Yes no doubt, that made me tear up, having lost the love of my 18 months ago, and my Dog 11 months ago, but I did get my 5th rescue dog a few months after losing my last fella, I hope they will all be there to greet me when my time comes.

Max, your discomfort over the relationship questions only endears you to us more. What a gentleman you are.. kind, honest, altruistic. This is why we all care about you. 💛
Anyone working in EMS/Pre and Post emergency room, I think, develops some form of PTSD. I worked the ER/EMS for 22 years as well as ICU and the Recovery Room as an RN. I am retired now but there are still images and events I will take with me to my grave. People don’t realize how much you give of yourself to be able to take care of others. Truly a labor of love. Would I do it over again? Absolutely!
Retired nurse here too with a very similar work history. There are patients I still carry in my heart that I vividly remember. You know you can't save everyone , but that doesn't stop you from wishing you could. I loved what I did and would do it again, as well. Loved working with the police, EMT'S and Paramedics whose actions in the field gave life back to so many.
Max. This episode was so heart warming and so.. healing in a way i wasn't expecting. I followed you and Lee, and her passing was so hard even for me as just a viewer. Listening to what you say, how you have grown and tackle life is so comforting, vitalising and hopeful. So many wise answers to tough questions, i strongly believe that you are where you are supposed to be, and i hope you and Occy will have several more years with each other still. By the way, the place you filmed this in, that is a place where i see you build your home. Bless you Max, you are such an inspiration and a person with a golden heart.

OMGosh Max you and Occy are just too beyond sweet and we wish the best for you always. Pray for us building our off-grid forever retirement home. It's been a long long cold winter, after a long long time working.
This was the best Q&A I have ever watched! So authentic. I try to live by the saying "Life is what happens when you are making other plans." It is so true. There is only so much in life we can control, and I feel like you have learned to embrace that. We have two mini Aussies, they are the best dogs. Occy seems so calm for an Aussie, was he crazy as a puppy? Loved the puppy videos. Thanks for making Sundays just a little better with your videos, love the scenery and the gentle pace of the videos.

Really great video Max. Your genuineness and kindness comes through in every video, and that's why people are keen to follow you, not because of a thumbnail. How lucky those people are that get to have you in their lives and call you friend.
Stick with dogs. I'm 65 and never wanted kids. I wanted dogs. I'm now retired from 40+ years of grooming and showing my breed, Giant Schnauzers. I also had Arabian horses, cats and 167 chickens, geese, guineas, turkey, ducks and a Blue & Gold macaw. I lost my wonderful husband to ALS in the first Covid lockdown in April 2020. It was horribly devastating. I lost everything and had to start over. I got a used 34' motorhome. Ripped everything out. Redid it so my 4 dogs and cat could move in full time. We lived in it for 2 years until I bought a 16' x 40' shed to build into my tiny cabin, which I currently live in. It's not finished inside at all, lol. I have cedar on the walls and bead board but ceiling isn't done. Kitchen not built. I have toilet and vanity plumbed in so have running water inside and out. I'll get it done eventually. I sold my rig and bought a 20' 4 window short skoolie too. I'll finish her out then I'm traveling again.
Hi Max, Just discovered your videos as i am sitting at home after shoulder surgery stuck on the couch so you are helping to keep the boredom at bay so thankyou. You are living my dream life on your farm and you are inspiring me to live my dream at 51 yrs old so thanks. If you ever need any welding or metal fabrication on the farm i would be happy to help.
You will never regret all the extra time you're spending with Occy. The pandemic and converting to a work from home setup allowed me to spend my two cats' golden years with them and it was such a special time. They're gone now, but I have so many extra memories that I wouldn't have had otherwise. Of course I wish there wasn't a pandemic, but when there's opportunity to take some good with the bad, take all the good you can get. Also, even though the Occster doesn't like cats I still think he's swell. :)
Wow Max that was soo big and soo personal, I feel like we are really prying into your personnel space - sorry but i still watched to the end. As for your video titles - does anyone really take any notice of what they say.........I don;t, just enjoy watching what you are doing and where you are going! Good luck with finding you dream parcel of land but please don't stop what you are doing! Cheers Max & Occy

