Erin, you should buy pots from the indigenous people and sell them to your viewers. I would definitely purchase one or two. It would be great to be able to support the indigenous tribes and you. ❤

@@evem4876 what will happen as the that tradition here in the US is dying out with all the young people wanting to eat out and people not cooking anymore? I learned to cook from my SIL who was from mexico. I'm 62 and I'm Mexican at heart!
I made the rice your Suegra’s way and my Marrido is a Mexican man. So I have cooked a version of this rice for a long time. It is simmering now… about 10 more minutes😛. I took a picture of mine after I got everything in it and it looked exactly like hers. I have great expectations😀.
I’m so happy you take care of the little stray dog, I feel so bad for him. You and your children are so nice and loving to him. Thank you for your kindness. ❤
Erin, you are so lucky to have a mother in law like Lalo's mom.Shr reminded me my ex mother in law Rip, she used to tell me that she loved me like a real daughter, I used to tell her the love is mutual🙏💖I miss her so much,Anyways, have a beautiful weekend my beautiful hard working family🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💝💝💝💝💝💝💝

Love hearing your precious daughters speak in Spanish! The rice looks so delicious! I haven’t seen the little kitty in a while hope it’s doing well! Blessings from Katy, Texas!
Hi, I’m from California. Your family reminds me of my family. My husband and I have four girls and one boy I had to stop the video at the 20:06 mark because I started crying so hard missing my children when they were young. Your Annabel reminds me so much of our Alvina when she was young. My husband is from Morelos Mexico. I’ve been there four times, I love it there I’ve always wanted to live there, but my husband prefers to live in the states. Thank you for sharing your life in Mexico with us.!!! God bless your beautiful family!!! ❤️🙏✝️🥰
Hi Erin! You have a beautiful family and thanks for sharing the horse riding lessons! So sweet! I’m an animal lover as well, so ROCKY FEEL BETTER! 😽❤️🩹
God willing I may go to Guadalajara in December. I want to eat tacos con salsa just like you eat them. My mouth waters every time you show us what you are eating. Your videos are so family oriented filled wth love and respect for nature and one another. I feel those values are short these days. May the lord bless you and your family. Happy start of the week.
Hi I just subscribed to your channel a few months ago and I love watching your family life in Mexico. Brings memories of when I use to go with my dad to see my Grandma and relatives many moons ago. Everyone is gone now but me and my husband are thinking of retiring and moving to the state of Jalisco which is where both my parents were from. We just turned 60 but thought about moving because we are being drawn back to our roots I guess🤗. I especially would love to buy a ranch style home and have lots of animals to keep busy with. But anyway I saw the rice recipe and low in behold it's exactly like how my precious momma use to it. I'm glad me and my sister learned how to make it the same. We would get compliments on who brought the rice to family parties because the rice tasted so delicious on what the recipe requires on how to make. You are so lucky to have a wonderful mother in law and seeing her reminds me of my mother which I miss so much. Maybe the Jaliscienses do this pretty much the same just maybe😊. But I'm so so happy I have learned how to make this rice recipe and I can kick myself that I didn't learn more recipes from my mom which I do regret now. But anyway I want to send blessings to you and you're family and to tell you I am hooked on watching your channel🙏.
I love your rancho. My Mom was born in Mexico and came to Texas when she was 3. She passed away in 1995, I've always wanted to visit. I'm a simple person, I think I would fit in. Your way of life is so beautiful. God bless you and your family. ❤
Hello Erin, the indigenous people from Jalisco, Nayarit and Durango are "Wicholes" and I'm sure the dialect they speak is called "Wichol" My mother is from Jalisco and my dad was from Michoacan and over there the indigenous people are known as "Tarascos" and the dialect is "Tarasco. I really enjoy watching your RUclips channel. And thank you for caring for my compatriotas Mejicanos. May God in heaven bless you and your family forever. Kind regards, from San Diego California. Yes we have that kind of rice here. Mostly in the Mexican Markets. 😊 That’s how I make my rice. But with my diabetes I can’t eat it any more 🥺 It looks delicious 😋
Hello from Austin, TX! I'm obsessed (but not in a weird way...lol) with watching your vlogs. I just adore your family dynamics and and i'm also fascinated in the rancho life. My Mom is Mexican and was born in La Barca but was raised in Chicago. We visited our family's ranch when I was a child and I still have fond memories of it and that was over 40 years ago! Thank you for sharing your life with us and please send all your family my well wishes!
Me gusta muchos tus recetas yo también pongo puré de tomate en mi arroz voy a buscar la marca del arroz. Tu suegra tiene muy chipilones a los nietos con cuanto amor les prepara su comida❤❤ muchas bendiciones.
Thank you so much to your suegra for showing how to make the rice! 🙏❤. It’s a wonderful recipe! I will make it! I like your idea of the Amazon wish list. You are contributing so much to the rancho! I can see why you prefer drinking from the clay cups the stainless steel mugs impart a different flavour to the coffee, I always drink from glass mugs! I just love ❤ your vlogs, I feel like I am there!
Hola aquí en México en cada estado de la república se cosina diferente pero este arroz se veía delicioso y el chicharrón aún más y que mejor que toda la familia bendiciones para todos ustedes 🙏🙏🙏
This is how my mother made rice. In the States you can get calrose rice or a Jasmine medium grain rice. That's probably the closest to the rice you get in Mexico
I just made the rice and it was DELICIOUS!! I live in Southern California and we have great Mexican restaurants and this rice smelled and tasted BETTER!! Thank you for sharing.
Hi Erin, I love your videos, they feel so authentic. It would be nice showing like day in the life of your family friend, when she wakes up to milk the cows and so. Gives us a different perspective of what a 8-5pm would be living in a rancho, living off your land.
Hello Erin! I stumbled upon your channel and have been binge watching! 😊 Your content puts a smile on my face because it’s so refreshing to see someone enjoy their life so much. What a contagious gift your joy is. I’ve been loving the cooking parts a lot. My husband and I retired from a large family farm where we had generations of Mexican families come to work…and eventually live. I love them and their love of life and family. I can see why you love your rancho life and culture. Thanks for the great cooking content….now I’m determined to find a clay cooking pot in Idaho! lol
The goat was like - wait? There’s TWO of them?? In Louisiana when we butcher a pig we fry the skin and it’s called cracklings. I just had some yesterday. So good. It’s 3 layers-crunchy skin, layer of fat and then the meat. Pop it in your mouth and it’s so good. Ours are seasoned when they come out the oil. I cannot wait to cook some Mexican rice. Question-why chunks of onion and handful of cilantro. Here we would dice everything up so onion is throughout the dish.
For sure, The rancho & town is Blessed by your presence, as is your Family....truly you are such a Beautiful Soul....Love your videos, Great content as well....May God Bless you & Keep you, :May his Grace shine upon you & give you peace.💙
Que delicioso se veia el arroz, realmente se me antojo, y los taquitos con su cilantro, todo un manjar, todas las comidas que preparan se me hacen tan ricas.
I taught my daughter how to make rice using a coffee cup as well. I told her use the same one every time so you can get used to what it’s supposed to look like when it’s done. Including texture, cooking time and the amount of seasonings she’ll need. Oh and the amount of people one cup can feed.

Oh I forgot. I tried the Oaxaca cheese and I love it. It tastes like this asadero cheese you can only get in this little town called San Elizario by my home town of Fabens. Near El Paso Texas. It is shaped like a corn tortilla and tastes so good with tortilla de maiz and Hatch New Mexico green Chile. The best quesadilla ever 😋
