      @@commonsenseskeptic i mean obviously he wasnt the first person to think of landing rockets but he was the first to implement it. its not an easy task and he had to invent many technologies just to make the rocket land itself. tesla is leading in battery technology which they invented. its not stealing though. the person who would have thought of the idea a long time ago would have never been able to make it into reality. for example, edison never invented the light bulb but perfected the work of 22 other men. but it was because of edison that millions got access to light fast.

This one is just a scale model of original. ... real rocket needs much more research work. .. hardware and many safety arrangements. ... n this one was a crewed rocket. .. so it becomes more difficult to make n do everything without any flaws. ... n for this reason soo much money is being spent on rocket launch

    2020-10-08: RUclips recommended this video on my birthday. Thank you YT! This was truly an amazing video. I watched & loved all of the space shots beginning with Mercury when I was a kid. The Saturn V was my favorite and watching it getting ready to launch looked like viewing from a great distance like the real thing. Was so impressed that you got a 36.5’ rocket to launch and achieve that height with so much mass. Beautiful launch, great MECO followed by successful chute deployment, and a perfect 50s sci-fi landing that even Elon Musk is appreciative about. Fantastic, and the use of “Also sprach Zarathrusta” was prefect touch for music. Would love to hear about how it was made. Again, epic!

    • @fatboyrowing

      Thomas Anholm... I will check it out. Right now I’m content with a decent understanding of Newtonian physics. However I think it’s extremely cool that we have clocks so accurate they can detect a 20mm elevation increase. And. I remember 35 years ago my physics professor proving that the speed of light doesn’t change based upon your reference system. Standing on the moon or in a space ship doing the speed of light... C appears the same. One day I’ll try to wrap my brain around Einstein’s theory and the concept of space-time. But for now I’m happy to have gravity keep my antique motorcycle from floating off into space!

    • @fatboyrowing
      @fatboyrowing 4 года назад

      Thomas Anholm, the speed of light does change in a medium. But the apparent speed of light doesn’t change wether the observer is moving or not (if I remember correctly).
      And one day I’d love to have an old Bonneville (pre unit maybe) in my garage. You Brits have built some cool bikes. Good luck on your studies. I’m glad you are doing something noble and valuable (I’m biased toward the sciences). My daughter is studying bio as well. She just started in the university in the US.
      We were talking about gravity and my son does an extreme gravity sport: downhill mountain biking. A few years ago I unknowingly was chatting with a world champ, an Englishman, Danny Hart at a race here in the US. Cool guy.

    More about the rocket:
    On April 25, 2009, the largest amateur rocket ever launched took off from Higgs Farm in southern Maryland. The 36-foot, 1,648-pound, 1:10 ratio scale model of the Saturn V rocket that launched Apollo astronauts on their journey to the moon roared into the sky, reaching an altitude of 4,441 feet.
    Steve Eves of Akron, Ohio, who was 51 at the time, built a Saturn V rocket model in his garage, at a cost of $30,000. Eves built his rocket to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Apollo 11, the first manned rocket to the moon, launched on July 16, 1969, and launched his own record-breaking rocket at the Higgs farm facility.
