- Single Target Inferno tower vs Multi Target Inferno Tower in Clash of Clans (COC). Inferno Towers are one of the best defenses in Clash of Clan. Inferno tower has 2 modes, Single and Multi target mode. We will be comparing Multi Target and Single Target inferno in COC!
The Inferno Tower is a defensive building unlocked at Town Hall level 10, that shoots a stream of flame that burn through even the thickest armor. It can be set to single-target or multi-target.
The Inferno Tower was added in the May 23rd, 2013 update that added Town Hall level 10. It had 2 levels and only single target mode. The December 2013 update gave the Inferno Tower the multi target mode.

Multi is more dangerous at high townhall levels because people start using pro Strats like lavaloon and hybrid instead of spamming dragons

And yea lavaloon players don't use heal spells,but they will take out your some of the inferno tower with others
As I use lavaloon and hybrid(kinda bad at lavaloon but still improving),so this is truth for sure,lavaloon will be a bit hard against multi infernos,but for hybrid it's not a big problem

Single target - the fear of any Queen charge/walk attempt. The fear of any high HP tank troop.
Multi target - the fear of hybrid attacks, lalo, minions. The fear of sneaky goblins (for farming)
My two infernos was set into multiple while the one is for one or vice versa. Inferno tower has a high damage output it's better to set as one target to maximize it.
I really hate single inferno they roast my cc troops

The point of multi is to be paired with different defenses to be most effective against swarm type attacks, and single is best suited at the core of bases so it’s harder for people to 3 star. Different types for various situations
Inferno tower on single target IS the ultimate defence. When thought about other defences there are no flaws with it, mortar wizard tower scattershot xbow being mostly multi and spam troop defences while inferno being able to take down big boi tanks.

I'm town hall 12 and I use 2 singles on either side of the town hall and 1 multi next to the town hall in-between the singles. I don't understand why some people only use single or only use multi. They are clearly designed for dealing with different troops and are really good at doing what they are designed so using a combination of single and multi infernos covers the entire spectrum.
Having all ur infernos near ur th like that is a terrible idea, a blizzard could take out all of them, or U could use warden ability

Its really kind of strange: at th10 since their base damage is so low infernos are best set to single, at TH11/12 they become better in terms of base damage and are best multi; at TH13 we have the scattershot and a better giga weapon so it is best set to single; at TH14/15 we add a target for the multi at Lv8+ and we introduced the monolith so we set it back to multi again

I set two infernos on single , and the highest level one on Multi. That’s the best for my base that I’ve found

A single mode inferno tower alone in a large compartment with filler walls is very deadly.
Same with multi… any inferno tower can be quite threatening in a compartment like that

Single target is recommended on low level Inferno Tower Lv-1 to 3 (which is common on Dragon spam) once you get it to Lv4 you can switch to Multi target due to it is more overall higher damage than Single Target.
Multi Target are currently the best because most attacks can be counted with it. But having one single for backup is good (electro drag, dragon rider or super witch attack)
I would say I'm low th and lvl single is best and in higher lvl and th multi

They are both designed to take down different troop configurations.
Personally since i embed Queen charge,i fear the singles most. While the multis are effective against my secondary units which are boulders (along with yeti,golem,siege machine,Bking,warden)

I see what's going on here though it's when the old inferno tower has more than one enemy it will for sure be destroyed but when it only has one enemy it's going to exceed so in reality in a real battle it would be the worst option

I love it whenever a base a multi infernos, i spam dragons and dragon riders behind then send in blimp behind to tale out town hall, inside town hall i take yetis, one rage spell
The best scenario especially if you are Town Hall 12 and above is to use one multi and two single inferno towers .. this is because the TH attacks and you basically have a second multi inferno (once the Town Hall has been awakened that is)

It depends on the kind of attacks.

The results with the yeti and valkyrie can't be count. Both times the regular inferno got an advantage with the troops being deployed two tiles further away.
Multi is better for all less housing troops
While single is for high housing troops each one has its individual characteristics so it is better to keep them closer to each other
Multi works well for low life - low space swarm troops.
Single mode works well with high life - high space troops
Single : Burst Damage.
Multi : AoE Damage.
Combine both properly for best results. We won't even know what tactics enemies use. Each different attack tactics can even bring complete victory. Since it's so good, they'll allow even TH 9 to use freeze so as to silent those dangerous magmas.

This video just proved how well that game is balanced
Its actually best to place 1 inf tower on each setting imo. If you space them out it doesn't matter what attack is coming, yes one inf will go down but the 2nd one will melt the attack when it reaches it. When you unlock 3 I would put two on single target spaced out along the left and right of the village and place the one on multi target in the center, or two multi and 1 single.

MULTI TARET IS GOOD AT SQUISHY HP HEROES AND SINGLE TARGET IS GOOD AT TANKY HEROES
I would say as th14 strategy 2 multi and 1 single near th and i like multi target because it has more firing range and th14 multi target can roast 6 targets whereas all lower th multi can only roast 5 rargets
I enjoy how they roast each other 😂👍 both are great for me, it's up to the attacker how they'll combat the inferno's style 😁
I like that multis kinda bypass tank units and start frying the weaker DPS units while all your other defenses are locked on tanks
The thing is - different inferno work for different bases. If you're lacking in splash damage, or getting destroyed by hogs, then obviously the multi is going to be better.
Likewise if you're getting spammed with edrags, putting them on single will help tame them.
I struggle defending against edrag spam so mine are set to single, I position them to weave between xbow and air defense and put a tornado trap just in range of it so that I could at least take out 1 or 2.

Always keep your Inferno Multi.. Otherwise they'll punish you with bats & Witches.. There's a reason why there's rarely Single inferno in Clash Championships.. Though it's okay to keep 1 single at TH 12 & above.
You can keep it on single though cuz 90% of players are Spam Zap Drag users.
I am th12 with 1 single two multi tho my single is maxed level while my multis are lvl 5
Bomb Towers are made for Witches and if you're th10 people just go with the Gowiwi strat, Single is the best defense against Golems and yeah Multi is the best for Bats but it still depends on your base layout
In my case i never see anyone use Bats anymore, Most of the time just people spamming Edrag so Single is the best counter for that, Multi scares Hog and Valks players tho

when to use a multi-target inferno tower?
If you think your base is closed packed and by closed packed I mean that the buildings and all the defences are very close to each other then you should use the multi-target inferno tower since it targets multiple troops so in case your base is under attack it will give the enemy some damage before they can actually 3 or 2 star your base
when to use a single-target inferno tower?
if you believe that your base is large and expanded over the whole village then you should use the single-target inferno tower since your base is so expanded and large the enemy troops unless it is one of the spam armies like e-drags or drags will have a hard time clearing the whole base unless you're not rushed and having single-target inferno tower can damage the tank troops which is really helpful since now other defences can take care of the troops with fewer hitpoints
