If you use a freezing pot while she jumps to use waterfall dance (or whatever its called) it will interrupt it
I was on my third attempt of her and was going smooth. Only used one healing flask, got to her second phase. Was going to heal as soon as the cut scean ended. But no as soon as it finished not a split second later she was dicing me like an onion.

@@crusher5728 unfortunately the issue with that is the hackers, being on pc dealing with them is easier to close out quickly to avoid the save issues or loss of progress due to people like go to brazil. He sends you into an infinite death loop and it’s tricky to get out of. I get what you’re saying, there’s just so many repercussions I wonder if it would truly be worth it

@@michaelbarton4705 Well, that's proof you CAN do it. Patience, learn the moves, the openings, take the damage you can get away with, and of course roll instead of blocking.
Alternatively you can upgrade 2 colossal weapons to max and just dual wield wale on her like a lunatic with the jump attack talisman and edibles. RAWWRRR
Or use dual wielded fast hitting bleed weapons.
Or death and/or poison mist. See how comfortable the iconic slow walk is NOW, biach.
This sums up the whole fight perfectly.
Before the Malenia fight, I was planning on wrapping up a bunch of stuff before NG+. After the Malenia fight, I was ready to burn that entire world down to the ground.
That actually happened to me. I don't know why I let my guard down and thought it was over but she rose and petal stomped my glass cannon ass into oblivion.
Was a nice animation and it paints the picture nicely... makes me wonder who was the first ever to discover her and had the first "she has a phase 2!!??" moment
I actually used “let me solo her” no shame here. It was amazing to sit back and watch.
How do you get the Let me solo her dude?
@@angiesworld8038 they Probably no longer play the game. But you usually just sit in front of melineas entrance and wait for the gold let me solo her name to appear in the co-op section. If there online and not already helping someone else.

Funny thing: for this fight, I actually summoned "Let me solo her" (*insert meme of Leonardo Di Caprio pointing finger at his screen)
Edit: I didn't know he was a popular player for this fight. Didn't win with him though (took me around 10-15 times to beat her).

I didn't let the guy (actually) solo Malenia, I just summoned him, and I didn't even beat Malenia with him (took me 10-15 times in total). Dude, are you ok? Did they change your meds or something? If you don't care then why are you commenting?
When I faced Malenia (and even when I watched this video), I didn't know "Let me solo her" was a popular player in the community, so when I saw him mentionned in this video I was like "oh, I know this guy! I played with him".
I've played (and "Platinum'd") all Soulsborne games since Demon's Souls (and that also include Elden Ring). I even wrote parts of a book on Dark Souls lore in my country. The one thing I always loved was the friendship and helping community, not this toxic kind of behavior.

First time I entered the arena, she "one hit"-ed me, before I even understood the fight had started...
Ah ah same for me. I was very close to the end game and had just beaten malakeith and the dragon lord without too much struggle, so I was feeling confident. Stepped into her Arena, watched the cutscene, I used an ash summon when the fight started... and I was dead before the end of the summon animation ^^ I was like " yeah ok I see why people are talking so much about her".
velice akurátní, kvalita jako vždy, i reference na let me solo her. asi nejtěží fight v elden ringu. nakonec jsem to pokořil s mimikem a bleed/frost buildem. Pokračuj dál.
The end was marvelous. Even though my "summon" was just Sir Dungeater, he did really well against her.
I also summoned players for the fun but many didn't even make it to phase 2.
i have the opposite problem, all host insta die in second phase
@@Necrotaku999 well when there players made it to phase 2 it was also neither instant death or they died soon after.
Tbf the attack she starts off with has a pretty weird time to dodge and if the first attack hits the explosion usually also hits resulting in instant death.
Sadly the spell isnt nearly as powerful when used by the player.

@@Necrotaku999 well it kinda works against many enemies in PvE and is able to scarlet pretty good... But the dragon breath has much more consistency and takes less time to cast, better protection and it's ranged...
Yeah it's kinda bad, not darkness bad but yeah bad.
@@karamuto1565 darkness its usefull in very specific situations, costs only 1 slot and dont expose you like that, on the other hand scarlet bloom its 3 slots has bad damage and its kinda expensive to cast, its a nerf on your build, with those 3 slots you can have so many things, the other 3 slot its very good, insanely good in certain situations
Seriously if you want to use scarlet rot put on the silver tear mask and use rotten breath, which is what everyone who wants to.use rot its going to do because scarlet aeonia ITS AN ENDGAME REWARD which you get after beating the arguably hardest boss in the game
All combined makes scarlet aeonia the worst incantation and probably spell in the whome game its useless as it is, its not high risk low reward its sacrifice and low reward
While you are blooming and doing 500 damage and procing rot the enemy just kills.you with 3 hits
Pretty much there’s also currently a bug where certain attacks of hers like the one in phase 2 where she sends 5 butterfly people to attack you before attacking herself and even if none of them hit you it can bug out and act like all 6 attacks hit you and she heals for HALF if not more of her health bar another attack is the multitude of quick attacks she does at close range

