Amazing video, got it all set up with zero issues and had 4 friends on within an hour and a half. One thing I will say, your copy/paste for the settings, has the egg incubation time at 72.0, which had my regular small eggs at 6 hours time limit. I changed it back to 1.0 and its at normal times. For multiplayers trying to join, the ipConfig IPv4 will not work. No matter what Port Forwards you have. Your multiplayer joiners need your public ISP IPv4 which is different from the config (atleast on my Ethernet PC). Once they had my public IPv4 from ISP it was an immediate connection. IPv4 from the PC directly was not our answer
For people who can't find the "Saved" file in the "Pal" folder, you gotta launch the game at least once for it to show up. Once you do it'll be in there.
this guide is great - i have fully set it up however my friends are getting timed out when they try to join. All ports are forwarded, etc. Could this be a specs issue? Or is there something i'm looking over? do people joining also have to have ports open/forwarded?
Great guide, but I only forwarded 8211 and didnt add the firewall rule but it still worked. Are there any advantages to doing these steps? Such as a more stable connection?

Is port forwarding the same as virtual server in my router settings? The port forward doesnt have the same options as your example, but the virtual server does
backups and restarts for a dedicated steam server, and if you do would you ever consider a video for it? Your videos have helped me more than others, I'm kinda lost on the backup and restart scripts though haha
For those of you still encountering this error after doing firewalls and ports etc, it's so dumb how this has been missed from the guides. In the PalWorldSettings.ini file ensure that "bIsMultiplay=true"

Do the specs of the pc running the server matter? Is it essentially just saving .txt data with an internet connection? Wondering if I can use my cheap laptop instead of my dedicated rig, in terms of choosing what to leave online semi-permanently. Also can you move the server data between computers just by copying a folder? Also can you migrate a multiplayer non-dedicated server into a dedicated private server?
just as an fyi if you open the pal folder and are missing the saved folder, you need to launch the palworld dedicated server and let it run for a second.
I did every step in the tutorial but it did not work so that my friends could join the server, what did help was setting my own custom port so for anyone it does not work for, maybe try setting a custom port
makes sense until steam already owns forwarding rules for 27014-27050 that cant be changed, so trying to create your own rule for 27015-27016 is a port conflict

Recently "Palworld dedicated server" on steam has updated and now when I start up the dedicated server and pal world when i try to join my server it gives me the error that the game version is incompatible. Both the game and server on steam are updated properly too... Lemme know if you have a solution to this. Thank you!

Hello There, thanks for this amazing tutorial it worked perfectly. I also followed another tutorial to transfer my coop game to a Dedicated server and was able to sucesfully do so. I have been playing it for the past week and when i wanted to run commands such as adminpassword, save or doexit i got prompted with a message saying the server does not have a password. I also notice on the recent server played the server name is not the same as i entered it only shows. DEFAULT PALWORD SERVER. I would love to be able to run admin commands and potentially save the server safetly when i decide to turn my pc off. Yes my pc has been on for a full week lol.

Hello, I have a question: I'm sorry if this has been addressed already elsewhere, but I noticed in your Launch Options there is the ability to change the player count. I read that the max number of players on Palworld servers is set to 32, however is it possible to increase that limit manually with your server method?
My router doesn't have port forwarding as an option, only buttons are Port Triggering and Virtual Servers. I've tried to do this tutorial with them and its not working.
has anyone done this that uses cox panoramic wifi? i need help with the port forwarding in the cox wifi app. it wants me to select the device for this port foward. do i select my computer? i don't see the router as an option on the drop down.

For anyone not seeing the "Saved" folder, you need to launch the tool from steam and close it then the folder will appear

Your PC must be online 24 hours
yep, palworld dedicated server has to actively be running so if your PC can run it while its asleep ( i doubt it) then it should still work

You have to copy the "[/Script/Pal.PalGameWorldSettings]" too and it will work
