No need to iron your sheets. Simply spray them with a mist of plain water (use any spray bottle). You can do this every day when you make your bed; the sheets will de-wrinkle and will look pristine, like they were just ironed. This is a luxury hotel tip. You're welcome.
Oh is that the reason I see on the market those lavender spray sheets?
Will this work for silk?
If it’s made while still
Wet won’t it get mildew
@@bunnybubs757 There not soaked, silly billy, its a quick gentle spray.

This reminds me of my mom. I remember she would iron our sheets. Twice a year, she would wash & iron her drapes/curtains in the living room, dining room, and kitchen.
As a housewife, she always took enjoyment in presenting the house like a hotel. My younger sister & I would complain. Wow, this brings by nostalgic feelings. . . We dreaded SAT morning cleanings!
Yes, this reminds me of what I experienced as a child. . . . I never adopted this tradition; come to think of it, I don't think any of my three sisters did either. I easily can remember looking in our linen closet and she'd have all of the sheets & table clothes neatly pressed & folded. Hmmm, I believe a little of my mom's practices carried over in my life because when you open my linen closet, all of my sheets & towels are uniformly lined--NOT pressed. LoL
My mom, she'd cook & clean as a hotel personnel. It always seemed like too much work to me, but reflecting as an adult, I see her GREATNESS!

I never thought to iron the sheets ON THE BED! I've been wrestling with them on the ironing board like a dummy. Thanks, sis.
Brand Watts - I discovered this only a week ago!! I thought I was being lazy doing this but it made sense at the time, so pleasantly surprised to see her ironing on the bed. I too was struggling with the ironing board.
Right! I'm used to ironing them...NEVER!
Me too! I was today years old when I learned this.
Now I feel kinda dumb for doing it on a board. 😂🤣
Why like a dummy I always think that would burn the bed.
Wamsutta used to be proudly made right here in SC, USA,...from spinning the cotton into yarn to weaving to sewing and packaging and shipping by Springs Industries, originally Springs Cotton Mills. I worked there for almost 25 years. We all lost our jobs and manufacturing went to Brazil...shame shame shame!!!
Bring back our Jobs!
That's awful, America needs to change
At least it's not China! 🚫
But yeah, we do need to bring our manufacturing back to the USA. I seek out Made in USA products.
@@coriebarnes8680agree!!!!
we need to stop outsourcing.

“I turn the pillow towards the inside of the bed so that it scratches my wife and not me”

As soon as she said that I looked for this is the comments. Yo me too. Lol
Way to go "Romeo"😒

