It’s up to you whether you like them hot or cold. If hot then put them in boiling water for 2 minutes to reheat.
what is the texture like if you over cook them?
They dry out and can be stringy in texture.

I hear you only break off one claw from each crab,then throw them back in the water, in time the claw will grow back
If you only break one it leaves them more vulnerable (ironically) to predators because they have a false sense of security thinking only one claw can defend them.
