This is exactly why I watch. So nurturing and comforting.
That's one reason why I watch it. She reminds me of my aunt who I have a strained relationship with. Long story.
She reminds me of my mom who passed away, its very comforting, she sounds a little like her as well.
I was sexually assaulted a few months ago and I lost friends because of the anger and depression it caused and I haven't been able to sleep a full night without being woken up by the PTSD so this helped me sleep for a full 8 hours thank you so much 💗

For real, though! I’ve heard of brick & mortar ASMR locations being opened in recent years and it’s genius. If I lived near one I would have appts scheduled on the regular alongside the dentist or any other necessity, and with the same importance. “Dear boss, just FYI I’ll need to leave early next Wednesday for an ASMR appt at 1pm.” Lol funny, but truth.

Something about her is so comforting. I got asmr a lot when i was younger (lol didn't know what it was) a lot from school nurses or older hair dressers, just lovely and calming older women. They just make you feel very safe. She has the same effect and i feel so comfortable and content

You should check out the Reddit /r/raisedbynarcissists you will find some people who have very similar experiences and you may gain some insight into how to deal with your feelings towards your mother. I really appreciate that when you brush hair it doesn't make a ripping sound. Lots of ASMR people just rip through the hair and it makes me cringe.
