Knight sets are the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen, Vikings shafted once again. I really don’t understand the logic of giving the Knights these gorgeous full metal sets then just say “nah” for the Vikings
i dont know, even in first season they mess up with the "historically acurate" armor for vikings... its like they dont even search for ideas, they go full chinsaw massacre concept and stuck there
I mean the Vikings in For Honor have a unique and interesting look and feel to them but I still want more protective armors and there’s a lot they can do with just reskins but last year you saw them give I think at least 4 heroes actually new armor sets which was Pirate, Shinobi, Highlander, and Gladiator I think. They should do that again but for the Vikings like with Raider.
@@dutchalwayshasaplan4956 it's going to be a while, before that happens. Back in Marching Fire they gave the entire year 1 cast (Pre-Season 2 Shadow and Might cast) new armors to compensate for players who didn't have any purchasable characters, then later on in the years new armors for the other heroes were drip fed, Marching Fire, then The year 1 DLC characters, they still have the year 4 heroes (Year of the Harbingers), and the rest of the Outlanders other than Pirate, so I'd get comfortable, bud.

they really just cant get the vikings right.
tip: Less leather and fur, more chainmail.
Scalemail and lammelar would also be acceptable. wasnt commonly used in the norse lands, but it wasn't unheard of, being imported armor for the rich and well to do soldiers.
You should’ve given Raider as a reskin have a chainmail or lamellar apron, have tucked chainmail pieces under the leather leg guards and keep the leather leg guards leather and have the boots also change leather colors but keep them steel toes, have the chainmail helmet that covers the whole head and face but a chainmail texture all the way around, also give them one of the arms that have the fur over the shoulder and the leather on the other shoulder will have a piece of dented salvaged Knight armor and the rest of that leather down the arm will be clean leather, striped pants that change colors, a shirt or tunic texture under his apron on the skin like you did with the chainmail reskin but this would make more sense because it’s a cloth shirt and some muscular men wear their shirt tight and this shirt will also change colors with the striped pants and the arm will also have a tunic texture on them for the sleeves. It would be the best Raider reskin. I really wish the Vikings got more protective armor or more accurate Viking clothing like tunics. I remember you guys released actually new armor sets for some heroes last year like Gladiator and Highlander. You guys should do that again because a lot of characters need new armor and it would be cool to get some new face reveals but in terms of new armor I think the Vikings need it the most especially protective stuff or even just Viking clothes. I think it would be smart of an idea that every season everyone gets a reskin but 1 hero gets an actually new armor set and of course 1 hero that season will get a hero skin too but still I’d love if every season 1 hero got an actual new armor set along with everyone’s reskins. I did love all the Knight reskins though for the most part.
As usual, when it comes to the vikings, the devs were cooking up burning the whole kitchen
This Viking armors just keep losing
The knights’ armor is beautiful… but once again, the devs show what their favorite faction is. And it’s clear that the wu lin are hated because they haven’t gotten decent armor (or even a new hero) for a long time.
well i mean it's kind of a no brainer
during the knights age. there ws a lot more weapons, armors, so it's easier to make more heroes with said weapons.
The vikings didn't really care about looks as long as it killed their enemies, hence their barbaric look
the samurai i completely get because everything gets completely overshadowed by the katana
there isn't a lot known about the chinese feudal era so it's a lot harder for the wu lin to have new heroes
@@coursaire2628 I mean I kind of understand the lack of any new wu lin heroes. I’ve designed one or two of my own, and it was hard finding reference material that either 1) didn’t resemble an existing wu lin hero, or 2) wasn’t more on the fantasy/unrealistic or sexy side.

what did you make?
The Wu Lin are in a bit of a strange place. Their fashion has always been S tier, being faithful in roots while also having fantastical elements for the armour sets where that fits. While they didn't have a large amount of shiny metal in their original armour sets, later sets had plenty. Their problem is that Ubisoft doesn't give them new Heroes or new Hero Skins (Shaolin was the first).
Knights used to have pretty bad fashion as well. It took years before Warden's chest armour wasn't just gambeson with a piece of metal over the heart. Then, suddenly, Warden (and most of the other Knights) are showered in beautiful metal armour sets. And they kept their favoritism in terms of game/event lore, Hero Skins and reworks (just how many Warden and Lawbringer reworks have there been now?).
Samurai had good armour designs, but the problem was that it was basically all wood. Wood textures weren't reflective like metal and also had different colour materials, so it just looked flat. New armour sets have simply swapped the wooden textures for shiny metal and now the Samurai have good fashion. Despite having the largest population in the Faction War (indicating popular support), they don't get the favouritsm of the Knights.
Vikings thought... have always gotten shit. Their armour used to make them look like homeless people in rags. Despite years of new armour content, that literally hasn't changed. The only exception is Varangian Guard. And don't even get me started on Raider's Hero Skin. At least Highlander's was decent.

