I believe it's your accent that TRULY GAVE ME CONFIDENCE IN YOUR EXPERTISE. For those outside the USA who only know a southern accent from HollyWood movies you may be used to hearing that accent whenever someone DUMB is talking (Horrible hollywood elitist stereotypes). *BUT FOR THOSE OF US IN THE US* we know that accent is that of a working man, AKA THE GUY WHO KNOWS HOW TO BUILD AND FIX STUFF! Thanks for the video.
I appreciate that, I just didn’t have extra money for cross rails at the time so I had to get creative. Not sure about the genius part though, thank you for watching
Very cool design....the dealer cross bars are outrageously expensive and the stuff on amazon is cheap garbage.....I love the amazon reviews that say things like "boy, were we surprised to see our kayaks on the interstate behind us!" Anyway, you've inspired me....thank you!
If there is wind noise from the cross rails, it is most likely hidden by the wind noise from the cargo carrier that we use. I only use the cross rails while using the cargo carrier.
Do you know what type of side rails these are? I’ve got a system that can be used already on that style and would save me a bunch of money but I can’t find side rail. I see now I have to put the c channel in the top of mine to be able to put the one cross members in but then they are aero and I have round bars.
I love your videos especially your camping trailer is there any way you could do another video on your trailer such as a video where you take it camping or just a update on it?!
Thank you so much. I actually pulled the trailer out Monday to clean it up a little and set it up to make a few videos, this video happened to be one that was recorded Monday, notice the trailer parked behind the van. Before I did anything I had to pull it around the block just for the heck of it, lol. I have received several requests for a video of the trailer set up just as it is when camping, I am planning on taking a long weekend just for that and I'll set up everything that we use and make a video for the channel. I'm not sure when I will do that due to our busy schedule but I hope to fit it in soon. I made a couple videos Monday so be on the lookout for those as well as a 2000 subscribers give away. Thank you for the comments and thank you for watching.
amazing going to make one for my car and the good thing is that i can place em as far on the front as possible that you cant do with other more Expensive ones :) thanks for the amazing Tip Simple But Perfect!
very creative. I am trying to build one on my 4x4 Suburban. A roof rack that I could actually access and sit on for hunting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
"Find you some scraps, and make something." I love this attitude.
Thank you very much and thank you for watching
Terrific idea I'm not paying dealer for side bars .Great made out of aluminum no rust no chips. Thanks Dale

Thanks for the video. Do you get wind noise and if yes how do you eliminate it.
Thanks

Cool! Gonna try make some
Cool! Although it would have been nice to see how you mount your car carrier to your roof rack, but cool none the less!
Wow this is great! I'm probably going to do this soon I can't find any good cross bars. Thanks!
Thank you, I agree, I couldn't find any cross bars that I liked and that seemed strong enough for a reasonable price. Thank you for watching.
That’s awesome! IF you were willing to make 3 of those to fit a Nissan Rouge (2016), how much would you charge me w/ shipping? In Maryland.

good idea and you can't beat cheap or free lol
where can I buy these hardwares? Home Depot or Lowes? or any other stores?
The bolts, washers and wing nuts were bought at Lowes but Home Depot has them as well.
+Jeff Furr thank you. What about the cross bar? Did you make it or buy it?
+Jeff Furr what about the L style holder?
+Jack An I made the cross bar and the and the attachment, I only purchased the bolts, washers and wing nuts.
+Jeff Furr I see, I thought I can buy it somewhere.
nice!
Safety first! Roof rails shouldn't be a diy job.
More time than money....the story of my life.