Thanks for being so honest Max, I only came to this channel in the summer (UK) when you visited the Vanwives so had no idea what you've been through. Personally, I have been dealing with depression for 15 years ( since being diagnosed so probably much longer), getting out in nature when I can really helps my state of mind, and if this comment helps even one person to deal with one day a little easier I'll be happy. (and I've never mentioned my depression on the internet before so Thank You!!)
@@MaxandOccy and @Kev Parker Your showing strength that is in both of your Beings through your honesty and bravery in sharing real matters over your mental health. SO hugely ecstatic for your good self and Occy and the nature too, all will gain much, benefits all round, from the presences in your new home. Glad Kev you spend time with nature too. Thank you all, and may many blessings be so and continue to grow in and around you.
Thanks Max and Occy! ❤️ I love this whole video! And the greatest laugh came when you asked Occy if he was going to help you out and then the shot of him belly up rolling in the grass 😂 dogs!... Happy to hear all of this that you shared and thanks for your authenticity Max. And your clear mind and open heart. It's a great idea (if you haven't already done so), to write down the things you really want of your home and land adventure so that all those things are clearly defined. Then fold it up and tuck it somewhere special to you. And then just open to allow it to come to you. Never be like a dog with a bone about your wishes and dreams for that clingy energy keeps those things away. Follow your small still voice always and your going to be just fine. So much love to you and Occy. ❤️😘
WOW thanks for sharing. You did so well answering all those personal questions. I suppose that folk think because you are in our homes, so to speak. People regard you as a personal friend. I am thrilled that you are happy and living your life to the fullest. PS I forgot to say…Hello from jane ❤
Max, I have been watching your content since before covid came along. What I love about your channel is its real/raw and authentic. The reality of the mental health issues you address have given me a lot of insight in dealing with my son. You have come a long way, keep up the positive!!
Glad I found your channel a good year or so before Lee's passing. Loved the content you two made and the content you've made after, sharing pain openly is both humiliating and humbling.

I had to medically retire from being an EMT and I thought my world was over, I hit such a depression. I loved doing it I very rarely felt like I was working.
I love how easy you can talk about Lee now. She was such a gem, such a beautiful soul in this world. She tried so hard to highlight mental illness and the benefits of getting help. She was so honest about the ups and downs she went through. I was happy watching you two together on your channel, and I was happy watching you two continue to grown and change on your own channels. I think I will never stop feeling rage at the cyberbullying that went on towards Lee. Her death hit me hard, as I know it did for you and her loved ones. Rearlly nice Q&A. Thank you for being so honest and open. Definitely was no obligation to do so but it was nice to hear.