The knights armor were good but the vikings were disappointing like always for some reason they believe vikings never wore metal armor when they clearly did like lamellar scale mail ect and vg was literally recycled
this new armour sets are fucking beautiful. so simple and customisable... continuing the theme of the devs actually being competent in Year 8.
The knights armor is so shiny it's hurting my eyes, and the viking armor (raider, berserker, warlord, and highlander) is so bland it's hurting my soul (whatever is left of it anyway)
Lawbringer is the best one here, easily. The others are ALMOST perfect. I really hate it when the parts where paint patterns where paint patterns go are replaced with chainmail. Most of them are so close to being perfect that it's painful. Chainmail should be reserved for material, not patterns.
Varangian looks so good that she easily blows the rest of the faction out of the water. Hope the rest of the vikings escape their fantasy barbarian cage someday.
Finally more Knight armour that has no spikes in them.
Pretty disappointing with this year so far. They announced it big but it is exactly the same content as previous years. I would rather have armor in the battle pass than the 10000th weapon skin...

Are you talking about his helmet in this video? If so that’s not a kettle helmet. He did get kettle helmet though when they did release his actual new armor sets last year which gave him a face reveal. I still think Conqueror should’ve gotten that kettle helmet with a face reveal because he already does have a full face model even under the covered areas which people have seen by phasing the camera through his helmets. He obviously isn’t the most handsome guy bad he looks like a normal dude sent to war who was probably also a convict which is the lore behind Conquerors.
Ahh its so much work to do. Lets put A RESKIN not anymore in a Pack just drop it for 2 Factions. Dude I feel Like Ubi working but SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW

Thing is this is great for the Knight faction and as a warden player for the most part this armor is good but for the love of God why don’t they just add full plate armor that covers all of the body instead of this stuff that just beats around the bush. All I ask is to look like a full on knight

Why the hell arrent you able to comprehend that the vikings should also have armor, it has been a lot of years and you still releasing those nasty leather armors for the vikings like if they were nehandertals, just look at your already existant viking commander, officer and skrimish big minion and draw that concept into the heroes...

They did that last year with Gladiator, Highlander, Pirate, and Shinobi I believe. I agree though each season with the reskins 1 hero should get an actual new armor set.

These actually look useable for once. Tempted to come back and play, but then I remember all the flashy/gimmicky bs that is the visual design of this game- far from the original concept and teasers which were much more gritty. Huge disappointment but I stuck with it until rep 400 before I'd had enough. Last Ubisoft game for me I think
Whose idea was it to start showing faces.. the anonymity behind the masks was so clever and made you feel like you could be the hero you chose.. and also it doesnt put a timestamp on the graphics capability of the game. Faces are the hardest things to animate and its held back by the old engine which makes the game look as old as it actually is

Normally this are low effort reskins. This? Pretty much take out everything, clean armors, with no ornaments, no degradation, no texture. Pretty much the MOST low effort Ive seen. Damn ubi, you never fail to dissapoint with this.
This is literally one of the better reskins we’ve seen and the community wants more clean protective armor.
Where is are ps5 versions it's been on ps4 scens 2016 it 2024 we need that upgrade for the new consoles

Im making a gray knight lawbringer.
As always ubi fumbled with Warden and the Viking sets. But the rest is good. Lawbringer got a really good armor.
I think Warden was good but the Vikings deserve better. Also Conquerors armor looks good I just wish instead of him having padded collar protection it would instead be plate armor.
@@dutchalwayshasaplan4956 I will always hate the Chilled tomb styled. 3 loosse plates that don't protec shit, the cloth is on the inside and the arms are all loose too.
My problem is that somehow ubi fumbles while having the blueprints on the Internet. Its really so hard for them to make a plate chest? Or cloth over plate or over mail? Its the same thing with the Vikings, they do a great job with a New charcter but refuse to give the same treatment to older characters.
Your example with conq is a example of that. Its even worse when you look back at older armor and you think " if they removed the spikes or ad this this armor would be perfect" its almost like they do it on pourpose.

@@dutchalwayshasaplan4956 Thanks man, i really enjoy when the amor and weapons are of good quality. When i saw that warlord and berserker got some kind of lamelar armor i was so happy in the last seson. The scale amor on VG is also one of the things i wished ubi used properly on the other Vikings.
One of the thins that always bummed me is that Warden has two or three sets that look like brigandine but there is always something in the way. The chest tha came during the sesson of the flood is plate armor, but the design is so busy that it almost can't be used with nothing
Anyway at least we got some good ones and warden finaly has some better animations. Maybe in the future we get a good New set of armor.

Ah yes, Viking gets ugly armor as usual... thanks guys -_- when will we ever recieve historical chainmail/scale armor for the vikings instead of homeless barbarian outfits, put some work into the outfits instead of making reskins, or atleast reskin the good looking armor sets

suggestion : when showing off new armors, make the heroes pose without their weapons to show off their armor more (it used to be like this, dunno why y’all changed it)
also y’all should copy paste the hero, and face the back towards the camera. So we can have a side-by-side view of what the new armor looks like from behind and front
