Good tier list, but don’t forget that the Xbow is close to being the hardest defense to get rid of, it can shoot very far, has a lot of hp, you get 4 and they can melt big troops quicker than most defenses…

@@Demise698 yes and it consists of dragon riders in th 14, pekka yeti smash th 13, E drags in th 11 and 12 basically tanks that get melted from far away by X bows

I think mortar should be d tier because only usefull below th6 😂,but above th10 we put mortar outside base can damage a wizard, barbarian and archer,. It also can attract a balloon and hogrider so your defense can damage it

X bow deserves S tire dude....its great against all armies. From queen walk to drag spam can also destroy many loons and all. And teslas i think should be a tier. There really good.
it hurts when your queen gets targeted by a x-bow and the queen cannot reach it

nah man, mortar is useless in th 8 and above, they just special in th 4&5 , when you put mortar in the middle of the base😂
Wizard tower and multi target inferno outclassed the mortar and they function almost the same. The only real use of the mortar in higher TH is to take out wallbreakers and those brave enough to attempt to BARCH attack, mortars cannot stop super wallbreakers
@@rdu239 yep, but most effective farming strategy in higher TH level is mass baby dragon/sneaky goblin, so yeah, also mortar can't even splash & take down bat spell like wizard tower & multi inferno does, well take out wallbreakers? in higher TH they put mortar in the outside of the base, so basically it's easy to predict

I just don't agree with only one defence and that is mortar, I would place it below cannon and rest of the chart is perfect for me....btw mortar is good defence for lower level like TH8 or lower while it is not that much ggod aboe TH8 except its geared up form.

Well when you put it to the Edge of the base it could prevent farmers but that's all it could really do

@@joshuafrank1246 The only use it has at TH14 is to potentially mess up defense target pathing, but then again Teslas are often used for that because of their sneaky mechanic.
I think that X-bow and Inferno are both in S-tier: for me they are the most terrifying defenses of the game. Inferno for his Single target, that can do a enormous amount of damage, and X-bow for his constant damage and for his long range
Mortar is F Tier, not like its gonna do a lot against 80lvl heroes, and the fact that 80% of the meta is air units make it completely trash

Yah, its only function at higher TH is to stop wallbreakers and wizards attempting to do initial funneling on outside perimeter. Mortars cannot stop super wallbreakers
Doesn’t even matter that half the meta is air units it hardly does any better against ground units
The only good thing a Mortar can do above TH9 is to kill the archers summoned by the Archer Queen lmao.
Xbow should be high as me this afternoon, its consistent and has reaaaaaally long range wich permits the 4 of them to cover all the important spots.
I miss the times were tesla dealt 2X Damage to Pekka.

I would put mortar lower maybe in C or even D tier. Because it is only useful in lower th. The higher the th level is, the more useless it becomes.

Gear up is useless for mortar it just increases damage by like 10% but its easier to actually hit something

Airsweeper is A tier for defending
but its by far the most annoying defense when attacking
I have had dragons locked on the town hall about to clutch it but after being sweeped they locked to a nearby storage 🤦
They died under hidden tesla fire...
Its not hard to take out an air sweeper above th10 because u can just u a bb with edrag and loons inside
Battle blimp it with Yetis.
I personally dislike the bomb towers. Their role is pretty similar to a wizard tower just more specialized toward ground troops.
It's a much deadlier one than Wizard Tower for hog rider and witch attacks

@@kimbaldun Personally, If I'm worried about witch or hog attacks I just have 2 multi-target infernos instead of 1. Edrag spam is way more popular though at least where I'm sitting around 3k.

@@Deimos620thing is - if you run 2 multi inferno, you leave yourself open to stronger troops. Particularly ED.
With how much splash there is in defenses, there's no reason to have your inferno set to multi. At th12, you get a 3rd inferno. Set that to multi and keep 2 single.
X- bow should be S tier
Idk, is it broken? It's like a much better archer tower, it does a good job against everyting but can never do as much as top defences.
I know none of the defenses are bad but in perspective it would've been alot more interesting to spread all the defenses across all tiers (d,e,f) so that you had to split them more. (IMO)
I feel like bomb tower is like a high b tier it is an underrated defence and can easily wipe out swarms and even good against giants and hog rider or valks even
I completely disagree. I’ve never seen a bomb tower do anything significant
@@peachdevils3893 they limit the place for ground force from battle blimp though. You don't see them being significant bc you only meet low leveled one or you play air attacks.
Scattershot's attack is like Brawl stars' Penny and Clash Royale's Firecracker attack
Except it does so like 10 times more damage than firecracker.
Good thing scattershot doesnt deal the same damage as penny
0:57 I would put archer in A tier just since you can have a lot and attack in both air and ground and has a lot of range
Still my favorite are the defenses that you place them in the middle of the village (or core defenses) like inferno tower, eagle alt, air sweeper and scattershot.