It's like you know what step of decorating I'm at at every turn! Thank you for this because this girl cannot think spatially or compositionally without your help
In addition to ironing the following day when I make my bed I spray In a spray bottle...quarter cup of downy , fill with hot water, and 2 caps of rubbing alcohol. Let dissolve. Spritz as fabric freshener and flatten with your hands the pillows and duvet cover. That’s what I read hotels do. The smells is amazing and wrinkles gone!!! Enjoy
Wow good to know thank you love
I do water and lemon with a hint of lavender or peppermint oil. So refreshing and keep bugs away
Will definitely be trying this
Ooooooh I’m going to try this! I swear the wrinkles make my skin wrinkled and then I am itchy 😩
I'm learning a lot already from this comment.
Not sure if anyone has told you about tucking sheets and comforter using wide wood or bamboo spatula. Works wonderfully and saves your hands. I use the ones from Dollar Store. They don't break
I totally agree with thread count, I also love wamsutta I usually go for a higher thread count but I’m going to give these a try. Also I don’t have the energy to iron my bedding. I also recommend spending money on pillows.
You got me with that first sentence 😄😄. Look, I don't mind flying on the wing of the plane if it means I can save some money towards staying in a fantastic hotel. Those 4/5 star hotel beds be insane 😍.
I LOVE YOUR VIDS! IM NOT JOKING WHEN I SAY I HAVE WATCHED ALMOST ALL YOUR VIDS THIS WEEK
OMGGG Thanks so so much Derek!! 😭😭💕💕
I just discovered your videos today and have been watching all morning!!! I'm hooked, you cover everything that many of us struggle with. Thank you and regards from Athens Greece!
I have a Wamsutta comforter (the damask) and its literally my favorite comforter EVER. Im a super hot sleeper and the pima cotton is soon smooth and keeps you cool but still warm and cozy. Its amazing.
I actually treatment myself to this comforter set late last year and it is amazing! Makes my bedroom feel so luxurious and comforting.
Yes!! Such a treat!! 💕
I appreciate how you are straight to the point and make things sound so easy. Thank you 😊
Hello how are you doing today?
Thank you - perfect timing and very helpful, affordable ways to put together a luxurious bed.
A big thanks for the valuable helpful TIPS. It sure makes the bed very warm, relaxing & inviting for a cozy slumber.
Iron sheets? You lost me..😂❤
Love your vid. I do all this already. Only exception is I got all of my bedding from Burlington Coat Factory. I got 2 sets of sheets, Satin pillow cases, 4 standard pillows, a decorative pillow and a really pretty white comforter for like $10 more than what I spent for one comforter set at Bed Bath beyond.
I never knew it was called hospital corners, but I've always done that! It looks so much nicer and the sheets won't get out of place!
Yep, learned to make them as an Army brat and when I was in the Air Force basic training, you had to have immaculate hospital corners or your butt was grass!,
Actually was called " mitering" the corners...lol. Not hospital corners. Lol. We had to do this to be checked off in our practicum....I enjoy doing. So easy
You are awesome. I love ironed sheets, people look at me crazy when my husband tells them. Lol. You have made my life easier on the tip of ironing them on the bed. Just a note. Egyptian cotton is mostly made in India and China. Supima is the best in the world and is grown only in America. Also higher thread count isn’t always better, I stay around 600. Higher than that is usually cheaper cotton.
Ironed sheets are the best! My husband would ask me that 20 years ago why I ironed the sheets and now he can't live without the ironed sheet.....Yeah, I agree as higher thread count is not always better...Simply amazing!!!!
Ironing sheets is just not going to happen lol
I know.... seriously...😳
I barely wanna make my bed 😂
@@luzluz07 me too. I tidy the covers. And it's an effort
I change the sheets once a week and that's when I make the bed. If I know company is coming over I will make the bed but my fear of Covid took that off the plate lol
they are covered by the comforter so there really isn't any use; unless you just wanna say that you did.
I prefer to wash and dry sheets before I put my new sheets on the bed. Which will get rid of you having to iron them and brings out the quality of the sheets more.
And as one of my managers at work said, "You don't know what monkey was in that factory flinging it's poo!" Wash everything!
Exactly, I was raised to always wash new garments and bedding before use to get rid of any chemicals that were used in the finishing process before packaging etc
@@angelmorris7361 lmaoooo
You still could to iron after the wash.
I never thought about ironing sheets and such while they're on the bed. Good idea!
I use 2 pillowcases. Partly for hygienic reasons , partly for comfort and partly for appearance. The first pillowcase is to keep pillows fresh. Sometimes they come with a zippered case. If not , I use a lyocell fabric case in white . Then the 2nd pillowcase on top looks brighter, crisper and cozier. Remove both when washing. If pillowcases open on then end instead of the middle then you put the second case on from the opposite end as the first so that the pillow is completely wrapped .
Pillow tip: turn the pillowcase inside out and put your hands into it, grab the corners of the pillow on the side the label is on, and roll the pillowcase over the pillow. Much easier than trying to stuff it in.
You’re speaking my love language!! Doing new bedding now!!
Bella.. Hi good morning
Wonderful tips and tricks!🙌👏👏👏 it looks SO luxurious and comfy
Watching your videos while moving and preparing my house, which I hope will be our home for the next 10 years 🥰
When I needed it most..you delivered!
❤️❤️❤️
I never knew you could double stuff your duvet! I'm going to try it this weekend!
So smart to look at more than just thread count. The fiber is just as important and also the weave. Sateen is a special weave with long threads on the top, so it automatically feels smoother.
I love this channel and will hire you to design my home when I purchase this summer.
You’re wonderful!! So glad I found you been binging your videos. Thank you!!
RUclips has been trying to make me watch your videos for the longest. I finally gave in now I can't stop binge watching
I’ve binged watched 6 episodes from ur channel today. You are amazing. Love your content.
Thank you so so much Taneisha! 💕
Thank you so much for the tips. Very helpful girl.
Would love a video on redoing/updating a bed frame! My bed is a big, solid wood, 4-post bed. It’s good quality, but I am over it! Trying to figure out how to bring it into this decade! Thanks for all the content! Favorite RUclipsr to date!! ❤
Great tips and advice. Love the Wamsutta line. Great style for the price. Thanks for sharing. 💕

OMG thank you so much Michelle!! You're so so sweet! 💕
Thanks, for sharing your mad deco skills, gotta go binge watch and catch up.

