca. Mark and Brian Express way. And seeing Mark on Reba show. LOVE YOU! The Fabio bit is classic .
I grew up listening to these guys up to high school and I listened to them exchanging to Heidi and frank
Mark and Brian...where do I start? They started on the air at KLOS at almost the exact date when my wife (then girlfriend) and I moved to L.A. and we all went through the '87 Whittier earthquake together that morning; all transplants who didn't know WHAT in the hell was going on!!. My wife and I then got married live on the air at the Culver City KLOS/KABC studios as part of their "Mega-Marriage" and we're still married.
Then, they gave me the dream-come-true opportunity in 1991 to not only meet my favorite rock band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, but I also got the chance to come into the studio with my guitar and play "Sweet Home Alabama" live on the radio with the guys from Skynyrd. What an honor and privilege! And I've got countless other memories from their show, like getting introduced to the incredible music of the late-great Kevin Gilbert who they were also big fans of and did their part in promoting him and his music.
I don't know if they'll ever read this, but I owe them a big thank you for helping to make each weekday morning a little better and for giving me and my wife some incredible memories that we will always cherish.
Hootie-Hoo!
Mark & Brain, listened to the show everyday for years, so sad they left LA. Greatest days of my life listening with my kids
I was listening when Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham did Landslide on Mark and Brian. Goosebumps. It was that good.
You guys have ALOT of class. I love them, as well as YOU. VERY NICE SHOW!! I THANK YOU.
Also loved their T.V. show, "The adventures of Mark and Brian".
Not to many remember that...
What a cool segment! I literally grew up listening to Mark and Brian but also FHF because their show picked up right after M&B wrapped. So cool to see them all in one room (minus Frosty). Brought back a lot of memories.
Nope. When mark and Brian left. I left....I hope they do a show on cable. I’ll watch. Radio sucks now.
You can't do comedy now, because you are threading a needle with the PC culture. They left at the right time. Stern's show is horrible now. He's stayed too long and has become a cliche.
Thank you for bringing them back they made me laugh daily and was mad when I missed a show, love their trips to Portland, they were the best !! Any talk about them being inducted in the HOF like they talked about before they retired ?? Are you kidding enjoy, the retirement !! And I am sure that Brian never got hitched, would love to know !!!
I grew up listening to Mark and Brian 👍🏽
I was one of the original M&B listeners. I was used to frazer Smith and Rita wild playing music. When M&B came on it was history in the making. My day was surrounded by their early morning show. I was lucky enough to have a job that I worked driving all day so I could just enjoy M&B. With all their amazing guest, introducing new artists, sketches it was iconic. When they laughed I laughed. When they cried I cried. It was the best years of early morning I lived through. I was their audience. Thank you M&B and KLOS.
Mark and Brian the best,, hour commute was the best because of you , weathered 911 with you guys
I miss these guys so much... Spring 93 through fall 2013 on KGON Portland
yep listened from day one to the final show.......... miss them........
radio has NEVER been thew same. MARK n BRIAN, the rack and the package
m&b and fhf are the only reasons why i listen to radio
Man I love these guys, so nice to hear, Mark's podcast is really cool too!
I used to listen to Mark & Brian in 1995-96 while I rode the bus to work. They were so funny that there were times when I'd be laughing on the bus with my headphones on thinking people saw me spazzing out. There was so much fun stuff they did. The pranks like Let the Wet Dog In and others where people would call in and the prank would be on the air and the prank victim would be given the mic for their comments. The funny song parodies like Girlfriend had a Weiner (Funky Cold Medina). I actually did that parody for karaoke and random girls would come up to me and tell me they loved it. Brian's "Birdy-bird" was hilarious. The Elfis (Elvis) skit around the holidays was also funny. The parody of Fabio was great too. Brian had the accent down! Mark had the best laugh! So many funny moments I miss those guys.
