I’ll concede to Trilogy of Jenny and Screech as your next Ren reaction. Prepare for everything you hear from Ren to be different from the last song, but expect to find what you pointed out about Ren in every song.
I'll give you the same tip I give to other reactors. DON'T react to "Violet's Tale" as a standalone video. Although it's available by itself, it's actually the 3rd part of a trilogy, so watching it first kind of kills the flow. The trilogy of "Jenny's Tale", "Screech's Tale" and "Violet's Tale" is put together as a single video - "The Tale of Jenny & Screech (Full)". If you're having an issue with mental breakdowns, Ren can rip you apart talking about depression and tragedy. The song "Suic!de" will leave you curled in a ball ugly crying talking about his lows during his illness and the loss of a childhood friend who took his own life. If you need a pick-me-up, try "Losing It", "What You Want", "Power" or any of his busking videos with Sam Tompkins or the band The Big Push.
Couldn't agree more. You have to watch Jenny and Screech, then Violet otherwise you're missing out. When Suicide came out I experienced it and really felt the emotion. Having lost a friend to Suicide it hit hard and had me in tears by the end. Ren is so unique and a true artist.
People who feel music deeply always have a hard time explaining what exactly they just saw when seeing their first few Ren videos. I consider it a positive. Ren is the artist you never knew you needed in your life. Great reaction!!!!!!

I loved your reaction! Ren does have an other worldly quality that's charismatic, but so much more. His songs Depression, Insomnia, and Crutch are peeks into some of the deeper parts of his suffering; they don't really punch back at it because he was just in that place at the time. Heretic, Ready for You, Hold On, Patience, It's Alright, and Humble all allude to his suffering, but also have light. Power is a rap song that talks about some of his past, but with a fun vibe. There are so many more, many listed below. I love Bongo Bong by The Big Push for a fun vibe, and I love Ocean for that reason as well.

Another great one I am becoming obsessed with ren talk about an artist on a different level so good. I feel like this is an amazing outlet for his recovery because for me having chronic pain and illnesses along psychology problems his music speaks so much to the struggle, very therapeutic.

You nailed it. I was misdiagnosed and tortured for decades before finally getting diagnosed with long term Lyme and all that comes with it. We have to figure it out on our own WHILE DYING!!! No medical help. Sent to therapy. Then find out it was organic! I was sick all my life. Suddenly I know my sudden epilepsy at 15 was probably Lyme related. So many misdiagnoses. Medical abuse and PTSD. Family leaves you for dead. Tells others that you aren't really sick, and can be easily cured if I would just see a regular doctor and take an antibiotic. THEY WON'T LISTEN TO ME TELLING THEM HOW MANY DOCTORS I HAVE SEEN AND HOW MUCH WE HAVE SPENT TO TRY TO GET BETTER. My family acts like they have done a good deed by walking away in 2017 when I was bed ridden. As IF by writing me off, I will stop acting. I mean.... MILLIONS OF US ARE SUFFERING WITH LYME RIGHT NOW. I and about 450000 other US veterans, as well as scores of allied troops, have been suffering from Chronic Multisymptom Illness (Gulf War Illness) since the early 1990s. For over a decade, the government told us that it is all in our heads or PTSD. All the while they knew of our exposure to Sarin Nerve Gas and hid it from us. Money Game part 1 is like a mini movie, Power, his new song Suicide, Genesis is another brilliant song but you can't go wrong with any of his work, he is a flipping gem, made me believe music is still alive in this day and age, love Ren!!
Ren has a way with words. If you want more bardic story telling The Tale of Jenny and Screech Fully Version is great. If you want to find out more about Ren Power is a good one. If you want to see him Rapping Genesis is a good one. If you want to see Ren just having fun Losing it is so good. You really can't go wrong with him though.