I think you should have shown a example with the air sweeper. Like put a air defense behind it and put something with high HP like a lava hound. Air sweeper is A tier but you should have shown what it would look like realistically.
Lava hound will out run the sweep if the air defence behind the sweeper.
Which is bad or good depending in the base designer
Air sweepers are super effective against e drags
Next should be on troops with super troops also

X-bow should be used for it's range, not for it's dps
C for Cannon... Makes sense
If you're not going to use E,D,F then they shouldn't be on the list. Instead start with cannon in F tier since it was ranked the lowest, then inferno tower in S since it's the highest. Then put everything in the middle to fill in the gaps.
I would put mortar in E tier and bomb tower in D, while xbow should be S tier
Archer towers are good because there's a lot of em.
Cannons are good because there's a lot of em.
Wizard tower protects your air defenses and air sweepers.
Air defenses : powerful defense
Mortar is extremely op at early game but in late game can be used to lure test balloons/ cocoloons, balloons, and hog riders riders.
Xbow is just extremely powerful, it has extremely high range, and very good DPS, should be your first defense to upgrade when reaching new townhall.
Inferno towers are op, multi target and single target they're extremely good, single target is good for taking out golems, lava hounds, pekkas, heroes and etc, multi target infernos are very good at taking out mass attacks, inferno towers are always the number 1 defense you should take out in raids.
Scattershot : very powerful splash defense, you should take it out first with grand wardens ability, a freeze and rage your troops.
Hidden Tesla : good last line of defense of your townhall, or you can put it in your wall pockets for extra damage.
Air sweeper : there's no reason to not have an air sweeper, it's important defense.
Eagle Artillery :
Extremly powerful splash defense with basically infinite range.

Good tier list, but in my opinion it should be:-
*S -* Inferno, XBow, Scattershot, TH, Eagle, Battle Huts
*A -* Air Defense, Wizard Tower, Hidden Tesla
*B -* Archer Tower, Mortar
*C -* Cannon, Air Sweeper, Bomb Tower

Bomb tower is soooo much better than mortar.
I would argue the tesla should be in A teir at least. A tesla farm can ruin attacks if placed right

Are u a town hall 5, or something. The higher th the worst it gets. Its good against anything less than 4 housing space and that's it.

Mortar in th3-5 hurts so much. Destroys army's very well. But after like th7-8 it doesn't do that well since army's after that are usually air attacks or heavy ground troops. Useful sometimes but not much afterwards
But can it blame the defence, you unlock it at th3, not made for stuff like golem
Actually, it does do good damage on the archer queen too. Had many times of my archer queen taking massive damage from the mortar

For the most realistic results, you should test them against every troop and rank them according to their wins/loses
It makes complete sense that none of the defences ended up being D tier or lower
All of them are either weak but you get a lot of them like cannon
Or there broken powerful if you place them in the right place but you can’t have a lot of them like inferno tower
Of course quality is better then quantity so it makes complete sense why most of the s tiers you could only place like 2 of them

@@HI-hj2wyWizard funneling is in lower town halls. Mortars are most of the time useless in higher town halls so I won't be surprised if someone placed it in F tier

According to me motar and bomb tower should be c class and cannon should be b class. Remaining all is fine
Bomb tower should be respected though. It can help preventing a place for blimp to get a drop, force a healing spell for miner and hog attack, help to kill skelly from witch. It is to stop spamming ground force, and actually in rare events, you have PEKKA hiting it

Iam just TH11 and i forgets there is a defense like mortar, it's not effective since no one's using small troops in upper TH and some use air troops which make mortar useless
Scattershot is very strong 💪💪 but i think a Big Bomb of Townhall 14 is the best 💣💣💣
Builder hut is an x-bow with less range and less damage, so why s tier?
Probably because it can heal other buildings, and it is just super annoying...
It can repair buildings so it's a big help/protection for major defenses
I think Mortar below cannon, the rest I agree with. The thung with Mortar is that it is only good below T8 - 9 and it ends up just being put outside the base in hopes of luring golems and such away from walls.

People really disrespecting my boy Mortar in TH9 and above. Ive seen many of my defense or attack replay's seeing Mortar slowly chipping damage to the archer queen and when the mortar got destroyed, the serroundings defense could killed her.

Good list but cannon should be B and mortar C
Mortar isn't very effective in higher town hall levels imo. Canons and archers are really everybody's first line of defense and are useful in the aspect of having your better defenses beat on the enemy while the enemy takes out those 2 defenses. Also the x bow in its ground and air setting imo is the most well rounded defense.
Really every defense is situational and could all he considered s tier at times other than a few of them.
I do agree with inferno tower being set at the top of s tier but it's still situational.

Can't agree with the comments on mortar hate - mortars can end your whole existence in case of a witch attack. Same can be said for any AOE damage, but since mortars are the cheapest and they don't have to target anything else other than skeletons and witches - their damage actually means something. Also, nobody ever targets mortars with zaps, even when they can add them to their value, which means that mortars have the most chance to survive of all AOE-def, rivaling only the TH.
The issue with mortar is its massive blind spot and the travel time. Don't matter if it can wreck skeles if it misses and then they get in the blind spot.

Mortar is very bad imo, lowest hp and dps, only attacks ground and has a blind spot. Only thing going for it is splash damage.

I prefer the bomber tower on D tier, Tesla on A,builder hut on B, mortar on D, wizard tower on B and swiper on B.

They should really buff mortars. A good buff would be making the ground scorched for a few seconds and deal over time damage after lvl 8

X-Bow should be S tier cuz of its advantages like it can outrange a flame flinger even on air/ground mode and it's unlocks at early town halls of the game(TH--9)

Mortar at C tier, Bomb tower at D Tier, and maybe the builder guys at A tier, but that one I could go either way on.
Imo mortar is worse than bomb tower.
@@awesomekingakathe66bro36 they do the same thing, and I get that the bomb tower has the bomb that goes off, but unless your using melee troops that are slow, that bomb won’t do shit and the mortar does more damage overall. That being said, the range on the mortar can help pick off sniping troops like archers and witches from far out and that gives me the plus over bomb tower