Thanks for giving us an update on your beautiful, relaxing life. Prayers that your dreams of finding the perfect, peaceful land to purchase are soon fulfilled. Love you and Occy so much. You are such a kind soul. ❤
💛💛💛
Max, Your Q &A was brilliant! You are so real and forthcoming to share your life with us.Occy is one of the most beautiful, well-mannered dogs I've ever seen. The very best to you and Occy. Be safe in your journey. Much love.
You are a light in this world, Max!! I miss Lee 🥺
OMGosh Max you and Occy are just too beyond sweet and we wish the best for you always. Pray for us building our off-grid forever retirement home. It's been a long long cold winter, after a long long time working.
Yep, Occy is smiles and sweetness and fluffy love! 🤗🐶🐾😘 thanks for the Q&A Max. 👍🏻🚐
Child free by choice (it’s great), late 40s and I’ve just taken an adult gap year to travel. It’s been awesome.
Love that Lynn!! And love Aussies in all sizes 😂. Occy was actually always pretty calm for an Aussie! 💛
yes, please don’t cave to that click bait crap. It turns me away. Your content is great and that’s why I keep returning. Good job on the Q&A!
Thank you for making my Sunday great! I love Eamon and Bec and Van Wives, too, so Sunday afternoons are relaxing.
Your authenticity is all I need...You are a treasure❤
Thanks for a great video! So happy to get a life update. Please give Occy a huge hug from Canada!!! xoxoxoxo
TWO WORDS.....ALBY MANGELS!!!!!! MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE SHOW GROWING UP AND IM FROM THE STATES!!!!!! YOU REALLY REMIND ME OF A YOUNG ALBY AND HAVE REALLY TAKEN YOUR JOURNEY INTO THE CURRENT WORLD AS IT IS TODAY!!! LUVYA BRO... LOOKING FORWARD TO ALL YOUR FUTURE ENDEAVOURS 👍❤️👍❤️👍🌊🌊👍
Love my Sunday mornings with coffee and a new Max & Occy vid! Thanks for sharing the q&a!
💛💛Thanks for sharing this Maryann!
Thank you Max for answering so many questions and sharing so much of your life with us. For those of us that don't have the opportunity to travel the world it is such a pleasure to live vicariously through you and your adventurous life! Looking so forward to you finding some land and building a homestead. Wishing you and Occy happiness and excitement as your journey continues. Safe travels! ❤🐾🐾❤
💛Thanks mate!
You are a beautiful human being. I am happy you have remembered Lee in this clip....Ochy is adorable...I understand your freedom sadly after Ochy...You are a You tube Ambassador...and I love to see your growth. Bless you Max...Onwards.
Cute how Occy moved exactly as you were talking about Lee 8:06, he could feel the emotions.
Max and Occy, we love you! 😍
Thanks for sharing mate 💛 So glad you have found that comfort in nature!
@@MaxandOccy and @Kev Parker
Your showing strength that is in both of your Beings through your honesty and bravery in sharing real matters over your mental health.
I struggle also, not able to manage to get out in nature, just not able at the moment, to dwell with this goodness. Looking for a place with a garden.
SO hugely ecstatic for your good self and Occy and the nature too, all will gain much, benefits all round, from the presences in your new home. Glad Kev you spend time with nature too. Thank you all, and may many blessings be so and continue to grow in and around you.
Occy was put on the earth to make people smile you max are only there to provide the how when and why x
You are great human soul. You have reminded me to be one too. I look forward to you next video. Give Occy a big pat, cuddle or scratch!!! Regards from South Africa 🇿🇦
You are so real and true. You are a joy to watch. How you treat Occy is a testament to who you are as a person. We miss Lee too. Inspiring that you keep her memory alive. I believe you are doing all you should be doing to manage your mental health ( professional counsellor) and sharing your story and your strategies is helping so many.
It’s not hard to care about someone like you Max. You are such a nice bloke.
Well done. Wonderful to see honest vulnerability . You're helping other people Max.
Glad I found your channel a good year or so before Lee's passing. Loved the content you two made and the content you've made after, sharing pain openly is both humiliating and humbling.
What happened to Lee ?
@@lisasmith2065adly, she took her own life after struggling w/depression that came out of nowhere coupled w/a horrible cyberbully who taunted her relentlessly but-yay!-who’s now left YT.
@@lisasmith2065 She commited suicide. Rest In Peace, Lee
It's also a sign of strength. It's so lovely to watch Max grow
May be the best ad placement moment in RUclips history, LOL! Always appreciate your openness, kind heart, and that puffy fur ball Occy.
You are the best Max! I can't believe I have been watching you and Occy since your first video in Mexico. So happy that you have chosen to continue to share your journey with us on youtube. Can't wait to see the next chapter.
Max & Occy- beautiful souls roaming the vast Down Under!
Thanks for the updates and continuing to let us follow your journey! Maggie, Meeka & JoJo say Hi to Occy! 🐾
💛💛💛
Skinny love is my favorite song of all time, hands down. It's veey strange as it kept reoccurring in my suggested vids for a year, it wouldn't go away, then after a break up, I heard it and my, my, my. Bon/ Justin's live performances are a true peice of art. Worth the headache to get the tickets and every single penny to get to experience it. Cheers 🤘
Max and Occy - you are so loved and appreciated. Thanks for continuing to make genuine content of your real life experiences and sharing your passions for the ocean, natural forests, four-legged babies (I have 4 black mouth Kerrs) and the adventure thru your eyes!! Thankful you are feeling stable and nourishing yourself in all great ways! Blessings, love, and hugs - Mother Medicine in Florida
I didn’t realise Occy was an elder dog. He still looks young to me. How wonderful to have had so much time together 🙂 I don’t have a dog, and I know Occy isn’t a fan, but I’ll sayhito my cat from him anyway 😅
OMG, just the mention of Occy's eventual passing had me in tears! 😭 To know you and Occy even though just through your RUclips channel; is to love you both! The same goes for Lee, I was completely devastated by her tragic demise!
Wishing both you and Occy a long, long happy and healthy life!
Enjoy! ❤️
M too!❤
Solitude is wonderfully fortifying and is not the same thing as isolation.
Riley Roo the Sheltie and Sadie Bug the Frenchie send a big “Woof” to Occy. Thoroughly enjoyed the Q&A. Thank you for always bringing positive awareness to mental health care!
Dr Chatterjee’s Friday email reminded me that Monday 20 March is International Day of Happiness, a yearly occasion recognised by the United Nations since 2013, stating that happiness is a fundamental human right. This year’s theme is ‘be mindful, be grateful, be kind’,
Wishing you, Occy and all those reading this
Happy Happiness Day
As humans we can’t maintain happiness every day but we can make time each day to ‘be mindful, be grateful, be kind’, which can make the difference for ourselves and others in having more moments of happiness.