Money Game (live) and Money Game 2 lyric video are amazing! So insightful... (waiting impatiently for Money Game 3... coming soon...), Ren and Chinchilla Chalk Outlines (live), and if you want your heart strings plucked hard, check out How to be Me (live) Also with Chinchilla and Crutch ft Bibi He is one of the only artists who is willing to be vulnerable in front of his audience. He is also able to paint full worlds and adventures with his mouth and a guitar and Sam on the camera lol He's not afraid to bring light to the most uncomfortable subjects and give invisible sufferers and those with unseen chronic illness a big beautiful voice. A voice to remind the world that we are here. We may be broken and bruised, but so is the world and who else is going to fix it if we don't fix it ourselves. I'm painfully disabled and agoraphobic (among too many other things, this is already too long and few will read it through lol) and Ren's music and life story and pure artistry weaves a carpet that may not fly for real, but it sure gives me a lift and hope for a better world and ppl someday. For my son. He's almost 29 and survived leukemia in 2021. Now he battles the family inherited curse (chronic depression, anxiety, hms) on top of aftereffects of chemo like fibromyalgia, migraines, increased depression and anxiety... his list goes on too long as well. I've been trying to get him to listen to Ren for a while now. What he's heard, he loves. Gotta make the whole world hear him. ❤
Once you have been hurt & abused in every way a human can be. Once shrinks have tried to institutionalize you for being too angry due to how the world is. Once the shrinks have tried to lock you up because you completely turned off your emotions to the world around you. When it take 5 years, seeing specialist after specialist only find out you have an incurable disease with no treatment options due to it's rarity. Knowing that the amazing life you finally clawed out of the world will be cut short and you will be in constant pain for the rest of your life; you have to figure out how to survive. If you turn the pain into anger, you will end up hurting yourself and even worse, those who care about you the most. You have to turn pain into laughter; but it cannot be nihilistic or you are not long for the world. Or if you have a gift, perhaps channel it to help others while you are still able. I hope that helps everyone understand a little more completely :)
If you do the trilogy (Tale of Jenny and Screech full) just don't sit near the KelTech.... you might want to shoot something after. Dark but powerful. Lighter side is Loosing It or Genesis.

Ren has a lot of deep songs that everyone is recommending, and I don't disagree with them. They're great songs. That said, Ren also has a lighter side as well. He is one of the only artists who is willing to be vulnerable in front of his audience. He is also able to paint full worlds and adventures with his mouth and a guitar and Sam on the camera lol
He's not afraid to bring light to the most uncomfortable subjects and give invisible sufferers and those with unseen chronic illness a big beautiful voice. A voice to remind the world that we are here. We may be broken and bruised, but so is the world and who else is going to fix it if we don't fix it ourselves.
I'm painfully disabled and agoraphobic (among too many other things, this is already too long and few will read it through lol) and Ren's music and life story and pure artistry weaves a carpet that may not fly for real, but it sure gives me a lift and hope for a better world and ppl someday. For my son. He's almost 29 and survived leukemia in 2021. Now he battles the family inherited curse (chronic depression, anxiety, hms) on top of aftereffects of chemo like fibromyalgia, migraines, increased depression and anxiety... his list goes on too long as well. I've been trying to get him to listen to Ren for a while now. What he's heard, he loves.

Once shrinks have tried to institutionalize you for being too angry due to how the world is.
Once the shrinks have tried to lock you up because you completely turned off your emotions to the world around you.
When it take 5 years, seeing specialist after specialist only find out you have an incurable disease with no treatment options due to it's rarity.
Knowing that the amazing life you finally clawed out of the world will be cut short and you will be in constant pain for the rest of your life; you have to figure out how to survive.
If you turn the pain into anger, you will end up hurting yourself and even worse, those who care about you the most.
You have to turn pain into laughter; but it cannot be nihilistic or you are not long for the world.
Or if you have a gift, perhaps channel it to help others while you are still able.
I hope that helps everyone understand a little more completely :)

Ren has a lot of deep songs that everyone is recommending, and I don't disagree with them. They're great songs. That said, Ren also has a lighter side as well.