@@matttownsend8406 no what was fixed was mp summons ie other players being summoned would cause malenia to heal for literally no reason everytime she swung , regardless of whether or not she actually hit anyone
@@soraneptune4178 what did the actual patch notes say? It said she was healing off attacks i multiplayer right? I assumed that whatever caused that would be the same bug.
@@matttownsend8406 patch notes was very ambiguous .
I encountered another bug with her. Sometimes she would continue fighting in her 1st phase even after depleting all her health. Usually one more hit triggers the cutscene but rarely she can take 2 or 3 and then she starts second phase with already depleted health bar.
Not only that but once she started her second phase this way and when I bled her with kukris all her her remaining health disappeared LOL.

Yeah I went with easy not much time consuming animation technique for these parody animations, but I had to show some skills just for a second. I am planning on some more cool styles and more detailed animations for some of the future videos tho 😁

Super accurate. During my second attempt, I actually beat her first form and took off half her life bar during the second, and actually said out loud "Oh, this won't be bad at all"... muh bad.

80 faith user here. I tried casting spells on her without much luck. Finally,I used Rykard's sword and just spammed the weapon special on her. My mimic did the same. Kept knocking her on her ass for phase one and did more of the same for phase 2 while she shredded my mimic. Won pretty easily that way.

@@benjaminthibieroz4155 for faith/strength builds, yes. Devastating damage and a powerful knockdown make this an incredible close-quarters weapon.

This boss fight reminds me a lot of Sister Friede, but on steroids. Same tactics works tho, you just have to be far more perfect with dodging. You have to be really aggresive in correct moments and then ofc. don't get hit (so easy, huh? :D)

Level up, use power buffs and rivers of blood katana with mimic. It took me a week to beat her but I finally kicked her ass with bleed.
a week ? I had a bad time, and It took me around 30 tries... It could have been worse XD

My mimic had dual katana, moonveil and cold, I spammed swarm of flies, got her 3rd try.

A friend was at the door to this fight and stopped, turned to me and said, "we have to get your boyfriend to fight her." He hadn't played a second of it but has a power to master and destroy games after a minute. So I get him and is just told how to move and sent to fight. After about an hour of all three of us playing and trying, only half health the first form and we haven't told my boyfriend who got the farthest in there is a 2nd form.

I'm using range ash of war and I have to say phase 1 is pretty easy and I first try it to 2nd phase.
Her AI is extremely passive when you're far away from her and she has no hyper armour at all when she's slowly walking.
Then it becomes quite insane cuz of all the hyper armour she gets, meaning cant cheese her with range knockdown anymore.
PS: I do not knew the fight nor do I check for any guide/ method to fight her when I first tried her, just using my normal build with spirit ash to fight her.
you forgot to insert the "rivers of blood" ending where you deal 8k dmg with it
I beat Malenia's first phase my first ever try. And I'm not kidding, but the second phase took me over 150-200 tries, the difficulty just ramps up so drastically.
Bloody Finger Miyazaki's invasion made me burst out laughing.
Meanwhile souls veterans were thanking the gods they finally found another challenging boss.

@@jonsmith2182 honestly everyone in my souls friend group beat Margit pretty easily. Godrick at the end of stormveil was the real wall for all of us. Took us each a couple hours of trying to get him. My theory for why Margit is hated so much is that you can find him at the start of the game. Like the game leads you to Margit at the top of the hill. So, naturally, being a new player with base armor/weapons trying to fight him while also being a low level newb... well, you're gonna have a bad time.
After you play games like Dark Souls and Elden Ring you get a feel for what is more doable and what is an acceptable damage output before grinding a boss. If you're not doing any decent numbers you're either using something it has high defense against or in a wrong area for your current level. If you've sure you've done everything you can around a boss and are still doing terrible damage, then that boss is just a monster and you just gotta figure it out. Where me and my friends made a mistake was not knowing you can run past stormveil into liurnia and start playing there.

Tips for malenia:
Don't get too greedy
After the overhead slash there is an opening,only attack once to be able to dodge her next combo
For her waterfowl dance,when she winds up the first time,gain some distance,then when she winds up again roll into her,the third time you can roll anywhere and avoid it