Yay congrats on the new mattress!! Thanks for watching Cheryl!! 💕
I never would have thought of ironing the sheets ON the bed! Thank you!!
Donna Stokes, good morning how are you?
Pro Tip:
(or ghetto tip depending on how you look at it) . 😂
If you get a great nights rest on the hotel's pillows...take off the casing (yes it's a pain as there are sometimes several to peel away) and check the name of the pillow. Nine times outta 10 Amazon carries it. It won't be cheap (even on Amazon) but think of how much money you've wasted over the years on both cheap and expensive pillows "hoping" to find the perfect one!! You're probably saying, "But why not just just ask the staff what pillows they use"? I did, and they directed me to the brands website...but the brand had 10 different pillows!!! That's why you need the NAME, sooooooooooo...get to peeling! 😋
I recently did this. Stayed at a hotel and loved the comforter. Took a picture of the tag to see if I could find the same brand.
You are so right.. and I was told by a housekeeper (Disney) that the more you pay for your room the better the linen.
Nah. I just stuff one pillow in my carryon for the ride home. Building an empire of pillows one pillow at a time.

Diane Chapman, how are you doing?
I iron sheets and duvet covers or I hang them over my loft railing partially damp so the weight of it smoothies out any wrinkles. Definitely iron pillowcases. Nothing like a crisp fresh bed. Great video.
So many helpful hints and tips! Thanks. 😊
This was a great video for updating my bedroom. Thank you
I enjoy and learn so much from your videos, tfs!
Hi Kiva! I really needed this video. Shopping tonight for bedding. Thanks girl 💕

OMG!!! My favorite sheets Wamsutta'!
I been looking for a video about those Bath and body sheets. Love your videos. 😍
Just discovered your content and couldn’t be more obsessed!
Omg thank you so much Jo-Ann!! Welcome! 💕
How are you doing 😊👋☺️
Love you KB!!! I once again agree on everything with this video!!! Now I have to find my BBB sheet set, which I'm guilty of having 12 sets of sheets 🤣😅
Had to paise the video to vouch for Wamsutta sheets. I have dry skin and when I need a pedicure I have been known to tear up some sheets over time. Wamsutta has been great. No pilling (the little bally things when there’s friction). Love, love, love these sheets.
Hello how are you doing today?

Moving to a different state and just bought a new bed. Going to do all of your tips!
So glad I found your channel!!
Thanks for the information!
Love the ironing hack!
Please wash your new bedding first. It’s recommended and most sanitary. I’m always shocked how many people don’t do it.😬
I’ve always washed mine before using. All of my friends thinks I’m too OCD for doing so.
Loved this video - I was just getting ready to change my sheets and duvet cover. I haven't ever ironed it, but ironing it on the bed is genius! I may try it - but that will be a lot of ironing for me since I change my duvet every week. I make sure to buy ones with a high thread count - or make my own with flat sheets. Years ago I stopped using a top sheet, I read somewhere that part of the purpose of using a duvet is being able to do away with a top sheet since you are able to remove and wash a duvet. Since I hated making the bed and messing with getting the sheets straight, I jumped right on that bandwagon 😁!
I started using high thread count sheets at least 15 years ago. My husband said they were nice, thought I was crazy to spend that much on them, and couldn't tell much difference from the cheap ones. About 6 months later we were travelling and stayed in a hotel. After the first night he got up and saying the sheets felt like sandpaper, and since then has always made sure we have excellent sheets. He now says life is too short to sleep on low quality sheets 😂😂😂
Omg life is too short to sleep on low quality sheets!! I LOVE that. 😂😂😂😂
Just subscribed. Moving to a new home at the end of the month def using these tips! Thanks!!
Welcome to my channel!! So happy that you found this helpful! 💕