Currently living in Washington, SO EXCITED to find this gem of a channel!! Ive been wondering how these two are doing, they both look great! Lovin you guys!💖
Thank you everyone for this show. I appreciate you. Spent all 25 years with M&B. Felt like extended family. Its great to see them together. Great memories.....
Good to hear there voices again
I loved watching Sammi. Sitting there with a huge smile. Listening. Taking pictures. Lisa, on the other hand, was being Lisa.
Omygosh, I miss these days . 😢
Wow that brings me back!
Love all you guys.
Miss you both. Good times.
They used to come to my business at the Galleria in Birmingham......( Boardwalk ) ......sad to see them go, but they hit the big time.....😂
I love these guys
I still have three "TOO HIP" Stickers...Great Show... KLOS is still the best....

M&B! Iconic voices.
straight Legends
Awww I miss them so much!!!!
great to hear the boys! who was Mark flipping off at the end of the segment?
Be good humans!
Nicely done.....good job all
use to listen to the guys on my way to school every morning as a little kid
I remember this one. Badass
Still got it you guys!
Thank you for posting this. April 25th was my Fathers Birthday. He would have been 117 years old . Yikes.
God,I miss M&B! But,,love Heidi and Frank!😊
Just in case you people don't know Mark and Brian are the original Seinfeld back in the day before Seinfeld they're just funny for just being funny not a lot of jokes just being funny like the episodes of Seinfeld just couple people talking
Glad to see that Heidi and Frank are back on Dish Nation. I heard they both recently underwent surgery.
Smile!
Why am I the only one that heard Marks post telling listeners "to get over it, the show is done."
Grew up with these guys. Legends.
Mark’s chair wasn’t there because he wasn’t even there. He was in another state for the last three years of their show.
thumbs up for the Tito-Nicks Story
Nice
I found klos IN 1983 I was one of many listener #1's and i only stopped listening when i moved out of broadcast range.
these guys used to be on ksjo. they was hard.. then we got some lames bob and tom.. salinas area misses u
Mark works off and on. Has worked at a couple radio stations temporarily, but Brian has become the invisible man. Google him and his last mention was a couple years ago...
Whats the opening song?!
The rumor I heard was that Howard Stern ran these guys off the air among other great people on the radio around the country.
this is exactly how i expected them to look lmao
Who did Mark flip off at the end of the show?
Does anyone know the name of the song they start the show with?
This is the original M&B Show theme song which is based on the Sergio Mendes & Brasil 66 classic "Mas Que Nada" ruclips.net/video/F_4DM-E3ebg/видео.html
I wanted to hear more Brian,
Mark on the sound went straight to HELL
Trying find skid where Brian owes Mark money. When Mark comes home and asked his wife did Brian drop off his money.
It is SO WEIRD hearing those voices again! By the way - YOU CAN'T WIN!
My mornings have never been the same when they stopped.
They were the best!!!!
She drives me nuts... tone it down...
These guys really make you appreciate Steve Jones.
Argar larger..
Next time Mark and Brian, tell everybody that Catfish and CeeTee ran you out of Birmingham! FYI from Kicks106.9!
Is Brian still racist toward Asians? I really don't expect him to change.
I forgot how annoying Heidi is. Can’t believe they are still on the air
Mark & Brainless
This is a great example of why they retired.
Yep....the similarities go further than the hair color...One is gay and one is not.
Hate the Heidi and Frank show!
Heidi's laugh sounds like the witch from Wizard of Oz. She also laughs at EVERYTHING!!! Just to make it seem funny when it is not!!!
Sure do miss Mark and Brian!!!
Are they doing a podcast or anything?
That Heidi person has the most fake laugh! There's nothing genuine about it!!
These people Heidi and Frank. A big fat disappointment. Not actual comedians. I gave up on KLOS.
Fhf show really is not good. Heidi is noise.
Heidi & Frank was the worst idea ever on KLOS.
Still waiting for the funny
Boy morning FM radio talk is so annoying #kroq
Mark was never funny, Brian was the best one.
