Super Furry Animals - If You Don't Want Me To Destroy You (Later - 01.06.96)

This is a live performance of their 4th single from SFA's first appearance on Jools Holland's 'Later'. This was first broadcast on the 1st June 1996.
There is a bizarre exchange between Gruff and Jools when the latter mishears Gorwel Owen's name as 'a woman'. This leads to Jools telling the band that they could have his piano!
It seems that Jools didn't deliver on his promise, and Gruff raised it with him upon their return to perform on 'Later' for the second time, 4 years later...

Haha, what a hilarious intro! Gruff thoughtfully interrupts Jools to get him to include Gorwel in his introduction but because of his heavy Welsh accent Jools thinks he says "and a woman on the piano" when he actually says "...and Gorwel Owen on piano"! Excellent performance of a beautiful song too

what is great about this band is they have all stuck together for what 25 years or so great stuff this was my first live band i saw in the pavillion in llangollen back in 96 great band an have followed them ever since
