I do not understand what $unwind did at all from this video. It looked like it didn't do anything aside from just show you one name from the array, and it wasn't even the name specified in the previous stage. I know I'm missing something because it seems like that step did absolutely nothing.

I guess what unwind is doing is "flattening" so creating a single document per each item of the array with each array value
