Nearly 3 years later and after many failed attempts, I found the song by luck in the desciption of a RUclips video
It was already very old when it came out so it can only get older with time. To be clear I don't mean that as a negative, they just really nailed that retro almost nostalgic feeling of old film. When every film was essentially an indie endeavor.
